Description

Our farm is located in a secluded spot 400 m from the edge of the village, in a lake- and forest-rich, gently hilly landscape.

We offer you two exceptional (non-smoking) holiday apartments in a former pig and horse stable for up to 4 and 6 (adult) persons, which have been furnished in a particularly unusual and harmoniously colored style.
Here are the description and pictures of the pigsty. You will also find the horse stable here with us.
Enjoy your breakfast or the sunset on the outdoor terrace with a wonderful view of the countryside, with a fire pit and barbecue area.
The apartments are quietly located away from the rest of the farm activities, on the edge of the orchard.

On our farm live pigs, sheep, a donkey, horses, and ponies. Geese, chickens, and rabbits roam the farm and meadows. A dog and numerous cuddly cats are also present. Depending on the pasture, the animals may be right outside your kitchen or bedroom window, or watch you while you have breakfast or barbecue on the outdoor terrace. Even if the livestock are not directly next to the apartments, they are always within sight.
Of course, there is the opportunity to feed and pet the "small" animals, including the free-roaming rabbits. But you can also help feed the "big" ones, or, if you are brave, feed a cow by hand. Feeding pigs and petting these bristly creatures is also possible at any time. The sheep are always happy for any change from the green grass in the form of bread or carrots.

For children, the apartment offers a crib, high chair, and children's dishes, a step stool for the sink, a toilet seat attachment, and socket covers are available. There is also a changing table for babies. In the garden, there is a swing, a stilt house, and a giant trampoline. Children’s bicycles, scooters, and handcarts are available.
For adults, there is a sauna in the orchard.

The apartment has no television. Experience the animals and nature and enjoy everything live with all your senses.

Our farm is located near the town of Lychen, which is surrounded by seven lakes, in the "Uckermärkische Seen Nature Park". The region is conceptually developing in so-called "soft tourism"

On the extensive network of cycling and hiking trails you have the opportunity to experience the very high wildlife population in the entire region
Take advantage of the beautiful surroundings for (water) hikes, cycling tours and walks and to go swimming. There is an extensive network of cycling and water trails with long-distance connections to Berlin and the Baltic Sea coast, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the Polish border.

The region offers numerous tourist attractions, the town and spa of Templin, Boitzenburg Castle, the Himmelpfort Christmas post office, the operetta festival in Neustrelitz.
It is only 59 minutes by train to Berlin Hbf from the neighbouring town of Fürstenberg.

The holiday flat costs (depending on the season: low, middle, high season) 99,- to 149,- €/day. The cleaning fee is 52,- €. The town of Lychen charges a visitor's tax of 1,- to 1,50 €/day for guests over 18 years of age, depending on the season.

Cancellation terms:

Free cancellation possible up to 28 days before the arrival date.

Here is the translation to English: Cancellation of the rental agreement is possible free of charge up to 4 weeks before the start of the rental period. Many animals, top apartment

We were on site with two small children. The apartment is very well equipped (even a changing table). The kitchen is set up for good food even on vacation, right down to the garlic press. Nice dishes, glasses, all in sufficient quantity, and super sharp knives, some better than at home. No expenses were spared here. We had unlimited contact with the animals with the children. Exception: chickens, ducks, geese due to the current avian flu. But the many pet cats, rabbits, as well as the pigs, sheep, donkeys, and horses have more than made up for it. The location is absolutely quiet. We can only recommend the farm and will come back in the summer.

Simple beautiful....

We have been to the Georgenhöhe farm several times. It is always wonderful. Rainer and Yvonne are very nice hosts. We feel very comfortable there, there is always something new to discover. I can't describe it that well, you just have to experience it.

great accommodation

We had a super great holiday week in Schweinetall with our children. Everything was just perfect: the accommodation, the ambiance, the hosts, the animals, and the surroundings. It's a dream for children to have such close contact with the animals. The pigs were fed, the geese were led to the barn, the cats and rabbits were petted, and horseback riding was enjoyed. We spent an absolutely relaxing and refreshing holiday week in Schweinetall and would love to come back.

