If the Meck-Pomeranian state government imposes a "ban on accommodation" on the island of Rügen because of Corona, the otherwise usual cancellation charges do not apply (see below ); i.e.: In this case, we will pay you back the travel price in full
In summer and winter (the house has underfloor heating), five comfortably furnished rooms await you on 112 square metres of living space - functionally well thought-out and aesthetically pleasing. You will live in an individual atmosphere and feel like you are staying with friends.
On the spacious ground floor you will find an open, modern kitchen with all the "trimmings". At the elegant-rustic dining table (6 seats + baby high chair) you can dine as a family or enjoy a friendly game of cards (likewise on the terrace in the garden); in the sitting area in front of the fireplace you can hang out, watch TV or DVDs, listen to the radio or CDs. If you want, you can find various games and books on the subject of the SEA in the boat shelves. WLAN is at your disposal.
The 3 rooms on the upper floor are furnished as cosy bedrooms (2 double beds + 2 single beds + 1 baby or toddler bed 60 cm x 120 cm, up to 15 kg), but also have small sitting areas or a desk, all windows (except for the semi-circular dormer window) are fitted with blackout blinds.
Every room in the house has at least 1 fly screen, so that ventilation is easy.
In the house you can chill, in the garden you can barbecue (on the terrace) ... and ... when you have had enough ... you can go out into the beautiful nature of Nordrügen
The holiday home MEERZEIT is located in a small, quiet settlement between the "Schaabe", a long bathing beach with finest sand (within 10 minutes walking distance), the idyllic harbour, a quite impressive steep coast, the quiet Bodden and an extensive forest. So you are very close to nature at any time of the year and can experience it in all its diversity.
Also within easy reach (5-10 minutes by bike) in Glowe are: 2 bakeries, 1 supermarket (open from Monday to Sunday in summer), 3 ice-cream parlours, various fish stalls, several restaurants, bicycle hire; for larger purchases, it takes 10 minutes by car to get to Sagard (Netto, Aldi, Tedox, Stolz) or Altenkirchen (Netto, Stolz).
It takes about 20 minutes by car to Sassnitz, 30 minutes to Binz and about 45 minutes to Mönchsgut.
The house has 2 parking spaces. But: You don't have to travel by car. Take the train to Sassnitz, Bergen, Lietzow or Sagard, then the bus 12/13 (direction Altenkirchen/Dranske) will take you almost to the MEERZEIT (exit "Glowe, Strandpromenade" + 5 minutes walk).

Location and surroundings of object
We love the quaint fishing village of Glowe, and when we are there:
... we bask on the fine sandy beach, the "Schaabe", where you can swim with or without, and feel like we are in paradise
... we watch the sunset in the evening, go to the "Ostseeperle" (architect: Ulrich Müther) to eat fish, pizza or ice cream, sometimes there is handmade country music on the terrace, afterwards we light a campfire behind the harbour (campfire site) and look at the starry sky, the waves lapping softly, opposite the lighthouses of Cape Arkona are twinkling
... we cycle through the nature reserve to Spyker Castle, along the Bodden to eat fresh fish in Polchow, or through the dune forest (right behind the house) through wonderful nature to the harbour town of Breege (if you prefer something more sporty, continue northwards to Wiek, Cape Arkona or Dranske)
... we collect thunderbolts and chicken gods on the cliffs and look for amber
... especially in autumn, winter and spring we discover the beauty of the Bodden again and again, we walk through hills covered with wild sea buckthorn along the dyke, see seabirds, hear them chattering softly, in October we watch the cranes fortifying themselves on harvested maize fields for their flight southwards, best on the island of Ummanz
... we visit the lighthouses of Cape Arkona, the "Rügenhof" in Putgarten and drink coffee in the "Helene-Weigel-Haus", walk along the steep coast to Vitt, a very cute fishing village
... we take the boat to Hiddensee (from Breege, Wiek or Schaprode)
... if there is a music evening or a reading in the wonderful brick church in Altenkirchen, we go there a little earlier, take a stroll in the church garden, after the cultural enjoyment there is a farm restaurant with an open-air barbecue opposite
... we enjoy the almost Italian flair of the harbour town/old town of Sassnitz and are always overwhelmed by the chalk coast
... we also want to believe in the good again and therefore visit Klaus Störtebeker in Ralswiek, who fights for justice in front of a wonderful natural backdrop
... we take a cool stroll along the tree-top walk near Prora, and when we reach the top we have a wonderful view over the whole island, which we would otherwise have had to climb hard to reach
... following in Caspar David Friedrich's footsteps, we hike from Lohme's steep coast through the primeval beech forests (UNESCO World Natural Heritage) to the Königsstuhl - wonderful!
... Bergen's church with its murals and monastery courtyard is also beautiful
... we steam with the Rasenden Roland towards the Granitz hunting lodge, climb the tower, see picturesque Rügen at our feet and feel like Malte
... it is always nice to spend a day in Stralsund: you can have a wonderful meal at the harbour, look at the newly built maritime museum, stroll through the old town, visit the town hall, St. Mary's Church, the market square, the historic maritime museum ... visit
... in the evening we sometimes go to Dranske, sit on the concrete wall at the bow, watch the sun go down behind Hiddensee, think of Kruso and remember that in the past everything here was only accessible to the NVA
... of course we also explore the beautiful south of the island of Rügen: Lauterbach with its harbour and view to the island of Vilm, Putbus with its famous circle and the English landscape park, the Mönchsgut ...

