Come to us and feel at home, enjoy the beautiful nature in the Sauerland / Rothaargebirge Nature Park, Oberhundem, one of the "pearls of the southern Sauerland" on the Rothaarsteig, with pretty half-timbered houses and the Adolfsburg. Hiking / walking in the forest, enjoying the sun, winter sports, taking time for reading and playing together ... The view from our balcony already makes you feel like you're in the middle of the forest.
In the village itself there is a bakery, inns, embroidery museum, swimming pool - "wellness oasis" with sauna, physiotherapy and the Haus des Gastes with spa park - Kneipp and mini golf course.
Our house with separate living and sleeping floor (OG) - ground floor with living room, dining area, kitchen, veranda, bathroom with shower and washing machine as well as hallway, OG with 5 single beds and a double bed - is equipped with plenty of crockery / cutlery, books and games not only for children as well as TV / SAT / DVD, radio / CD player (without widescreen, wifi) and microwave so ideally suited for a relaxing holiday with children, but also for adults who want to relax away from the stress of everyday life.
Active recreation, relaxation, nature experience and tranquility - when hiking or walking in the forest, wonderful on the many marked trails, each season has its own charm. Sprouting, even exploding nature in spring, enjoying the sun while walking or chilling on a blanket, picking berries and mushrooms, leaves in dazzling colours, to snow in winter - on average the temperature decreases by 0.6 degrees Celsius per 100 metres, so that at 420 - 760 metres above sea level you can enjoy winter sports with a bit of luck - cross-country skiing at altitude or using the long toboggan run or the ski lift in Oberhundem.

Location and surroundings of object
Our house is one of the roof-only houses, which are located in the holiday village a bit away from the actual village Oberhundem in the Hochsauerland at the foot of the mountain with the Rhine-Weser-(view)tower. It is only a few hundred meters to the forest, about 1 km to Oberhundem to the bakery, swimming pool, restaurants, etc. and 10.5 km to the center of Lennestadt with various shops in the pedestrian zone, cinema, train station Altenhundem, etc..

The house key can be picked up at the tourist office Oberhundem, within its opening hours, otherwise by arrangement, at the local bakery or Gasthof zur Linde
Rules:
We expect you to treat our property with care, just as you would your own (eigtl. of course, but unfortunately not for everyone); smoking and pets are not allowed in our house. Also towards the cleaning staff, which takes over for only 25 € (included in the price), it is fair if the house is not left very dirty - you are welcome to use the vacuum cleaner under the stairs yourself. Otherwise, we wish that you find in our house just as good rest as we ourselves, even if you should have less luck with the weather - Remember "There is no bad weather, only wrong clothes" ;-) or you enjoy the time in the house with book, game, etc.. ().

Cosy older cottage at a small price
The house and its appliances are a bit outdated, but very well equipped (washing machine and dishwasher, among others). It would be recommended without reservation if it were less noisy. You can hear every word spoken at room volume in every part of the house. Every time you turn over in bed, it makes noise. The upper floor has two passage rooms. But if you only need 4 of the 7!!! (of which only the double bed is suitable for people > 1.80 m), this is no problem and you can sleep in the two rooms at the head of the house. The stairs in the house are very steep, but with good planning they only have to be used twice a day (in the morning and in the evening). There is a toilet only on the ground floor and not on the sleeping level.
The location is really extraordinarily good, right next to the panorama park. From the house, many excursion destinations can be reached by car within 30 to 45 minutes
We enjoyed our stay with 2 children very much and will come again.

Unser fast direkt am Wald gelegenes Familienferienhaus lädt ein, den urbanen Alltagstress hinter sich zu lassen und die Natur zu genießen. Familien mit Kindern sind uns besonders willkommen.
Wie man Text und Fotos entnehmen kann, ist unser Haus in die Umgebung passend eher rustikal eingerichtet. Party- und Sylt-Urlauber, die eine schwarz-weiß-graue Möblierung für unerlässlich halten, sind nicht unser Klientel.
Die Aufteilung des Hauses ist so, dass das Obergeschoss eine reine Schlafetage und das Erdgeschoss für den Aufenthalt ist. Dort finden sich auch zahlreiche Bücher und Spiele, wenn man im Haus bleiben möchte, und ein Fernseher mit Sat-Empfang, der, wen er nicht gerade brüllt, nicht den Schlaf im Obergeschoss stört, auch wenn das Haus etwas hellhörig ist. Die Betten sind alle für meine Größe (1m90) geeignet.
Bäcker, Imbiss, Schwimmbad ... im Ort, weiteres Einkaufen in den Nachbarorten. Für Kinder ist der Clou aber der zu Fuß (oder per Auto ein Stück den Berg hoch) erreichbare Panorama Park. Neben den Wildtieren viel Spiel- und Fahrgerät - auch hier ohne den Anspruch am neuesten, schnellsten, weitesten ... in Ruhe und Bewährtem liegt die Kraft.
