The flat in the basement is 42 m² and suitable for a maximum of 3 people. It has a separate entrance. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed and a pull-out sofa bed. A travel cot and a high chair for children are available. The kitchen-cum-living room has a dining area with wicker furniture, a cosy seating area with cable TV and radio, as well as a fully equipped kitchenette with oven, hob, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and a fridge with freezer compartment. The separate bathroom has a shower, washbasin and WC. From the spacious furnished terrace in the garden with sitting area, Hollywood swing, sunshade, garden barbecue and loungers, you have a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains of the Thuringian Forest.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday flat is quietly situated on the edge of the forest with a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Hiking trails and cross-country skiing tracks can be found in the immediate vicinity. The connection to public transport as well as a shopping centre with bakery, butcher and supermarket are about 200 m away. Welcome to Goldlauter, a state-recognised resort in the Vessertal biosphere reserve in the Thuringian Forest!
Goldlauter / Heidersbach (550 -700 m) is a district of the well-known arms town of Suhl and is idyllically situated at the foot of the highest mountain in the Thuringian Forest. A charming landscape with vast meadow valleys and dense forests is right on your doorstep. Here you can spend relaxing days and unwind on secluded paths in romantic surroundings. Thanks to well-signposted hiking trails, you can conquer 9 of the 10 highest mountains in the Thuringian Forest from here and of course learn to enjoy the famous ridge trail of the Thuringian Forest, the Rennsteig. On a well-signposted circular walk (13 km) you can experience the village from different perspectives. In winter, a 50 km network of cross-country ski trails around the Großer Beerberg (ski hire available) and the more challenging downhill slope at the Salzberg are ideal for sporting activities. Skiing is possible all year round in the Oberhof ski hall.

In Goldlauter, the massifs of the almost metre-high mountains Wilder Kopf, Großer Beerberg, Fichtenkopf etc. tower over the valleys by almost 500 metres. In terms of nature, you will be spoilt here as a guest. Clear mountain streams from which you can drink without worrying splash down into the valley. It is not without reason that the Thuringian Forest is a nature park! Right in the middle of it: the UNESCO biosphere reserve, in which Goldlauter is also located. The network of hiking trails around Goldlauter-Heidersbach offers well-known destinations within a 9 km radius, such as Suhl-Vesser (UNESCO biosphere reserve Vessertal), Oberhof, Zella-Mehlis, Schmiedefeld, Frauenwald, Stützerbach and Gehlberg (Schneekopf).
The quality-certified "summit hiking trail" (30 km), marked with a red triangle, offers fantastic views from 7 of the 9 highest elevations (867 - approx. 1000 m) in the Thuringian Forest. (Großer Beherberg (982 m), Schneekopf (978 m), Großer Finsterberg (944 m), Großer Eisenberg (903 m), Rosenkopf (924 m), Fichtenkopf (944 m), Sachsenstein (915 m). With its striking mountains, cliffs and deep valleys, the area around the "Großer Beerberg" (983m) is one of the most impressive low mountain ranges in Germany.
