Description

In absolutely quiet and green surroundings, park your car right next to the holiday home. The house is located in the backyard of the host. In front of the house is a large seating area with table and chairs. When you enter the house, you go directly into the fully equipped kitchen. From the kitchen you reach 1 bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and armchair. The windows can be darkened. From the kitchen you also reach the shower room with WC and the living room with sofa, armchair, LED SAT-TV, games, books and radio. From the living room you reach the 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds and wardrobe. WLAN is available.

In the large fruit and vegetable garden behind the house is another covered seating area with chairs, Hollywood swing and table. From here you have a great view of the greenery. In the garden you can pick your own fruit and vegetables, depending on the season. The farm's own chickens provide fresh eggs in the morning and the landlady is happy to put a jar of home-made jam on the table. This is pure country life.

The house is located in a quiet side street that leads directly to Lake Schwerin in about 250 metres. You can reach the beach with playground, volleyball court and jetty, the fisherman with snack bar and boat rental, restaurant and bus stop within a short walking distance

In the next village Bad Kleinen (approx. 3 km) you will find everything for your daily needs: supermarkets, shops, tourist information, bicycle rental, pharmacy, doctors, restaurant, guarded beach, etc.

In about 15 km you can reach the state capital Schwerin and the Hanseatic city of Wismar with many leisure activities. Whether zoo, shopping centre, boat trip, climbing forest, boat tours, museums, theatre, cinema - you will find this and much more in one of the cities.

You can reach the beautiful beaches of the Baltic Sea Wohlenberger Wiek or Zierow in about 20 km.

For us perfect

A pretty, small apartment in a back house. There is a very large garden with seating and grilling options. The apartment itself is clean and fully equipped. A very nice and attentive landlord was waiting for us and showed us everything. I think we will see each other again - thank you :)

Beautiful October days at FH Prestin

The FH Prestin is a very nice summer holiday accommodation, where we also spent relaxing days at the beginning of October. The accommodation is comfortably furnished, very clean and barrier-free, so ideal, for example, for seniors with limited mobility. The beds are comfortable, we slept better than at home. Also positive is the possibility to use the large garden (fruit, barbecue, covered seating area for holiday guests). The FH is very quiet and optimal for access to Lake Schwerin as well as for excursions to Schwerin, Wismar, Lübeck, the Baltic Sea ...
The landlady, Mrs. Prestin, is very nice and helpful. She surprised us with various amenities (a glass of sparkling wine for welcome, small treats, fresh eggs from the chickens, great homemade jelly).

Peace and relaxation at Lake Schwerin.

During our vacation, after a strenuous year, we were looking for peace and relaxation and were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed in the most beautiful autumn weather and felt very welcome. The accommodation was very clean, practically furnished and already nicely heated. Mrs. Prestien surprised us with fresh eggs and great homemade jelly. We were allowed to enjoy the garden and received some very good tips and plants for our home. Fire pit and grill were available. The area is ideal for extensive walks. Excursions took us to Wismar, Schwerin, and Warnemünde. I will also remember positively when Mrs. Prestin took me to her neighbor who crafts with passion. There I found the individual holiday memories. All in all, a very nice vacation! Thank you very much, Family Prestin!

Holiday at Lake Schwerin

We spent some nice days with our 14 year old grandson in this apartment, which was meant as a cycling holiday. There are no complaints about the flat, but it is a pity that the kitchen, the corridor and the passage to all rooms are all in one. According to the house rules, you should eat in the kitchen - but that seemed a bit inappropriate to us. The flat was handed over very clean, the landlady is very nice and helpful. The offer to use the fruit from the garden was very friendly and we gladly took advantage of it. The place has a great fishery with attached kitchen and great offer, which you can also consume there when covered or packaged to take away. We recommend a visit to the small tourist information centre, where very competent women work. The towns of Schwerin, Wismar and the island of Poehl are easy to reach from Hohen Viecheln, but cyclists must be prepared for some hilly roads. There is a very well-maintained bathing establishment in the village. Otherwise: Mecklenburg is worth a visit!

Simple, but clean and tidy bungalow

We are going on vacation to relax and discover new things. We don't need an overpriced luxury estate for that, but a roof over our heads and good sleeping arrangements. These are certainly provided here. The Prestin family is also nice and helpful, which we experienced on the first day, as one of our children had a high fever and Mrs. Prestin immediately made an appointment with the nearest doctor for us over the phone. If I behave like a bull in a china shop, I can’t expect to be treated with kid gloves.

Hallo Carsten,
ich als Vermittler der Unterkunft kenne den Vermieter gut und bin regelmäßig zur Überprüfung des Objektes vor Ort. Eine Unterkunft, die aus meiner Sicht für Gäste nicht zumutbar wäre, würde ich grundsätzlich nicht vermitteln. Es ist richtig, dass der Vermieter direkt gegenüber des Ferienhauses wohnt. Blickkontakte bleiben da nicht aus. Richtig ist auch, dass in der Unterkunft nicht geraucht werden darf. Dies darf grundsätzlich in keiner Unterkunft. Nachfolgende Mieter und Kinder sollen durch den unangenehmen Geruch geschützt werden. Vor der Tür ist das Rauchen möglich. Auch gibt es einen großen Garten mit geschützten Sitzbereich, so dass man ungestört draußen sitzen kann. Bezüglich der aufgestellten Regeln habe ich mit dem Vermieter gesprochen. Er teilte mir mit, dass lediglich auf einige wichtige Dinge der Hausordnung eingegangen wurde. Das ist aus meiner Sicht in Ordnung und auch wichtig. Ich hoffe, dass Sie dennoch einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub in Hohen Viecheln hatten.
