Many improvements have already been made: in October 2024 the dormer was renewed and the ground floor was completely renovated in the spring of 2025. All photos now show the new result.
Take a time-out and enjoy relaxing in our cozy summer cottage in Egmond aan Zee! Close to the dunes and the beach, who wouldn’t want that. It’s beautiful here in every season and it’s always lively in the charming village center.
In October 2024 the dormer in the large bedroom was completely renewed. The windows now have HR+++ sun-resistant glass and the plastic frames provide great ease of use. In the small sleeping area on the landing, a large new skylight has been installed. With the roller blind in the window you can darken the room well. In addition, the window can be opened for optimal ventilation.
Our cozy summer cottage is located at the edge of the North Holland dune reserve. The perfect starting point for hiking and cycling tours or a day at the beach (only 500 meters away). The center of Egmond aan Zee with its many restaurants, terraces, and nice shops is also easily reachable on foot.
The summer cottage has a private terrace with garden furniture, so you can sit outside comfortably. The sunshade provides shade.
Inside the house, everything is available for a pleasant stay. On the ground floor you will find a spacious living room with sitting area, dining area, a TV, and WIFI. In the cupboard you will find games and books in various languages. In the open kitchen you will find an induction hob, combination oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. There are also enough pans, cutlery, crockery, and other cooking utensils available. We also offer basic products such as salt, pepper and oil, tea, coffee and sugar, and some cleaning items.
In the new, pleasant and spacious bathroom you will find the rain shower, the sink, and the toilet. Here you will also find basic products such as shampoo and shower gel and there is a hairdryer.
On the first floor there is a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a wooden crib with a good mattress for the little ones.
Bed linen, towels, and tea towels are ready for you. Beach towels are not included. Blackout curtains hang in front of the sun-resistant windows of the dormer.
Next to the large bedroom, on the landing, you will find 2 single beds (the second bed is pulled out from under the first one if needed). Here, 1 adult or 2 children can sleep comfortably. The washing machine is also here and the stairs come up here. Still, it can be made nice and dark with the roller blind in the skylight and by pulling down the roller blind by the door downstairs. It is also safe thanks to the stair gate at the top of the stairs.

Egmond aan Zee is located directly by the sea. It is approximately 35 kilometers from Amsterdam and 10 kilometers from Alkmaar. Both cities are worth a visit. In the supplementary information, you will find tips about the area.
The old village center of Egmond, with its small typical Dutch houses, is very cozy with many restaurants, terraces, and nice shops. To the south and north, Egmond aan Zee borders the entrance to the North Holland Dune Reserve. Here, many coastal animals and birds live. On foot, on horseback, or by bike, there are numerous walks to take.

CHECK-IN
Check-in at our summer house C-lane is contactless. Upon arrival, you can park your car in front of the summer house if there is enough space. If not, please choose another spot in the neighborhood. Make sure it is zone C or D.
On the second white gate at the side of the main house, you will find a sign with the name C-lane on it. That is the entrance to the summer house. Codes and further instructions will be provided after booking.
WHAT IS PROVIDED
Bed linen, towels, and tea towels are provided for you in the summer house. We kindly ask you to bring your own beach towels. If you have requested it, a travel cot and a high chair will also be available. Please let us know a few days in advance.
In the kitchen you will find, among other things, a kettle and a coffee machine for cups. Both tea and coffee cups are ready for you.
In the kitchen you will also find sugar, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Dish soap is also provided and there are some basic cleaning supplies. For more information about what is available in the kitchen, check the photos.
In the bathroom you will find shower gel, shampoo, cotton pads and swabs, and a hairdryer.
Upstairs you will find a washing machine. Please bring your own detergent.

BEFORE DEPARTURE
On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to remove the bed linen from the beds and place it at the bottom of the stairs, together with all used towels and tea towels.
Please return all used pans, plates, cutlery, etc. clean and dry to the cupboards.
You can return the keys to the house in the key safe next to the front door.
WHERE DOES THE WASTE GO
General waste, plastic waste, and organic waste can be disposed of in separate, well-tied garbage bags in our waste containers. These are located under the wooden enclosure next to the house. Containers for paper and glass can be found next to the bus stop at Hotel Zuiderduin. We kindly ask you to take those there yourself.

Our favorite house
We have been coming to Egmond aan Zee for many years, and since discovering this little house, it has become our favorite house. You can get to the beach and the beautiful dune area super quickly and enjoy the peace away from the busy city center. Around the corner, there are playgrounds, and children feel very comfortable here as well. The large kitchen offers all possibilities, and Maria and her family are available at any time for questions.

Everything perfect! Again and again!
The apartment is lovingly furnished, it is spotless, and everything is really available (coffee, tea, salt and pepper, oil, paper towels, freezer bags, shower gel, shampoo, soap.....etc.)
The landlords are very nice, and we are already looking forward to the next vacation in this great apartment!

Relaxing vacation days
We really had relaxing days there! It is a beautiful apartment. Very lovingly furnished, with a lot of style. And all possible things that one really needs were absolutely considered. Additionally, everything is really very neatly arranged. And there is absolutely no need for further inquiries about missing items. The contact with the landlords was also simply smooth and very, very friendly. We would love to book the apartment again. And it is highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a nice break.

Beautiful holiday cottage by the sea
We spent a whole month in the holiday home C Lane. Everything is on-site for self-catering. We were able to cook great dishes, even baking bread in the new kitchen oven.
Egmond is a great place for a vacation, and the beach is 500 meters away and beautiful.
The dune entrance is 200 meters away, and the town center with a small supermarket is also reachable in 10 minutes on foot.
We spent the vacation with a child, and everything was taken care of. The landlords are very friendly and gladly fulfilled every expressed need. We would love to come back; this is a wonderful summer house. See you!

Wonderful holiday home in Egmond aan Zee
We - a couple with an 8-year-old daughter - have been guests at Maria's and Sebastiaan's vacation house for the second time and were again enthusiastic! Perfect location in Egmond aan Zee, close to the beach and the village with all shopping options, quietly situated, good parking possibility usually directly in front of the door. The little house itself has a lovely sun terrace in front of the entrance, downstairs a tastefully furnished and cozy living/dining area, a new kitchenette with complete equipment, a new bathroom with a large shower, and upstairs a passage room with a pull-out children's bed and a bedroom with a large, comfortable double bed as well as a baby bed. Perfect for couples or families with 1-2 children for a wonderful holiday in beautiful North Holland! Very nice and warm landlords - thank you very much, we would love to come back!
