Holiday flat Villa Michaela

We liked the holiday flat in Villa Michaela very much. Our flat was really beautiful and furnished with attention to detail, nothing was missing. The kitchen was well equipped and even the bathroom had cotton pads, Kleenex and Q-tips, just like in a hotel. There were also more than enough towels and bath towels. The garden was also gorgeous and the flat was very neat and clean. Michaela is a very warm host and welcomed us very nicely. It was an all-round recommendable stay. Many thanks for that dear Michaela!

The area around Calvià and Paguera has a history that dates back thousands of years. Finds from the pre-Christian Talaiot culture suggest habitation since 2,000 BC. The Romans also left their mark in Paguera and Calvià. Popular sights in the area of Paguera include the numerous historical mansions, so-called fincas rusticas, such as in Santa Ponça and Son Roig. Along the coast, you will find some of the medieval watchtowers Atalayas. The name is derived from the Arabic word Atalayi. You can find the Atalayas at Sant Elm, between Camp de Mar and Cala Fornells, in Costa de la Calma and Santa Ponsa. During pirate attacks, fires were lit on the towers. By train to Sóller, by boat to Sa Dragonera

A highlight among the sights is an excursion with the "Red Lightning" from Palma to Sóller. It is a historic train that travels leisurely through the landscape at less than 30 kilometers per hour. The 27-kilometer-long route was completed in 1912. In the 60s and 60s, the train mainly transported oranges and lemons to the island's capital. It goes through 13 tunnels and over bridges to Sóller. The building was built in 1956 according to the plans of the avant-garde architect Josep Lluís Sert i López. The adjoining Finca Son Boter was acquired by Miró as a sculpture workshop and studio. Another tip for art lovers is the Es Baluard Museum. The name is derived from the Catalan word for bulwark. The house also displays contemporary art in changing exhibitions.

Public buses run regularly from the airport to the bus terminal in the city center. From there, it continues to your accommodation in Peguera.
