The holiday home is located in the southern part of Egmond aan Zee and is situated in a quiet residential area. There is a children's playground and a duck pond nearby. From the holiday home you walk about 5 minutes to the sandy beach/lake and the nature reserve, as well as the village centre with shops, cafes and coffee terraces.
Enclosed private terrace with garden furniture.
Bicycles can be brought and parked in our garden. You can also rent bicycles from a rental shop *250 metres away.
Parking is available, you can park your car near the holiday home.
For parking in Egmond aan Zee, a number plate registration system applies.
The parking costs for the south side of Egmond aan Zee, zone C+D, are included in the rent.
Detailed description :
Via the small vestibule with wardrobe you enter the living/dining room, separate kitchen and stairs to the first floor.
To relax you can use the couch set with armchairs, there is also a dining table with chairs. There is also reading material and information about Egmond aan Zee and the surrounding area.
A flat screen TV is available, WIFI / WLAN can be used free of charge!
A separate kitchen is fully equipped. Cooking is done on a gas cooker without oven.
There is also a microwave for those who are more comfortable or for a quick warm-up.
To get the day off to a good start, there is a Senseo and coffee machine.
Of course there is a fridge with freezer compartment, pans, pots, toaster, blender, cutlery and crockery.
A gas boiler provides hot water and central heating.
Upon entering the holiday home, you reach the attic with 2 bedrooms with single beds via a staircase. The two bedrooms are separated by a connecting door and there is a washbasin in the front bedroom.
There are duvets and pillows on all beds. Bed linen and towels are included in the price.

Vacation in Egmond aan Zee
Very nice small holiday home with everything you need for daily needs. Very clean and well-maintained. Mrs. Zwaan and her son-in-law were very nice to us. However, one should not be limited in mobility due to the stairs.

Das ist leider nicht anders in den Ferienhäusern in Egmond aan Zee.
Das Ferienhaus wird von vielen Senioren bei uns gemietet, die alle sehr positiv über das Ferienhaus sind.
Die Treppe bei uns wurde vor einigen Jahren angepasst. Wir haben jetzt eine feste Treppe mit einer kleinen Kurve darin, in vielen Ferienhäusern gibt es auch noch Treppen, die steil nach oben führen und entfernt werden können!

Children are a "problem" for landlords.
Mrs. Blaauboer named my daughter a problem on the second day and said that she would actually not rent to tenants with children. Reason being that it causes problems. When we returned from the beach and city visit to the apartment, we saw the landlord twice standing in front of the window and staring into the apartment. Strange behavior! The second bedroom shows signs of moisture in the area of the window and slanted roof. It smells of urine. Possible leachings from mineral wool insulation in the roof interlayer. Announced overnight visit had to be declined.
Sorry, but I had been looking forward to the vacation for half a year. When we arrived, the first thing Mrs. Blaauboer said was: "So, you come as a pair!" Yes, as you have been aware from inquiries and bookings for several months. 1 adult and a child 8 years old.

Wenn die Gäste gehen, wird das nie gesagt, dann war alles in Ordnung und es war ein schöner Urlaub. Schade, dass man das im Nachhinein immer noch lesen muss.
Auf der Website ist in der Tat angegeben, dass Kinder ab 14 Jahren willkommen sind.
Ein Blick vor das Fenster ist nicht möglich, da es im Ferienhaus Vorhänge vor dem Fenster gibt! Dann habe ich vielleicht von meinem Haus aus in den Garten geschaut. Und Feuchtigkeitsspuren sind bei uns nicht bekannt. Habe ich noch nie von Gästen gehört. Vielleicht ein Fenster öffnen, um etwas frische Luft zu schnappen!

Beautiful little house near the beach

"Man has everything one needs. Everything necessary is available. The vacation house is fully furnished and has a large garden with seating furniture, which we used to store our bicycles. We had no problems with the Wi-Fi, it worked well for us.
Well located, a few minutes walk to the beach or pedestrian zone. Ample parking nearby. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful and live next door.
We enjoyed our stay here."

Etwas enttäuscht
Despite the bad weather, we had a lovely time. Unfortunately, we need to list some points of criticism, which should be seen as suggestions for improvement. Since there were no two separate bedrooms, the accommodation would be suitable mainly for families. The heating in the bedrooms was weak and insufficient for our time there. The stairway to the bedrooms was very narrow and steep. The television only had 3 German channels: ARD, ZDF, and NDR. In summer, this would not bother me. The Wi-Fi was very inadequate. In the house itself, there was actually no access and if so, only for a few minutes. Outdoors towards the main house it improved. The router probably didn't have the capacity to serve the holiday home, despite the booster. A radio would have been advantageous too. The shower was very small and the heating didn't get properly warm. The kitchen and living room equipment was okay. The outdoor area was clean and very spacious, but there was a lack of privacy from the main house. Here, a separation area could have been set up, as the neighboring houses have done. There would have been enough space for both parties. The complimentary provision of bed linen, towels, and parking costs was really positive. The proximity to the beach and city center was also great.
I would recommend the house if the criticisms are taken seriously and the suggestions are implemented.

In Egmond aan Zee werden die Ferienhäuser einfach so gebaut. Vielleicht wäre es sinnvoller, um zu sehen, was Sie mieten oder vielleicht das nächste Mal eine Wohnung zu mieten, mit mehr Umsatz, mehr Ausstattung, aber teurer im Preis.
Zum Glück denken andere Gäste anders.

Great vacation - great holiday cottage
Beautiful little house with good amenities and a lovely fenced garden where you can enjoy the sun. The location is excellent, close to the dunes and beach, and the city center is also quickly accessible on foot. The steep staircase is not so bad. It has been replaced by a solid staircase with a bend, and young children should not be left alone on stairs! The landlady is very nice and helpful. We will come back!!
