Description
The house was built in 1989 on a plot of almost 1000 m². It offers space for 4 - 5 people.
The ground floor is bricked, the ground floor is a wooden house
The floor space is 108 m², of which the living space is about 90 m².
On the upper floor there is a bedroom with a double bed and TV, a living room with a wood-burning stove and a flat-screen TV (80 cm), a fully equipped fitted kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, a shower room with WC and a large balcony.
The basement offers a second, very large bedroom with double bed, single bed, and another sitting area as a retreat. There is also a TV and DVD. Also on the ground floor is a shower room with WC, washing machine, tumble dryer. There is also a spacious terrace for barbecuing and relaxing.
There is a sledge, board games, Lego and books for our young guests.
For the little ones we have a travel cot and a high chair.
The house has gas central heating.
Furthermore, W-LAN is available free of charge in the entire house.

Location and surroundings of object
The former mountain town of Lautenthal lies in the Upper Harz in an enchanting valley surrounded by forests, not far from the Innerstetalsperre. Like a mountain hut, our house is situated high on the Schulberg, with a view over the town and the valley.
All Harz excursion destinations are within easy reach, whether you want to experience culture, the imperial palace or the historic old town in Goslar, go skiing and tobogganing or take a steam train ride up the Brocken, visit stalactite caves or the Devil's Wall, the Harz Mountains offer something for everyone. Lautenthal itself is ideal for extended hiking tours, cycling trips or simply relaxing and 'unwinding'. The mining museum is definitely worth a visit.

Hiking in nature
We were three with our teenage daughter and dog on-site for a week.
The wine and freshly pressed apple juice, as well as dog treats, gave us a friendly welcome upon entering the house.
Towels, bedtime snacks, as well as firewood and fire starters were also available, as well as plenty of hangers and a well-equipped kitchen (only sharp kitchen knives were not available, but we always bring those ourselves). As a special delight, we appreciated the pound of ground coffee that was available alongside various types of tea. The fireplace was a wonderful thing on the cool evenings (in March, the nights were still quite cool at times). The interior feels rustic and cozy on the first floor due to the wood paneling and thick beams, and we liked it very much. In the basement, our daughter had her own realm, where she could also retreat at times. Due to the relatively high location of the house, we had a great view over Lauthental and the surrounding mountains. About 50m from the house, a hiking trail begins, which then leads to various branches and hiking routes. Our daughter is not really into longer walks, but within 10 minutes she was totally thrilled by the beautiful landscape, the many small streams, and the stunning views, and even after a 5 1/2 hour tour of 13. 5km do not regret going hiking with their parents.
After our return from vacation, we wanted to book for the autumn holiday right away, but unfortunately, the house was already rented.
We were definitely thrilled all around and will certainly come back again.

we were there with 2 grandchildren (4 & 15 years) and a dog. We all felt very comfortable right away. The rooms are nice and big and no one felt cramped. There were also toys for the little ones and games for the evening. The equipment left nothing to be desired, everything was there from A-Z.
As we had snow, our children could slide down the small hill behind the house and have fun in the snow. Not far from the shops - about 10 minutes. And there is a real butcher (delicious).
the driveway to the house is a bit narrow, but it worked the second time.
PS. Maybe as a hint, when there is a lot of snow, put a sign with Ferienhaus Eden on the garden fence, as you can only see the roof, you can drive past quickly.
Otherwise always happy to come back. ---- Very nice landlords ---

Dream autumn holiday
You open the door and immediately feel at home! The whole house is immaculately clean and everything is very well maintained
In the evening, you can end your day of hiking on the cosy sofa by the open fire.

A rustic, cosy house to feel at home in, which is equipped with many remarkable extras and is obviously run with a lot of heart and soul. Uncomplicated, quick and very nice communication with the landlady completes this top offer!

A great house!!!!!
We spent 14 great days here with our 2 grandchildren. There were absolutely no wishes left unfulfilled, and both the "old" and the "young" (in years) felt very comfortable here. Everything you need is really there, dishes, pans, pots, etc. Super well-equipped and with wonderful beds in which everyone slept very well. We would like to mention the extremely nice welcome by Mrs. Wedde in particular. One really felt warmly welcomed in their "kingdom," but unobtrusively. Thanks again, and if it works out, we will definitely come back!
