Holiday apartments and houses in Torfhaus

A very clean and well-maintained facility. The house is cozily furnished. Everything you need is available. The stunning wildflower meadow in the garden is particularly noteworthy! The only thing that saddened us during our stay is the surrounding forest in the Harz. The tree die-off is so present, which weighs on the spirit a bit. Our conclusion, we enjoyed a relaxing weekend.

We had booked the Premium Lodge, which was spacious enough for us 2 adults with a teenage daughter and our small dog. The house is very well laid out. Unfortunately, the furniture made of dark wood gives a worn impression. The kitchen equipment is fine. A few cutting boards are missing. There was one made of glass, which also serves as a cover for the countertop. The bathrooms are well equipped. The upper bedrooms are fine, but they give a rather gloomy impression, as the built-in wardrobes and nightstands are also made of dark wood and look just as worn as the lower floor. The terrace is very small. The furniture consists of 2 loungers, a wooden table, and 2 wooden benches. The wood is already very weathered and could use a new coat of paint. We knew that the garden is not fenced, so we specifically brought a leash for our furry friend. Unfortunately, we couldn't use it at all, as the garden consists only of a terrace and there was no possibility for a run. Behind the terrace, the garden goes directly up, you are basically looking at the meadow. Overall, the garden or the terrace gives a rather unkempt impression; it could use a bit of care and maintenance. All in all, we made ourselves comfortable. However, we find the price-performance ratio unjustified. For this reason, we give an average rating.

What a super nice cozy little house. Everything was super tidy, clean, and well-maintained. Beautiful spot, we really enjoyed ourselves. The only downside we found was that you have little privacy when sitting outside by your house. But we would definitely come back.
