Description
The Nordwind holiday home was built in 2016 and is comfortably equipped with two bedrooms and a spacious living and dining area. Here you can sit together at the large dining table or enjoy the evenings on the cosy seating area by the fireplace. The adjacent open kitchen invites you to cook together and is equipped with an induction hob, oven, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and dishwasher
The bathroom has a double washbasin, a ground-level shower and a Finnish sauna
Both bedrooms are equipped with a double bed, wardrobe and TV
The entire house has underfloor heating.
On warm summer nights, you can enjoy the time in your own garden on the large terrace.

Location and surroundings of object
Haus Nordwind is located in the north-east of the island of Rügen on the Wittow peninsula in Lancken, a district of Dranske. Rügen is one of the sunniest places in Germany
The former fishing village of Dranske lies between the Wieker Bodden and the Baltic Sea.
The natural beach and the cliffs are about 800 metres away and easy to reach on foot. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet while walking along the beach or swimming.
The well-known landmark of Rügen, Cape Arkona, is 12 kilometres away and can be reached by car but also by bicycle or inline skates via asphalted and well-built side roads.
The famous sandy beach of Rügen, the Schaabe, is 10 kilometres away and worth a visit at any time of the year. The fine sandy beach stretches over 8 kilometres and offers enough space for a bathing holiday and long beach walks.
Shopping facilities are available in the village of Dranske, 3 kilometres away
In the village of Kuhle, two kilometres away, you will find the oldest existing restaurant on Rügen, the Schifferkrug
Rügen is also worth a trip for nature lovers. From late summer onwards, the migration of the cranes can be observed. The breeding pairs and their young gather here and fly on to their winter quarters.
Other sights on Rügen besides Cape Arkona are the chalk cliffs, Granitz hunting lodge, KdF baths in Prora and not forgetting the annual Störtebecker Festival on the open-air stage in Ralswiek.

Simply great !!
100% recommendation for this excellent holiday home.
The facilities leave nothing to be desired: large kitchen area invites you to cook together, living area for cozy evenings in front of the fireplace, bedrooms with very comfortable beds, sauna for relaxing after extensive walks on the beach, ample storage space, utility room with washing machine and drying facilities.
The quiet location is also a plus point, you can quickly reach the island's sights by car.
Communication with the Schmidt family was always exemplary. The four of us had an unforgettable week. Thank you very much!

It was very beautiful
We holidayed here in June 2022.
We are having a very difficult time as we actually wanted to holiday here together with our daughter. Unfortunately, she decided to leave this world three weeks before the trip
In our mourning for her, we were able to switch off here very well. The flat offers a lot of space (in comparison, at home we live in a 30 sqm flat), everything is furnished very lovingly and to a high standard. At the beginning of June it was sometimes a bit chilly in the evenings, so we were very happy about the sauna. The surrounding area is also very beautiful, everything can be reached relatively quickly by car, a paradise for cyclists. We can only recommend the accommodation and will definitely come here again sometime.

What should go in here?
Great interior, but it would have been enhanced by a hallway wardrobe with a mirror and a bench in front of the door. The washing machine is very helpful, but there are very few clothespins. But those are just minor details.

Summer vacation
The holiday home is very well equipped. We especially liked the location away from the tourist hotspots. The natural beach, not far from the house, is very easy to reach. The nature is simply fantastic!