In the house there are 6 large beds + 1 toddler/baby bed (120 cm x 60 cm, up to 15 kg).
In the high season: Arrival and departure preferably on Sundays - the roads are truck-free and the supermarket in Glowe is open on Sundays
(possibly also on Saturdays or by arrangement - always so that the connections work out).
On arrival, the caretaker will give you the keys (contactless via safe) and show you into the house.

Pure relaxation
The house of the Becker family invites you to relax and unwind.
We had a very nice week in this accommodation, with sensational good weather.
For anyone looking for relaxation and a break, this holiday home is the right place. Chill out in front of the fireplace in the evenings or relax in the sauna. It was super nice!

Durchatmen und Sonne tanken im und um das Haus Meerzeit herum
Liebe Familie Becker,
meine Freundin und ich, wir sind sehnsuchtsvoll aus der trüben Großstadt zur Insel Rügen aufgebrochen und waren überglücklich über den sonnigen und warmen Empfang mitten im Winter im Haus Meerzeit inmitten vieler einladender und mit Kiefern umgebenen Schwedenhäuser.
Auch zu zweit war der lichtdurchflutete großzügige Wohnraum mit großen Sofas und der angeschlossenen Esszimmer- Ecke mit den zwei angrenzenden Terrassen ausgesprochen kuschelig. In die geräumige und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattete Küche gelangt man auch vom Eingangsbereich aus. Auch hier fällt das Licht von zwei Seiten durch die Fenster in den Raum und sorgt für eine unbeschreibliche Stimmung. Dass auch alle anderen Zimmer wie auch Badezimmer einem durch ihre funktionale und liebevoll gestaltete Einrichtung den Aufenthalt versüßen, versteht sich von selbst. Lieben herzlichen Dank für diese wundervollen Tage in dieser heimeligen Unterkunft und der beeindruckenden Natur. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Wundervolle MEERZEIT-Weihnachten! Sehr empfehlenswert!
Wir waren zu 6 (4 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) über Weihnachten und den Jahreswechsel in diesem wunderbaren Haus. Es ist geschmackvoll, hochwertig und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und alles ist da, was das Herz begehrt (sogar hochwertige Fliegengitter). Sehr praktisch ist der kleine HWR und der Schuppen. Es gibt genügend Schränke und Stauraum und in der Küche ist alles sehr ausreichend vorhanden, was man braucht.
Dank dem super netten Hausmeister hatten wir sogar am 23.12. Nachmittags noch einen Weihnachtsbaum organisieren können und genossen dann den heiligen Abend mit Kaminfeuer und Saunabesuch in den eigenen 4 Wänden. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter lief super. Der Weg zum Strand ist nicht weit und im Sommer hat Glowe auch genug Attraktionen abseits des schönen Strandes zu bieten. Über die Feiertage und aufgrund der Corona-Situation war das meiste geschlossen, aber so hatten wir viel Zeit besinnliche Feiertag zu genießen (ohne Freizeitstress ;-) ) Ein Ausflug zum nicht weit entfernten Kap Arkona lohnt sich immer. Wir haben diverse Hühnergötter und Donnerkeil gefunden. Sehr zu empfehlen ist der Hofladen Wild & Rind zwischen Glowe und Sagard. Ansonsten kann man sowohl in Glowe selbst, als auch - mit mehr Auswahl- im nicht weit entfernten Sagard gut einkaufen.
Fazit: Top Haus, in top Umgebung mit top Vermieter und auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert!

Top ausgestattetes Ferienhaus
Von der tollen Sauna (inkl. verschiedenen Aufguss-Düften) über die perfekt ausgestattete Küche (inkl. Espressokanne und vielerlei Aufbewahrungsboxen), den sehr schönen Grill (Kohle war auch vorhanden), die geschmackvollen Dekos und die bequemen Betten, bis zur perfekten Abwicklung von Ab- und Anreise. Es hat an nichts gefehlt für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Vielen Dank.

