**A house that lives outdoors**
The house itself has a special character: old masonry, a winding floor plan. Elements of the old walls, which had become a ruin, were reinterpreted and combined by my father as architect and craftsman—in a construction style that cannot be repeated. The house gets its name from the historic well beside which it stands – nestled among fig trees, at the end of the “Carrer del Pou”, Catalan for “way to the well”.
Overgrown natural stone walls, many beautiful corners and nooks: What makes this house special is its courtyard – an outdoor living room with a fireplace and barbecue area. Here you spend time, eat, sit, read. A staircase leads from here up to the terrace on the upper floor – with a view of the village and lots of greenery all around. In late summer you can pick figs from the terrace.
The eat-in kitchen is pleasantly cool in summer, large enough for evenings together. In the courtyard right next to it is the fireplace with chimney, where you can grill and simply sit by the fire and watch the flames. The kitchen is well equipped: gas stove with electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator with freezer compartment, all sorts of useful little things and various coffee-making options. . . And if the kitchen knives aren't sharp enough, I'll take care of it right away ;)
**What is possible**
From here you can explore the Languedoc-Roussillon: wineries, weekly markets, typical French villages. It's 29 km to the sea – passing places that already make the drive worthwhile. In about 30 minutes you are in Spain; Barcelona or Girona are easily reachable for a day trip.
The shared garden with its large fig tree invites you to barbecue, play, or simply relax. It is also a place to meet the neighbors from the three other holiday homes. Whether children, teenagers, or adults – many friendships have already been made here. In summer I also like to invite you for an aperitif here, and often we barbecue together afterwards. If desired, I am happy to organize a barbecue or pizza evening.
There is a playground in the village, and right next to it, both young and old can have fun playing table tennis, basketball, or pétanque (boules).
Whether as a family, couple, or group of friends – space for six people, each with their own retreat. In a small, authentic village with lots of greenery, surrounded by nature – between cork oak forests, vineyards, and the garrigue. I live in the village myself and am always available for you and happy to give you some tips for excursions, walks, and restaurants.

“South of Fourques, the tiny D 23 branches off to the right
and leads to little Tordères, whose surroundings
for me are among the most beautiful corners of the Aspres.”
Quote from the travel guide “Roussillon” by André Dominé
Tordères is a small, picturesque village in the south of France with only 180 inhabitants. Nestled between vineyards and cork oak forests in the gentle hills of the Aspres. From here, the view opens out over the plain to the Mediterranean and the peaks of the Pyrenees – a landscape where sea and mountains meet in close proximity. The village lies away from any through road, without mass tourism, and this is precisely its charm: those seeking peace and authenticity will find here a genuine piece of Roussillon.
Torderes is an ideal starting point for a variety of activities. At a distance of about 29 kilometers, you reach the beaches of the Mediterranean with a selection of wide sandy beaches and small rocky coves; two swimming lakes are 13 and 15 km away respectively and are strategically located so that you can take another dip in the water on your way back from an excursion. Families with children benefit from the combination of peaceful village life, safe play areas, and a wide selection of destinations for day trips – from the beach and lakes to culturally interesting cities, castles, monasteries, and museums.
Hikers and walkers set off directly from the house on tours through vineyards, forests, and hills, while cyclists and mountain bikers appreciate the small, little-traveled roads and paths. If you prefer more liveliness, you can reach Perpignan, the nearest larger city with markets, culture, and southern French flair, in just over 30 minutes, or the Spanish border after a short drive.
In the village there are sheep and goats, and on a short walk you can buy eggs and olive oil from a small farm. On Saturdays there is market day in the towns of Ceret and Thuir; the market in the medieval town of Ceret is especially worthwhile. There are also many opportunities in the area to buy fruit and vegetables directly from the producer.
Despite the quiet location, supplies are uncomplicated: In the neighboring village, only about 3 kilometers away, you will find the first shopping facilities, the nearest supermarket is about 9 kilometers away.

Too, too good!!
We have already been to Florian's several times and it is always with as much pleasure! The house is full of charm, very clean, and decorated with great taste!! In addition to being spotless, the house is comfortable and functional. Moreover, the welcome from Florian is really great!! He responds positively to every request and willingly adapts to the tenants. Another important thing: dogs are welcome and can stay in the yard without the risk of escaping. We really recommend the vacation rental in its different houses.
