Nice, rustic, traditional Thuringian holiday flat with enough space for 4 to 6 people.
Non-smoking flat, odourless and clean. Large modernised bathroom, with tub + shower and wall-mounted WC. The kitchenette is a bit too small to cook for yourself. But for smaller dishes it works if you want, with a lot of patience and spit. There is enough crockery etc. available. Small fridge with icebox. Many games/board games, reading material etc. available. Internet available, bandwidth sufficient. Separate parking space in front of the house.

Landlord very friendly and pleasant.

Ski rental (cross-country skiing) can be purchased cheaply at the T-Info. All places worth seeing easy and quick to reach

We were very satisfied, price/performance very good.

We had a fantastic week in the mountains. Super nice hosts, a paradise of nature. House top maintained and a great terrace to relax. Our two "bears" didn't want to go home either. We'll be back :-)

Pure relaxation

The stay in this holiday flat exceeded our positive expectations by far. Everything we needed to feel comfortable was there. The landlords are just great, super nice and uncomplicated. They gave us very individual tips and suggestions that made our relaxing holiday even more enjoyable.
We liked it so much that we have already booked two more stays and are looking forward to winter there.

Suhl and the Climate in the Southern Thuringian Forest

Suhl is the most nature-rich city in Thuringia. It is nestled in a hilly, forested landscape dominated by two high mountains. Suhl on the Rennsteig is an old city, founded by the Celts around 500 BC. Ore mining and iron processing were the main products from the beginning, which helped the city prosper. However, the biggest highlight of the Thuringian Forest is the Thuringian Forest Biosphere Reserve, which spans an area of 327 km² between Suhl, Ilmenau, and Schleusingen and belongs to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The nucleus of the reserve is the Vessertal Biosphere Reserve, which was established in 1979 as the first biosphere reserve in Germany.