Wiederholungstäter
Wir verbrachten hier zum wiederholten Mal eine sehr schöne Urlaubszeit!
Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist, wie in vorherigen Kommentaren bereits beschrieben, liebevoll, bis ins Kleinste durchdacht und qualitativ hochwertig.
Für eine entspannte Zeit - auch mit kleinen Kindern und bei windig-kaltem Wetter - sorgten Kamin, Sauna und die umfangreiche Sammlung an Spielen, CDs und DVDs. Wir kommen sicher wieder...

Ein Ferienhaus welches nichts zu Wünschen übrig lässt
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem wunderschön kreativ und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Haus. Dabei hat die Vermieterin jedoch die praktischen Dinge keinesfalls vernachlässigt.Von Mückengittern vor den Fenstern (worüber wir sehr froh waren) und Verdunkelungsrollos dahinter, genügend Haken und Ablagen im Badezimmer bis zu einer perfekt eingerichteten Küche lässt die Einrichtung keine Wünsche offen. Für Regentage sind sogar Bücher, DVDs und Spiele vorhanden.
Wir kommen gern wieder.

Really great holiday home
The house is beautifully designed and super furnished, very lovingly maintained and equipped with many practical things (starting from the complete kitchen, to the sauna, internet and TV, to the baby cot and other little things) - no matter if it was sunshine or a cold rainy day: we didn't miss anything. Very friendly communication with the landlady and the caretaker rounded off a super experience.

Ferien in Familie
Das Haus ist wunderschön. Für 2 Familien vom Platz her ausreichend. Wir hatten Strandwetter und Fußballweltmeisterschaft, sodass die Zeit wie im Flug verging. Einziger Kritikpunkt, die erste Wäsche hat nach Nikotin gerochen (trotzdem sie eingeschweißt war), die 3 mal Wäsche, die am Anreisetag nachgeliefert war, war einwandfrei. Trotzdem eine schöne Zeit. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Da wir gerade selbst in Glowe waren, haben wir das Problem vor Ort mit Hausmeister und Reinigungsteam besprochen: Im Raum, wo die Wäschepakete lagern, wird nicht geraucht, im Anlieferungsauto ebenfalls nicht.
Aber: das Team stellte fest, dass die Folie, in der die Wäschepakete (von einer Reinigung) eingeschweißt und angeliefert wird, komisch riecht. Herr Halbach wird sich - gleich nach dem Wochenende - mit dem Problem an die Wäscherei wenden.
Vielleicht sollte man endlich aufhören, alles in Folie zu verpacken?! (Aber das würden einige Gäste auch bemängeln, obwohl es für unsere Umwelt dringend notwendig ist!)

Wirklich empfehlenswert!
Unser Urlaub in Glowe war trotz nass-kalter Witterung nicht zuletzt dank des tollen Ferienhauses sehr entspannend.
Für unser Kind (2 Jahre) war von Spielzeugkiste über Kindertoilettensitz bis Bollerwagen alles vorhanden, nach Strandspaziergängen wärmten wir uns am Kamin oder in der Sauna auf, die Küche ist mit wirklich allem ausgestattet was man braucht, und die Einrichtung insgesamt sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich..
Und wenn doch etwas benötigt wird, ist der Kontakt zu Hausmeister und Vermieterin schnell und unkompliziert.
Wir kommen wieder!

Schönes Haus mit liebevollen Details
Das Ferienhaus ist geschmack- und liebevoll eingerichtet, an alles ist gedacht, vom Kartoffelschäler bis zum Brettspiel für die Familie, sodass man völlig entspannt seinen Urlaub genießen kann. Begrüßt wird man bei Betreten des Hauses von einem lustigen Fischschwarm, der dem Haus eine besondere Note verleiht.

ein tolles Haus
Wir 4 Freunde sind ganz begeistert von dem Ferienhaus Meerzeit in Glowe auf Rügen. Es ist so liebevoll eingerichtet, und dabei ganz praktisch, die Küche ist super ausgestattet.
Wir haben uns, als Xavier tobte, ganz in die Hörspiele, Filme und Bücher vertieft, saßen um den Kamin herum und fanden es prima!
Die Umgebung ist abwechslungsreich und wir konnten viel unternehmen. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Ostseeperle- ein toller Ort mit gutem Service.
Vielen Dank, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Growing up in Saxony, we fell in love with the Baltic Sea, especially with the rustic atmosphere of Nordrügen. There, in the very harsh winter of 1979/80, we found a large amber on the beach which promised future happiness ... and then ... we went (years later) to Rügen so for us ... and there was nothing to look for, we saw in the shade ... no: in the sun we saw a little house standing, the thatched roof shining like curls of beautiful we were about to leave, when it spoke finely: " Shall I .... ... ... ?" Well, I'm sure you know the poem So now the house MEERZEIT stands in our Glower garden. In the past we were often guests in holiday homes ourselves ... and now: we warmly welcome YOU. By the way, did you know that Goethe must have been in Glowe? How else could he have written: "Satisfied rejoice large and small: 'Here I am man, here I may be! ?
