Description
A vacation home for 2 with a fantastic view and utmost comfort. Our vacation home Heimatliebe is situated quietly at an altitude of 600 meters with a view of the mountains.
The small, yet exquisite vacation home Heimatliebe has been lovingly furnished in a country house style. Throughout the living area, the solid oak wood flooring provides coziness. The friendly living room is comfortably and snugly furnished with a leather sofa, cozy wingback chair with stool, a fireplace, and the covered corner bench. Here you can choose between fire and a wide view. The living space is followed by the fully equipped kitchen in warm wood look, which leaves nothing to be desired.
From the hallway, a door leads to the small guest toilet and the next door leads to the bedroom with an en suite modern bathroom with shower/toilet. The bedroom features a luxurious box spring bed. There is also a small utility room.
The cottage is located on a 1000 sqm plot. The terrace and the property "around the house" are fenced, so dogs can enjoy free run. From the holiday home, you can start hiking immediately and find yourself on field and forest paths after just a few hundred meters. Two managed hiking cabins nearby (approx. 30 min. walk) invite you to linger.

Location and surroundings of object
The Heimatliebe holiday home is ideally located as a starting point for long hikes, short walks or city visits. Situated a short distance (approx. 2 km) from the city centre, you're still in the middle of nature and can start hiking without crossing a busy road. The cottage is located at the end of a dead-end street in the quiet settlement (30 zone) on the Poppenberg. Within walking distance there are two huts, the Hiebammen Hütte and the Brockmanns-Hütte, which invite you to stay. The golf course with gastronomy is only about 1 km away. Numerous restaurants and pubs in Brilon are also only 2-3 km away.
The large outdoor swimming pool in the forest is also not far away.
In Willingen, approx. 9 km away, you will find countless gastronomic offers and shops, some of which are also open on Sundays for a leisurely shopping tour. The old Hanseatic town of Brilon with its many small shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs around the representative market square in front of the historic town hall invites you to stroll and linger.
Directly at the market is the Museum Hövener, where you can take a journey into past centuries. The market place (weekly market on Saturdays) can be reached in a few minutes by car.
Brilon is the most densely wooded town in Germany and a state-approved Kneipp health resort.
The former capital of the Duchy of Westphalia is a popular hiking centre.

In the immediate vicinity (approx. 1 km) of the holiday home you will find the beautiful Waldfreibad (outdoor swimming pool) which, with its approx. sqm of water surface, is the largest outdoor swimming pool in NRW and one of the largest natural swimming pools in Germany, and the golf course. The golf course of the Brilon Golf Club consists of a spacious, very well-kept 9-hole golf course, which has been laid out in a natural and landscape-friendly way. Fairways, greens and water hazards are designed in a varied way with a wonderful panoramic view over the land of 1000 mountains
The Borbergs Kirchhof is an ideal hiking destination. Whether with or without a four-legged companion - you cannot escape the special atmosphere of this place. And after exploring the historic site and its rustic and romantic surroundings, you can stop and rest in the cosy Hibammen Hut, the most beautiful hut on the Rothaarsteig. Let yourself be spoilt with hearty dishes and cool drinks or with coffee & cake. The Hiebammen hut can be reached from the holiday home in approx. 25 minutes on foot.
You can also decide to visit the Bruchhauser Steine after enjoying the fantastic view in the direction of Olsberg.
Or you "pack your swimming trunks" and visit one of the nearby Sauerland lakes, the Diemelsee. Here you can go surfing, sailing, boating or swimming. Or you take a sunbath at one of the beaches. You will also find a dog beach here.
The historic Dalheim Monastery, located in the charming Lichtenau landscape, is an ideal destination for a day trip. Numerous cultural events take place here.
Or you can visit the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Of course there are also countless and beautiful hiking trails and excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity, for example the Alme springs and Alme Castle with the old castle mill, which houses a very good restaurant: Almer Schlossmühle
If you are into winter sports, you will find numerous skiing areas with extensive winter sports facilities in the nearby surroundings. Due to the altitudes up to 840 m, the Hochsauerland with its winter sports arena is an excellent and proven winter sports area.
In the period from December to March you can usually count on good conditions for alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. Here in the Sauerland more than 100 lifts are running then. From your holiday home Heimatliebe in Brilon you can reach the winter sports centre Willingen with its ski slopes in a few minutes by car. Here you can find all skiing areas of the region and further information.
For beginners and children, the ski lift at Poppenberg in Brilon is within walking distance of the FH Heimatliebe. In addition, there are of course countless tobogganing slopes.
More than 1000 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, which are interconnected by cross-country skiing networks, also make the heart of cross-country skiers beat faster.
In winter, when the cross-country trail leads you directly here, but of course also in summer, it is good to take a break at the Hochheide-Hütte in Niedersfeld.

Simply great, we do not want to recommend it further, because then everything is always fully booked. ?
It was, like in the other houses, really relaxing and everything just fit perfectly. You do EVERYTHING super great. Next time we would like to try our accommodation "Waldfee," we are already looking for dates. Best regards from Ruppsch, Uli and Oli with Labbi Luna.

Beautiful little house
The house Heimatliebe is truly perfect; the location is simply stunning. The interior design: very cozy, you feel comfortable right away. The vacation starts as soon as you open the door or on the huge terrace. We were thrilled.

A place of peace and relaxation
The love for home is a beautiful little house that has everything you need! The furnishings are absolutely upscale, and every detail has been considered. You step in and immediately feel comfortable and at home. From the house, you can directly access nature and embark on short and long hikes. The little house comes highly recommended, and we would love to come back!
