Description: Stone summer house suitable for max. 2-3 adults (or family with 2 adults and 2 children under 10 years), fully furnished, with private terrace.

Ground floor: Hallway, shower / WC, separate freezer. Living room with digital flat-screen TV with all Dutch channels, NEW: Chromecast (watch Netflix with your own account or watch YouTube videos), Blu-ray and DVD player, Internet / WIFI (with its own router) and radio / CD player, a separate new kitchen with, among other things, a new induction cooktop that is easy to use, and new pots, a dishwasher (with sufficient dishwasher tabs), refrigerator and a combination oven/microwave. High chair. 1. Floor: Sleeping area with 2 single beds (box spring beds), a large bedroom for 2 people with a large double bed 160x210 + a single bed and a baby travel cot. Central heating. Separate entrance and private terrace with garden furniture and clotheslines.
You receive a free parking space and 2 dune cards (children up to 18 years have free access to the dunes).
NEW 2023: TV with Chromecast, so you can watch using your own NETFLIX account. And we have faster Wi-Fi, now 175 Mb! NEW 2024: Induction cooktop, hard stone countertop and sink.

Location and surroundings of object

Location: +/- 50 m distance from the dunes and 300 meters from the beach and the center. You can enjoy in the spring of colorful flower fields. In about 5 min. You are at the beach where you can walk in any season or sit in the sun on the many terraces. In summer you can enjoy live music and there is a weekly market in the center and you can eat in many fine restaurants. There have been doing a lot of nice trips in the area (see our summerhouse - Tourist map). For small children there is a playground in the street. You can also visit the historical and cultural city of Alkmaar (20 minutes by car).

additional information:

You can visit the historic city of Alkmaar, this is 20 minutes drive from Egmond aan Zee. Here, every Friday is a big cheese market with cheese porters as happened in earlier times. You can rent a boat to sail through the canals. The historically beautiful capital city of the Netherlands, Amsterdam is 3/4 hour drive from our holiday house.
You can visit the harbor city IJmuiden (half an hour drive) where where the New Castle ferry arrives and departs.
It is also nice to visit the picturesque art village of Bergen or the many historic towns like Monnickendam, Hoorn, Medemblik, Enkhuizen.
If you drive to Den Helder (3/4 hour), you can go by ferryboat (half an hour) to the beautiful island of Texel and sail along the Wadden Sea, where you can see seals.
In our house is a tourist folder with many outings in the area.

Vacation in Egmond aan Zee

It was a beautiful accommodation for our vacation at the end of September.
Everything you need for a vacation is available, everything is very nicely furnished.
You can quickly get to the North Sea, the dunes, and the city center
with a large supermarket.
The most important German TV
programs are easy to watch.
There is a small terrace in front of the house,
with sun from 10:30 at the end of September. The beds are very good and comfortable, but you have to go up a steep staircase to get to the upper floor.
If you are good on foot, no problem.
Free parking in front of the house.
Very nice landlords.
We would love to come back.

Cozy vacation home

The cottage is decorated with cheerful colors, located close to the beach and center, and conveniently situated for further excursions. Large bedroom, good bed. Everything is available and good wifi! In bad weather, you can watch plenty of movies! A recommendation from the host: the Beatles museum in Alkmaar! You feel transported back to nostalgic times! We had a wonderful vacation in Egmond, worth repeating.

Splendid accomodation!

This is all you could wish for if you're looking for a nice holiday house very close to the shore (and the must-see dune area) of Egmond aan Zee. Two bedrooms with two beds each, a well-equipped kitchen, of course wifi, a tv with enough channels and plenty of dvd and blue-rays movies. We've rarely seen such a clean holiday accomodation. Last but not least, the hospitaly of the owners was heart-warming. Thank you Alexandra and Nico!

Great summer house close to the beach

We felt very comfortable and can only recommend the summer house. It was very clean, you can reach the beach and the village in a few minutes. We spent a beautiful 2 weeks at "De Dukdalf." We would love to come back!

Always happy to come back

The decor and style of the house really appealed to us, we almost felt at home and didn't want to leave! :D Everything was within walking distance and the hosts were also super nice! Top!

After being warmly welcomed, we were given a brief explanation and there was actually a delicious bottle of wine ready for us. The cottage is fully equipped and lacks nothing. Both the beach and the center can be reached within a 5-minute walk. We will definitely come back, thank you Nico and Alexandra.

enjoyed at the Dukdalf

We spent 1 month in this holiday home with great pleasure. The landlords Nico and Alexandra are very friendly and helpful and are always available for you. The cottage is very close to the entrance to the beautiful dunes and also close to a quiet beach entrance near beach pavilion de Zilvermeeuw. We walked almost daily in the beautiful dunes and also made beautiful bike rides to the neighboring villages and through the dunes almost daily. In short, we enjoyed our stay at the Dukdalf.

