The house MEERZEIT can be reached by train, bus, and in 10 minutes on foot.
Prices include final cleaning, utility costs (electricity, water, etc.), and 1 linen package per person.
In summer as in winter (the house has underfloor heating), five comfortably furnished rooms await you on 112 sqm of living space—functionally designed and aesthetically appealing. You will stay in an individual atmosphere and feel like you are with friends. In the spacious ground floor, an open, modern kitchen with all the "bells and whistles" is at your disposal. At the elegant-rustic dining table (6 seats + high chair), you can enjoy family meals or friendly games (also on the terrace in the garden); in the sitting area in front of the fireplace, you can relax, watch TV or DVDs, listen to the radio or CDs. Those interested will find a variety of games and books on the topic of the SEA in the boat shelves. Wi-Fi is available to you. The 3 rooms on the upper floor are furnished as cozy bedrooms (2 double beds + 2 single beds + 1 baby or toddler bed 60 cm x 120 cm, up to 15 kg), but also have small sitting areas or a desk; all windows (except for the semi-circular dormer window) are equipped with blackout blinds.
Every room in the house has at least 1 fly screen, so ventilation is possible without any problems.
You can chill in the house, you can grill in the garden (on the terrace) . . . and . . . when you’ve had enough of that . . . you can head into the glorious nature of northern Rügen.
The holiday home MEERZEIT is located in a small, quiet settlement between the “Schaabe,” a long bathing beach with the finest sand (comfortably reachable on foot in 10 minutes), the idyllic harbor, a rather impressive steep coast, the calm Bodden, and an extensive forest. This way, you are very close to nature in every season and can experience it in all its diversity. Also quickly accessible (by bicycle 5 - 10 minutes) in Glowe are: 2 bakeries, 1 supermarket (open in summer from Monday to Sunday), 3 ice cream parlors, various fish stalls, different restaurants, bicycle rentals; for larger shopping trips you can reach Sagard (Netto, Aldi, Tedox, Stolz) or Altenkirchen (Netto, Stolz) by car in 10 minutes.
It takes about 20 minutes by car to Sassnitz, 30 to Binz, and about 45 minutes to Mönchsgut.
The house includes 2 car parking spaces. But: You do not have to arrive by car. By train you can travel to Sassnitz, Bergen, Lietzow or Sagard, then bus 12/13 (direction Altenkirchen/Dranske) will take you almost to MEERZEIT (get off at "Glowe, Strandpromenade" + 5 minutes on foot).
Under our thatched roof we do not have a wallbox! But: about 500 m away, right next to the supermarket, so in the center, there are 2 publicly accessible charging stations for e-cars. Charging should take about 15 minutes – about as long as a shopping trip.

Location and surroundings of object
We love the quaint fishing village of Glowe, and when we are there:
... we bask on the fine sandy beach, the "Schaabe", where you can swim with or without, and feel like we are in paradise
... we watch the sunset in the evening, go to the "Ostseeperle" (architect: Ulrich Müther) to eat fish, pizza or ice cream, sometimes there is handmade country music on the terrace, afterwards we light a campfire behind the harbour (campfire site) and look at the starry sky, the waves lapping softly, opposite the lighthouses of Cape Arkona are twinkling
... we cycle through the nature reserve to Spyker Castle, along the Bodden to eat fresh fish in Polchow, or through the dune forest (right behind the house) through wonderful nature to the harbour town of Breege (if you prefer something more sporty, continue northwards to Wiek, Cape Arkona or Dranske)
... we collect thunderbolts and chicken gods on the cliffs and look for amber
... especially in autumn, winter and spring we discover the beauty of the Bodden again and again, we walk through hills covered with wild sea buckthorn along the dyke, see seabirds, hear them chattering softly, in October we watch the cranes fortifying themselves on harvested maize fields for their flight southwards, best on the island of Ummanz
... we visit the lighthouses of Cape Arkona, the "Rügenhof" in Putgarten and drink coffee in the "Helene-Weigel-Haus", walk along the steep coast to Vitt, a very cute fishing village
... we take the boat to Hiddensee (from Breege, Wiek or Schaprode)
... if there is a music evening or a reading in the wonderful brick church in Altenkirchen, we go there a little earlier, take a stroll in the church garden, after the cultural enjoyment there is a farm restaurant with an open-air barbecue opposite
... we enjoy the almost Italian flair of the harbour town/old town of Sassnitz and are always overwhelmed by the chalk coast
... we also want to believe in the good again and therefore visit Klaus Störtebeker in Ralswiek, who fights for justice in front of a wonderful natural backdrop
... we take a cool stroll along the tree-top walk near Prora, and when we reach the top we have a wonderful view over the whole island, which we would otherwise have had to climb hard to reach
... following in Caspar David Friedrich's footsteps, we hike from Lohme's steep coast through the primeval beech forests (UNESCO World Natural Heritage) to the Königsstuhl - wonderful!
... Bergen's church with its murals and monastery courtyard is also beautiful
... we steam with the Rasenden Roland towards the Granitz hunting lodge, climb the tower, see picturesque Rügen at our feet and feel like Malte
... it is always nice to spend a day in Stralsund: you can have a wonderful meal at the harbour, look at the newly built maritime museum, stroll through the old town, visit the town hall, St. Mary's Church, the market square, the historic maritime museum ... visit
... in the evening we sometimes go to Dranske, sit on the concrete wall at the bow, watch the sun go down behind Hiddensee, think of Kruso and remember that in the past everything here was only accessible to the NVA
... of course we also explore the beautiful south of the island of Rügen: Lauterbach with its harbour and view to the island of Vilm, Putbus with its famous circle and the English landscape park, the Mönchsgut ...

