Description
The story of Villa Storia and Smolići village is truly an old Istrian fairy tale that begins on a narrow forest path, a dead-end street that leads to the small, ancient village. With only seven stone houses lined up one next to another, stand like witnesses of past times - the times hidden behind the walls, cellars and attics, still well preserved from oblivion. All that a rural region can provide is located in one place - here in Smolići - vineyards and olive groves, old stone houses, stone walls of gray stone, pine wood… Further view extends toward the old town of Labin, on the hill and surrounded by green hillsides that overlook the sea. On the other side there is an open sea view to the Kvarner islands of Cres and Losinj.
The house itself has 185m2. Ground floor has two bedrooms and one bathroom, while on the upper floor there is another bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a living room with a kitchen and a toilet. The whole top floor is covered in hardwood parquet, giving the whole area of additional warmth and even stronger connection with nature that surrounds the house. Every guest will be pleasantly surprised finding a relax room and Finnish sauna, which are also inside the villa. A romantic soul will enjoy almost unreal canopy with dining area, surrounded by curtains that only partially separates this space from the same fairy-tale magic exterior, a garden with a swimming pool, sun deck and a fireplace.
This is a place where you can literally hear the silence, interrupted only by the chirping of birds. Almost surreal, given that you are only half a mile from the lively town of Labin and a little more than a mile from the summer crowds of the tourist resort Rabac. A feast for the eyes and ears for the ones that need a good rest - and many others that prefer similar kind of relaxation.

Location and surroundings of object
Villa Storia is not far from old town Labin and Rabac. Both towns provide you with all you need for a great vacation. Churches, museum, library, banks, gas stations, doctors, shops and bars you can find in Labin. Rabac on the other hand is your go to location if you want to spend your time on the beach, enjoy different water sports activities or simply take a stroll near the sea. There is a little bit of something for everyone.

We can only recommend the house and the landlady. It was beautifully quiet, very well and lovingly equipped. Every question was answered immediately and we received help with renting the boat, food suggestions...

A beautiful and very well-maintained villa, surrounded by nature yet close to the center. Shopping opportunities, restaurants/bars, and the sea can be reached in a 5-minute drive. We have spent a wonderful week here. We will definitely come back.
