Description

Villa La Marquesa is a pretty cottage not far away from the city of Las Palmas , at 18 Kms, in the heart of Gran Canaria island where there are beautiful mountains and landscape. It is located inside a " finca" ( farm) owned by the same family since two centuries.
Within the property of m2 of land there are two houses separated by the garden.
The main house where the owners live is an old Manor house built in the beginning of 18 th century .
The smaller one is a cottage from the 50s : with 120 square metres within the garden that surrounds both houses . It is this cottage that you can rent all the year round. The cottage itself has a private garden with lovely roses and other endemic plants from Canary Islands and an orchard with fruit trees.
Near to the house there is a modern and beautiful swimming pool 22 meters long. Next to the pool there is a stone sculpture by the German artist Ulrich Ruckriem in the place that he himself chose for its setting twenty years ago.
The cottage has two bedrooms with their adjoining bathrooms (one of them ensuite). A living room, dining room and kitchen. Beside the house there is a " patio" where you can sit or to have lunch.
The decoration is very elegant with modern and vintage furniture. All paintings and prints are original of famous Canarian painters.
In front of the house you only have the sights of a original garden of 5000 square metres, which provides a lot of peace and calm, the perfect spot for a relaxing holidays.
Close to the garden you have a huge parking lot from where you can sight a plantation of proteas , which are exotic plants brought from South Africa and are now cultivated here. You have a private entrance for yourself and for your car, that is guests and owners do not disturb each other and both have their privacy.

Location and surroundings of object

The rest of the " finca" is a beautiful plantation of flowers, bushes, orange trees , lemon trees and a large road flanked by spectacular blue color Agapanthus.

In the garden you can see two huge Araucarias more than 150 years old. These trees were planted in front of the Manor house to provide shade as it has been a summer house for more than a century.
From the " finca" you can walk to many places nearby through pathways taking you to different and interesting views from the numerous valleys and hills that surrounds the property.

Special discount for long stays one month or more. Please ask rates.

Cancellation terms:

  • -If cancellation is done due to Covid measure (flight cancellation or confinement) we will not charge any cancellations costs, instead we will keep the deposit for a future booking. - Cancellation Policy: For cancellations notice given 3 months prior to arrival 25 % charge of the advanced amount. Between 90 - 60 days notice 50 % charge of the advanced amount. Less than 60 days notice : full charge of the advanced payment. No show or checking out before the booked date does not give right to refund.