In the high season: Arrival and departure usually on Saturdays - always arranged so that connections work.
Upon arrival: House manager hands over the keys or PIN/contactless via safe - beds are usually made, linens and filled-out spa cards are ready, payment of the spa tax in cash upon departure.

High recovery factor
Even in the cold season, one can relax well in this perfectly equipped holiday home. An evening by the fireplace or in the sauna followed by a snow bath is simply great.
We love to come back again and again!!

Pure relaxation
The house of the Becker family invites you to relax and unwind.
We had a very nice week in this accommodation, with sensational good weather.
For anyone looking for relaxation and a break, this holiday home is the right place. Chill out in front of the fireplace in the evenings or relax in the sauna. It was super nice!

Take a deep breath and soak up the sun in and around the house Sea Time.
Dear Becker family,
my friend and I eagerly set off from the dreary city to the island of Rügen and were overjoyed by the sunny and warm welcome in the middle of winter at the House Meerzeit, surrounded by many inviting Swedish houses nestled among pine trees.
Even as a pair, the light-filled spacious living area with large sofas and the connected dining area with two adjacent terraces was extremely cozy. You enter the spacious kitchen, equipped with everything necessary, also from the entrance area. Here, too, the light shines through the windows from two sides into the room, creating an indescribable atmosphere. It goes without saying that all the other rooms and bathrooms sweeten the stay through their functional and lovingly designed furnishings. Many heartfelt thanks for these wonderful days in this cozy accommodation and the impressive nature. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful SEA TIME Christmas! Highly recommended!
We were six (4 adults, 2 children) in this wonderful house over Christmas and New Year's. It is tastefully decorated, of high quality, and with a lot of attention to detail, and everything is there that one could wish for (even high-quality mosquito screens). Very practical are the small utility room (HWR) and the shed. There are plenty of cabinets and storage space, and the kitchen has everything you need. Thanks to the super nice caretaker, we even had the opportunity to check in on December 23rd. In the afternoon, we were able to get a Christmas tree and then enjoyed Christmas Eve with a fireplace and sauna visit in our own home. The contact with the landlord was great. The way to the beach is not far, and in summer, Glowe also offers plenty of attractions apart from the beautiful beach. Over the holidays and due to the corona situation, most things were closed, but we had a lot of time to enjoy contemplative holidays (without the stress of leisure activities ;-) ). A trip to the nearby Cape Arkona is always worth it. We found various hag stones and thunderbolts. Highly recommended is the Wild & Rind farm shop between Glowe and Sagard. Otherwise, you can shop well in Glowe itself or - with more selection - in the nearby Sagard. Conclusion: Top house, in a top environment with a top landlord and definitely worth a trip!

Growing up in Saxony, we fell in love with the Baltic Sea, especially with the rustic atmosphere of Nordrügen. There, in the very harsh winter of 1979/80, we found a large amber on the beach which promised future happiness ... and then ... we went (years later) to Rügen so for us ... and there was nothing to look for, we saw in the shade ... no: in the sun we saw a little house standing, the thatched roof shining like curls of beautiful we were about to leave, when it spoke finely: " Shall I .... ... ... ?" Well, I'm sure you know the poem So now the house MEERZEIT stands in our Glower garden. In the past we were often guests in holiday homes ourselves ... and now: we warmly welcome YOU. By the way, did you know that Goethe must have been in Glowe? How else could he have written: "Satisfied rejoice large and small: 'Here I am man, here I may be! ?
