The home is all on one level, which is wonderful for those of us who do not do stairs well. The house has an excellent location, directly across the street from the beach. There are 4 bedrooms, the one we stayed in had an excellent view of the sea. The mattress in this room was not the most comfortable for me, but my husband was content. There is a full bath, with a jetted tub and a separate shower. Since there were only the two of us, we closed off three of the bedrooms, and only used the full bath for the shower, and used the smaller toilet. The layout of the house would allow people to get away from each other, as the bedrooms are in different areas of the house. The living room is large, with an excellent view of the sea, and a well functioning wood stove and a fairly comfortable sofa. The kitchen is nice and open to the dining area. The entry to the house is uninspiring. There are two patios, one facing the sea, and one between this house and the one behind. They are not entirely closed off, so keeping an active toddler or dog in would not really be possible unless you had something big to block the opening. Nothing is in bad condition, but could use a bit of a refresh. There is some peeling wallpaper, dents and dings in the walls and furniture. All the appliances work well. I was so happy that one did not need an engineering degree to figure out the stove. I would go there again with just the two of us, or with family and use every bedroom. This is not the first time we visited Lild Strand. It will definitely not be the last. Recommendations: There is so much to see in the area. Both Tvisted and Fjerritslev have shops and restaurants, though Tvisted has more variety, as it is a much bigger town. There are aquariums and other kid-friendly activities to be found. There are lots of museums, the bunkers from WWII are prevalent, but you can find many Viking related places as well. And of course the miles and miles of beaches and trails right at your doorstep.

For the second time in this house, now very nicely renovated and well furnished, very cozy. The mattresses... well. In the guest toilet, the window is leaking, everything is underwater during rain; also in the bathroom, the bathtub drains very poorly, as does the sink in the kitchen. Otherwise very nice, especially the location is great. This time I rented both houses, we were there with the whole family, it was great to be there. We are already considering booking again next year. The cleanliness could also be improved in this house. Upon arrival, both houses were not cleaned; at 5 PM, a cleaning crew came, we had to leave, and it was cleaned in 20 minutes... actually a no-go. One more point, high additional costs due to oil heating.

It is a traditional Danish wooden summer house. Those who appreciate the charm of this construction style will feel right at home. Nothing is lacking in terms of amenities. The owners are very dedicated to making the stay extremely pleasant. The location in Lild Strand is exceptionally quiet and relaxing. Recommendations: Everyone individually finds what they are looking for. However, for shopping, one has to drive a bit.
