Great holiday home by the lake

The modern "Blue House" leaves nothing to be desired. A fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living/dining area, a comfortable bedroom, a cozy bathroom with a rainforest shower, and a huge terrace invite you to spend a wonderful vacation. The house is designed for 2 people, but can easily accommodate an additional 8 guests.
(without overnight stay)
The location directly at the Templiner City Lake is dreamlike. A private bathing area is reachable in just a few meters from the terrace. Despite the quiet location in the forest and by the lake, the old town of Templin can be reached within a few minutes by bike or on foot. In Templin, you will also find at least 2 excellently developed long-distance bike paths that invite extensive cycling tours. Bicycles are not available in the holiday home, but there is a storage option. Either you bring your own bikes or contact a bike rental in Templin.
The "Blue House" is a holiday home for feeling good and slowing down. On one hand, there is peace in the Uckermark landscape, on the other hand, there are also various leisure activities in the immediate vicinity.

Super beautiful apartment quiet location

I spent 14 beautiful days in Templin. Upon arriving in the apartment, one immediately feels very comfortable, almost like at home. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-furnished, not exaggerated as described; everything could be quickly and easily reached on foot. The apartment is located on a quiet side street. The door had once closed on me, and the key was stuck inside. After a very friendly phone conversation with Ms. Piepgras, a solution to the problem was offered quickly and easily. Thank you once again for that.
I can only warmly recommend this apartment.

Sweet garden house in nature

Thank you for the warm welcome! We spent a very relaxing week as a couple in the holiday cottage of the Lessow family. Everything you need is accommodated in a small space. The living room is quite large, and there is an open and a covered terrace with garden furniture. The garden is huge, not easily visible, quiet, and also equipped with loungers and a grill. We just had to let them know and were allowed to spend a whole day on the water with the landlords' paddle boat. Those who want to spend a quiet vacation by the water are well taken care of here. And: bicycle paradise! ?

Templin captivates with a series of historic buildings. The town is encircled by a well-preserved city wall that stretches almost two kilometers long. It is up to seven meters high and is considered the best-preserved medieval fortification in northern Germany. Along it are about 50 so-called Wiekhäuser, originally integrated into the city wall for defense purposes. Among the many historic city gates, the Berlin Gate, the Prenzlau Gate, and the Mill Gate are particularly noteworthy. These gates date back to the 13th and 14th centuries and are distinguished by their tower-like structures and ornate gables. The Owl Tower was Templin's prison for a long time. It is accessible only through a single entrance at a great height. Among the churches in the town, the Baroque St. Mary Magdalene Church from the 18th century and the Gothic St. George's Chapel are notable. Additionally, among the modern buildings, there is a well-known attraction: the Seehotel Templin. It was built as the "Friedrich Engels" recuperation home in 1984 using GDR panel construction and is the largest hotel in Brandenburg. In 2016, the facade was redesigned by Leipzig Pop Art artist Michael Fischer-Art as the largest facade artwork in Europe.

For a faster and more thrilling experience, visit the Kart Track, considered the most beautiful outdoor kart track in Germany. Opening hours can be found on the website. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace than on the kart track can find accommodations in the countryside. The nature in the Schorfheide-Chorin forest landscape offers miles of hiking opportunities and plenty of space for your four-legged family members—ideal for a vacation with dogs. The area has been designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2011. Otters and beavers, swamp turtles, sea, fish, and screaming eagles, as well as cranes, live in the reserve.

Regular exhibitions are held in the gallery in the New Town Hall, where works by artists are frequently purchased for the collection by the Art Association. Or become an artist yourself: The Templin Art School offers numerous courses in different artistic disciplines. Just outside the city is the former knight's estate "Kulturgut Metzelthin", which is the professional venue of the Uckermark National Theater.