Time to relax

This was the third time we had the pleasure of spending our October holidays in the pigsty. We and above all our children (8 and 10 years old) enjoyed it very much. The holiday flat is not only convincing because of the super equipment, but especially because of the cosiness.
We were able to really relax during these 5 days and leave the stress of the big city behind us. Special highlights this time were the rainy hike around the Wurlsee and the walk with horse and dog.

Childhood dream

Simply great!

We are still totally thrilled and love to talk about the relaxed time. For several years, we have visited different farms and could now experience how fantastic such a holiday can be. A small oasis has been created with great attention to detail. The holiday apartment "Schweinstall" is very extraordinary and lacks nothing. The children loved the direct contact with the many animals as well as collecting eggs from the nests. The special highlight for the kids was the lookout tower and the large trampoline. The hosts are super nice and take a lot of time for both the young and older guests.

A paradise on earth

The Hof Georgenhöhe is quietly and idyllically located on a hill amidst fields. The holiday apartment in the pigsty is cozy, quaint, and perfectly equipped. Thanks to the many petting animals on the farm, numerous excursion options, many bathing spots, and great hiking trails in the area, there is a lot of variety. We have recovered wonderfully and felt very comfortable. Even our children did not miss the television for a moment. Thank you to Rainer and Yvonne for the perfect vacation! We will gladly come back.

Worth a trip...

For the third time, we have spent our holidays on the farm of Yvonne and Rainer, and as always, it was worth the trip. The pigsty is well equipped, lacking nothing. The farm invites you to linger for hours, where animals can be fed and petted or you can jump on the trampoline. For those interested, you can also chop your own wood for the fireplace or collect fresh eggs in the chicken coop for the next breakfast. It is also very worthwhile to explore the surroundings. The nature is beautiful. Around a very nice vacation. Thank you very much for your hospitality. We will gladly come back.

A very special place !!!

A heartfelt thank you from all of us to Rainer and Yvonne! We enjoyed our time with you very much. The Pigsty is so lovingly decorated and equipped with everything you need. The view of the countryside is simply breathtakingly beautiful. The very relaxed atmosphere made us feel really good, as did your sensitive, patient, and uncomplicated interaction with our children. In all the interesting activities (e.g. While collecting eggs in the henhouse, while driving the wheelbarrow, visiting animals, feeding Otto and Willi, and so on, you, Rainer, included our 4-year-old (the baby was still too young) and answered his questions. We will gladly come again!

The yellow of the egg...

In March, we were in the pigsty and it was a great, first farm stay. It was a joy to see how our son overcame his shyness and wanted to touch and pet (almost) all the animals in the end. Even fetching eggs from the chicken coop several times a day was a huge pleasure! The pigsty was really cozy, the great view makes you enjoy cooking dinner and even in the rain, we had plenty to do! You welcomed us very nicely and everything went its natural course, very uncomplicated. We will definitely come back! Thank you.

Repeat offender

We have already been here twice, once in the pigsty and once in the horse stable. And we will definitely be back. Pure relaxation (except for the wood chopping, but that's part of it if you want to be warm in winter and what must be must be ;) ). The children love the many animals, we love the relaxation because the flats are child-friendly and the children have so much freedom (if the partially open staircase doesn't bother you) and don't have to be constantly supervised because there are knick-knacks everywhere.

The hosts are super nice and help quickly and easily with almost any problem.

Perfect farm holiday

After spending our holidays on various farms in Brandenburg, we discovered the beautiful Georgengenhöhe farm for ourselves in 2014. Even though we usually never holiday in the same place and like to try new things, we are drawn back here every year - we simply cannot imagine a more beautiful place for a farm holiday. We have already stayed in both holiday flats (pigsty and horse stable) and can only say: both are unique, very cosy and lack nothing. The highlight is of course the respective fenced terrace, which borders directly on the meadow with a view of the field - here you can enjoy the peace and quiet while the children are exploring the farm. If you are lucky, the animals graze right on the meadow behind the flats, so that you are greeted in the morning by the horse and donkey, who curiously stick their heads over the fence. The animals have grown close to our hearts from the very first visit, whether it's Susi the pony, Pinocchio the donkey or Apple the sheep - everyone has their favourite :).
Hof Georgenhöhe is a fantastically idyllic place where you immediately forget the stress of everyday life and can relax wonderfully... Thank you Yvonne and Rainer for creating such a great place!