A beautiful week!!!!

We spent 1 week in this accommodation. It was perfect.....the small cottage was well equipped. For the welcome, there was a bottle of wine.....you could make it nice and cozy by candlelight. You were in the dunes in 2 minutes.....8 minutes to the beach.....it wasn't far to the town center either.....all around beautiful. The hosts were super nice.....we would love to come back again. Empfehlenswertes Sommerhaus

It was our first stay with our neighbors in the Netherlands.
We can only judge for ourselves, except for the weather, which was changeable during our stay, it was a great vacation.
We were warmly welcomed by our landlords Alexandra and Nico.
The friendliness of our neighbors was highlighted throughout the week.
This will not be the last time we have spent our vacation in the Netherlands. We are trying to book a stay at the vacation home De Dukdalf again. Thanks again to Alexandra and Nico, our landlords, who welcomed us so kindly. We felt very comfortable in your summer house De Dukdalf. The summer house left nothing to be desired, even a small selection of spices and coffee was available. Dish soap, liquid soap, and dishwasher tabs were also provided.

Sehr schönes Sommerhaus

Dear Alexandra, dear Nico,

we can only thank you for the great stay in your summer cottage. We were there over Christmas (the weather was better than sometimes in summer ;-) and felt completely comfortable! The kitchen was well-equipped (pots, pans, dishwasher...) and had everything we needed for our family of 5. The holiday home was very clean and modernly furnished. The beds were made upon arrival. A bottle of wine and some snacks were on the table. Thank you very much for this. We would come back anytime... and just found out that it is already fully booked for next summer. No wonder... this house has many repeat visitors... we will definitely be among them! Wishing you a great year in 2019 with many nice guests and stories. First time ind equal wonderful

This was our first time in the Netherlands as a family and it was a very positive holiday, mainly due to the accommodation:

On the one hand, there are the landlords, who are top: Flexible (due to our late arrival), nice and accommodating (welcome, explanations and helpfulness), on the other hand the equipment (everything you need plus more), the accommodation (we felt at home) and the location (playground around the corner, close to the beach, close to the centre).

We ate well in the restaurants in Egmond, the Jumbo supermarket has a good selection, the hospital in Alkmaar was also great (one of the children had a bladder infection at the weekend).

In short: we can highly recommend spending your holidays in this place - even with five people!

Always happy to do it again

The holiday apartment is very well-equipped. Alexandra and Nico are very nice (Sorry for ringing the doorbell so early this morning). The standard is higher than most holiday apartments I know in Egmond. I will certainly not be the last time at De Dukdalf.

Summer vacation May / June 2018

In great weather, we spent a week at the summer house De Dukdalf. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and flowers on the table, which was very nice. When we vacation in Holland, it's always in Egmond and at the summer house De Dukdalf. The overall impression of the summer house was very positive, everything was super clean, the kitchen had everything we needed - kitchen appliances, towels, spices, and cleaning supplies were all there. In the bathroom, everything was provided for personal care, including plenty of toilet paper. On the washstand in the bedroom, soap and a hairdryer were available. The beds were so good that we slept well on the first night. One suggestion: it would be nice to have better options for hanging clothes. We really enjoyed our stay and can fully recommend it.

Top Zomerhuis

We spent our holiday in May 2018 for the first time in this fantastic charmingly decorated summer house De Dukdalf! The cottage is very beautiful and cozy, everything you need is present in the kitchen, the new dishwasher is also nice. The beds were comfortable and in the mornings, we almost ate breakfast every day in the sun on the cozy terrace, surrounded by many blooming flowers. The dunes were around the corner, and after a 5-minute walk along the dunes, you reach the lovely South Beach, by beach pavilion Zilvermeeuw.
We felt very much at home here and will definitely return to De Dukdalf. We can highly recommend this summer house to couples or families.

We zitten inderdaad met de ingang van de mooie duinen om de hoek en het strand is een mooie korte wandeling langs de duinen naar het strand, waar je heerlijke koffie of thee met een stuk gebak kunt eten bij strandpaviljoen Zilvermeeuw. Top interior and top location near the beautiful "Egmond Dunes"

This is our third time here. This accommodation is really great! ..with wifi, DVDs, and everything you need to relax. The beach and dunes are nearby, as well as shopping.
With the landlords Nico and Alexandra, we truly feel at home.
Upon arrival, we always find a bottle of wine on the table, and the vacation starts right away!
Of course, we have already booked for next year.

Our 2nd home

We have been going to the summer house De Dukdalf for almost 3 years now :-) We are always warmly welcomed, and the summer house and Egmond aan Zee have become our second home.

The landlords are nice and also fulfill requests that are emailed at short notice :-) :-)

We are completely satisfied and look forward to being able to spend one of our many vacations there at least once in 2017.
