I spent our holiday at Villa Stank with my family this summer. I have to say that from the arrival to the departure everything was perfectly organised in a holiday feeling.

About the arrival: We planned to arrive at 4pm but arrived at 6pm for the handover of the keys. Our landlord waited for us casually with sunglasses by the pool and offered us a cold beer from the fridge
The villa is well equipped, all rooms have air-conditioning, pool, jacuzzi - everything your heart desires.

What has to be pointed out is that whenever we needed a question or support we could write to our landlord and he answered within 5 minutes.
Examples of this, we need a taxi, private massage, private chef or delivery service.

At the departure, we also met Mama Stanka, the acceptance of the villa took place without further problems. You can see there is a lot of heart and soul in the villa, we had a great stay and look forward to visiting Villa Stank again next year.

Superb villa, wonderful location with panoramic view: the Adriatic Sea in front, the mountains behind - even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Mladen - very nice host, always available. Proximity to Split is also very advantageous. As a welcome, cold cuts/cheese platter and drinks (beer, juice, coke) in the fridge. Many thanks again for that! Great equipment of the villa and very clean - we felt very, very comfortable and will definitely come again!

How is the weather in Split?

Expect this climate on the Croatian Riviera

In Dalmatia, the climate is influenced by the proximity to the northern Mediterranean. The summers are hot and dry, while the winters are mild with relatively frequent rainfall. In the summer months, expect temperatures above 30°C. Almost all the time, the Maestral wind blows, providing pleasant cooling. This wind only occurs during the day due to thermal activity over the sea and is typical for the Croatian Adriatic. The water in the Mediterranean has ideal temperatures between 20°C and 25°C for bathing at this time. Expect more frequent rain showers in spring, autumn, and winter during your stay in the holiday apartment. Even in winter, temperatures do not drop below freezing. The Bora wind brings relatively cold air masses from the mountains into the valleys during this time. It can also provide quick cooling in the summer. Split is the second-largest city in Dalmatia. It has great significance as a port city and as a religious and cultural center. Its old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located in the southern part of the Split peninsula. The most important building here is the Diocletian's Palace with the Golden Gate. It was built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian in 300 AD. In the palace grounds, you will find an ancient columned courtyard, a vestibule, several gates as access to the city, and a Jupiter temple. A medieval city extension adjoins the Diocletian Palace. Other historical buildings in the old town include the Cathedral of Sveti Duje with its impressive bell tower, the old town hall, the Diocletian aqueduct, and the fortress Gripe. The city has numerous churches and monasteries, which can also be visited from the inside. Outside Split, wonderful landscapes await you on the mainland. Take an excursion to Plitvice Lakes National Park or to Croatian National Park Krka between Knin and Skradin.

Numerous architectural monuments, such as the already mentioned ancient temples and churches, bear witness to its varied history. The Croatian National Theater is based in Split, next to the remains of a Venetian fortress. It performs classical dramas, ballet, and opera. Chamber concerts complete the program. The Hajduk Split football club is housed in the Poljud Stadium. Numerous museums exhibit displays on nature, history, and technology. The Archaeological Museum exhibits finds from excavations throughout Dalmatia. There is a museum of fine arts and several galleries. In the Meštrović Gallery, the 8.3-meter-high statue of Bishop Gregory of Nin (Grgur Ninski) is a sight worth seeing. It is said to bring good luck to stroke the big toe of this statue - that's why it is polished shiny. Check your travel guide for when the folk festivals and parades take place on holy days.
