Our apartment Sanddornstube is located on the ground floor and is 63 sqm in size, thus offering ample space for up to 4 people (of which at most 1 child).
Out of consideration for our older guests, we only accommodate children from 6 years of age. Children under 6 years only on request.
Not suitable for wheelchair or walker!
The lovingly and very cozily furnished apartment in country house style is bright and friendly.

Location and surroundings of object
In Baabe in the scenically beautiful Mönchgut, our holiday home is located in a side street only 300 m away from one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the island of Rügen.
You can easily reach all shopping facilities such as supermarkets (Lidl, Aldi, Nah und Frisch) and bakeries as well as restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours, bicycle rental etc. on foot. It is also only a stone's throw to the spa treatments, the spa administration and the stops of the "Rasender Roland" and the Bimmelbahn. The large fun pool in Sellin is also only a few minutes away by car.
A relaxing walk along the beach promenade will take you to either Goehren or Sellin, and from Baabe you can set off on the most beautiful cycling tours along the coast or through the varied inland.

GREAT HOLIDAY
We (family with 2 children) as "repeat offenders" again spent very nice and relaxing vacation days with the Nickel family. After a warm welcome with homemade cake, we immediately felt at home again. The cozy apartment was as always very clean. During this vacation, we were surprised with a new, very well-equipped fitted kitchen and also a new dining area. The well-kept furnishings of all rooms leave nothing to be desired, and there is nothing standing in the way of a restful sleep on the new mattresses. The apartment is very spacious and perfectly suited for 4 people. All parents with young children can look forward to complimentary equipment such as a baby travel cot, high chair, small children's step, toilet seat insert, changing mat, etc. Child-friendly dishes and cutlery have also been provided. Also great for parents is that children can play safely on the lawn in front of the terrace and be supervised comfortably from the beach chair. The location of the holiday home is optimal. Within a few steps, you are both on the beach and on the promenade with many shopping options, restaurants, the "Rasender Roland" stop, etc. The nice landlords were always approachable for us and gave us helpful tips for beautiful bike tours or other activities several times.
We will continue to spend our holidays on Rügen only with the Nickel family, and the next stay is already booked.

Sunny vacation
We, 2 aunts with our niece, spent our vacation for the first time in August 2017 with the Nickel family in their holiday apartment "Sanddornstube". The pictures on their website already gave us a positive first impression, which was fully confirmed upon arrival. A well-equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining area, as well as the bedrooms, offered us plenty of space.
The proximity to the beach was also a very important aspect that motivated us to rent this holiday apartment. In the storage house on the property, we could store our beach equipment, and there was also enough space for bikes.
In summary, we liked it so much that we will come back this year.
