Description
The holiday home on the edge of a village in the Bergisches Land was completely renovated between 2013 and 2016 and extended with a separate sauna house with additional shower and toilet and a veranda with a beautiful view of the large natural garden. A second terrace invites you directly at the house with a garden table for 6 people, barbecue and glazed parapet, which offers a view into the garden. A 3rd sun terrace by the pond with deck chairs and a pavilion by the pond . There are 3 bedrooms in the house - a double bedroom on the ground floor with 180x200 cm bed and 2 cosy attic bedrooms with 2 single beds 90x200 cm each. A bathroom is also in the house with a large floor-deep shower. In the kitchen you will find a dishwasher, a 4-zone induction hob (electric cooking as with gas), coffee maker, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery.... Free W-LAN is available in the house with very good reception in the living room. Attached to the living room is the small, red conservatory with sofas, a flat screen TV, a music system, books and a game stool ..
In addition, the 2nd large, bright conservatory offers a nice seating area for reading, telling stories, drinking coffee ... Here you live secluded in the green with the possibility to hike from the house, to go out for dinner nearby or to use the forest swimming pool in summer. Shopping facilities are only 3 minutes away by car in nearby Dabringhausen. For cultural excursions, Cologne and Düsseldorf are only 30 and 40 minutes away by car.

Beautiful location in the Bergisches Land not far from Cologne and Düsseldorf. On the edge of the forest with a large sunny garden, 3 terraces, separate sauna house. Hiking and mountain bike tours with more or less gradients can be started from the house. Around the Dhünntalsperre, through the Eifgental along the Jakobsweg or via Maria in der Aue to Altenberg. It is only a 5-minute walk to the forest swimming pool (open during the summer holidays in NRW) or the Coenenmühle pancake house. In the afternoon you can relax in the sauna, use the sun terraces, have a barbecue in a relaxed atmosphere ...

Friendly, individual cottage with great sauna, garden close to nature, beautiful hikes/bike tours from the front door...
Although in the middle of a densely built-up village, it is nice to be alone or with the squirrels, birds..

Cosy cottage with enchanted garden in the middle of nature
The 2 days we spent there with a small group of men were not nearly enough to use all the great possibilities of this house. So the sauna with its own terrace facing the garden remained unused, also the kitchen including a small oven. It was a bit too cold at the end of October for the beautiful large terrace with barbecue, also for the many versatile seating options in the garden, which borders directly on the forest.
The tiled stove is easy to use and heats the whole house with free wood, but there are also electric heaters (the electricity costs extra). Wifi worked great
The landlord is friendly and professional, thank you especially for the tip with the bird house and for the provided filling. Two squirrels and "the whole flock of birds" from crested tit to nuthatch to woodpecker and jay came to visit - very nice.
I am already thinking about who to come back with.

Very nice holiday home in a quiet location
Lovingly renovated and tastefully furnished, spacious house (many cozy seating options both inside and in the garden) is located directly by the forest and offers heavenly tranquility. Exactly what a vacation guest seeking relaxation needs. Although we did not have the best weather, it was a beautiful short vacation and we can only recommend the vacation home!

Your holiday home meets all wishes, a very nicely furnished accommodation with everything you need. A great natural garden!!!
The sauna is for relaxation and is very nicely done, especially the beautiful view of the greenery. Just great. On your terrace, we could observe the animals as they raided the birdhouse. The fireplace also made it cozy and warm in the evenings. A glass of wine at the pond with the stream topped it all off. Thank you for your kind welcome and your uncomplicated nature. Thanks also to your cleaning fairy, who contributed to a nice vacation. We'll see you again soon.

Get out of the city .....and enjoy :-)
...there were six of us and a toddler in the Ketzberg holiday home and we spent a wonderful weekend there. We felt right at home, we wanted for nothing. There was always a loving detail to discover in the house and garden. With a bright blue sky, we especially enjoyed the sun terrace (also recommended for yoga practice in a group :-)), the garden and the view of the greenery. Surrounded by the babbling of the brook and the chirping of birds, we were able to forget the noise of the city very quickly and let our souls dangle. We could start our hikes directly from the house. The attached sauna house is absolutely amazing! The contact with the landlord deserves special mention. We found Mr Gniewoß to be reliable, personal and helpful. Overall, the house is highly recommended!

Wonderful oasis for couples, small groups, fasting days and b.B. lots of exercise
We felt very comfortable as a group, there was nothing lacking except a fine sieve :) Activities can be undertaken in all directions according to need and weather. The sauna house is especially recommended. Our landlord had provided us with a welcome greeting as well as a briefing. All in all, we will always come back. Once again - thank you :)

Very cozy house!
It was a joy to stay in this house. Lovely fireplace and the sauna is a treat. It has all the comfort you need. I like to cook and the kitchen is very nice. We also loved the scenery of the garden and the piece and quiteness of the place.
The location is very good too. Nearby places to hike and many good restaurants.
The owner was very hospitable and made our stay comfortable.

Perfect for relaxing
A super nice little house to relax, enjoy a sauna and explore the area. We were able to enjoy the house for a weekend at the end of November. Very cozy, with lots of attention to detail. There is everything that makes leisure time comfortable and more enjoyable (fully equipped kitchen, very good beds, enough space for 6 people, candles, a very nice fireplace and of course the sauna). Due to the weather, we couldn't use all the outdoor facilities: beautiful terraces with a large barbecue, a small stream, meadow, forest. But we will simply come back in summer. One small note, because I am personally affected by it: the stairs to the upper bedrooms are quite steep and not suitable for people with walking disabilities (e.g. walking stick) or balance disorders. However, there is also a very nice bedroom on the ground floor for 2 people.

Lovely natural property and house for relaxing.
Not far from Cologne, you will find a magnificent and secluded natural property with many opportunities to relax. The house is lovingly furnished, clean, and has everything you need. The fantastic and spacious sauna in the adjacent building with a cozy and covered terrace completes the experience. The booking process and the subsequent refund of the security deposit went smoothly, and the contact with the landlord, Mr. Gniewoß, was extremely friendly. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back again.

Top holiday home!
We had very nice Easter days in this beautifully located and well-equipped holiday home. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't so nice, so we couldn't spend as much time in the great, large natural garden as we would have liked. The trampoline and hammock were a hit with our children. We will definitely come back again and hope for better weather ;)

Beautiful house and garden. Really enjoyed the sauna and the tranquility. The house is equipped with everything you need, so no need to bring anything, just someone to enjoy it with.
