Our 180m² romantic holiday home "Hirtenstall" is located on an approx. 3,000m² park-like property. The lovingly furnished thatched house has been completely renovated in recent years and is located directly behind the summer dyke. It couldn't be more romantic and idyllic
It is the ideal holiday home for 2 families or 1 large family, as it has 4 bedrooms + 2 children's beds, 2 kitchens, as well as 2 bathrooms and 1 guest toilet.
In total, there are 8 beds + 2 children's beds available.
The holiday home is equipped to a high standard and therefore meets high demands
On the ground floor on approx. 100 m², there is 1 living room (incl. TV set), 2 bedrooms (double beds), 1 full bathroom, 1 guest toilet, 1 kitchen with all comforts and 1 dining area. Here you will also find a bar counter where you can comfortably end the evening by the fireplace.
The upper floor can be reached via a staircase. On approx. 80 m² you will find the spacious studio with living (incl. TV set) and dining area, 1 kitchen also with all comforts, 2 bedrooms (double beds), 1 shower room, as well as a storage room
In both fully equipped kitchens you will find: cooker, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine.
2 TVs, 2 stereo systems, 2 cots and 2 high chairs are available
A washing machine is available for you to use free of charge.
If you do not want to bring your own bed linen and towels, you can rent this "linen equipment" on site for a fee.
There are no further costs for heating, electricity and water.
There is a separate house entrance for the residents of the upper living area (you can use it, but you don't have to), so that the users of the ground floor are not disturbed.
The park-like property is particularly popular with our guests; here you can simply lie down in the grass and dream. In between, you can also play badminton, frisbee or football. Playgrounds and a barbecue are also available, as is a children's swing.
Two terraces, including beach chairs, sufficient garden furniture, as well as the existing playground equipment, are ideal for "young and old" to linger and relax
In addition, the winter garden in the adjacent wooden house is at your disposal
2 parking spaces are located directly in front of the house
In just a few minutes you can reach the centre of Büsum by car or bicycle or the beautiful Perle Bay of Büsum
In only five minutes you can walk to the North Sea beach (no visitor's tax). Here you have the possibility to swim or go into the mudflats.
For the children there is a playground with playground equipment, a table tennis table and a football pitch
Recently, free beach chairs have also been set up here, inviting you to take a short break sheltered from the wind and sun.
There is no visitor's tax in Hedwigenkoog and the bathing area in Hedwigenkoog is also free of charge.
You will love this holiday home!

additional information:
Please note that our holiday home is an original thatched house from 1824. Back then, people were a little smaller. This means that the ceilings and doorways on the ground floor are a little lower than they are nowadays. Therefore, for somewhat taller people, this means "keeping your head down" when going from one room to another. But this is also part of the charm of a romantic thatched house :-).
Already booked for the desired date? Or too big?
Then take a look at our holiday home "An der Nordsee" in Wesselburenerkoog (No. 40781). You may still find your preferred date here!

Great vacation!!!
We spent our vacation with eight people, including three children (4, 8, and 11 years old), in this beautiful holiday home. The house was perfect for us and matched our expectations exactly: It is cosily furnished and excellently equipped. Especially the kitchens leave nothing to be desired!
Both the house itself and the entire property are very well maintained and clean. Our children immediately took possession of the large, beautiful garden with enthusiasm. A joint barbecue evening was, of course, a must. The location is ideal – the mudflats are quickly reachable from the holiday home, and there is also a great playground with an adjacent soccer field.
The pleasant atmosphere in the house ensured that we felt comfortable right away. The contact with our hosts was always warm and uncomplicated. We agree: We would love to come back! It was an eventful vacation in a spacious and beautiful accommodation.

Rest and relaxation
We spent a week in the holiday house and are very well rested. There was enough space in the house and garden for two families. When looking out of the kitchen window, we were greeted by sheep. After a short walk, you reach the natural beach. While the children can play soccer, as an adult you can take a seat on the benches on the dike and enjoy the sunset. Trips to Büsum and SPO are easily and quickly accessible by car. We liked it very much. The contact with the landlord was excellent and short-term adjustments were possible without any problems.

Cozy holiday home with a large garden
We visited the vacation house with three generations. Grandma, grandpa, parents, and two children (12 and 5 years old) with two dogs. The house is very cozy and partly rustic furnished. Due to the two kitchens on the upper and lower floor, it was possible to stay a bit separate in the house. The house is very well-kept and clean. In addition, there is a large and very beautiful garden. Our children, especially the little one, quickly found connection with children in the nearby area. Not far from the vacation house, there is a bathing area (free of charge) that is small but nice. From Hedwigenkoog, you can go on very nice excursions to Büsum, Husum, St. Peter Ording, etc.
We all felt very comfortable in the house and will definitely come back soon. We had a super nice vacation.

Super great holiday home
We arrived with 7 adults and one child and were completely thrilled. The two floors offered enough space and retreat for everyone. The individual rooms are very tastefully and harmoniously furnished, with a lot of attention to detail. The whole house conveys the typical style associated with thatched roof houses. On the ground floor, there are many original details (doors with latches and windows with hatches). The rooms are very low, our men got a bump here and there :), then they knew the corners. The equipment left nothing to be desired, the kitchen extensively equipped with parts we did not expect. The equipment also appears high-quality, well-maintained, and not worn out.
The house is about a 10-minute walk from the North Sea, in a small district. Unfortunately, the available bicycles in the adjacent shed were not used due to the weather, but in summer they are certainly very useful for getting from A to B. The house is generally somewhat secluded. The contact with the landlord and the caretaker was super nice and friendly. Truly recommendable.
We would have liked to stay longer and will definitely come back someday.
