Description

The holiday home Walli in beautiful Saarland can accommodate 5 people.

The property has a total area of 1200m² and approx. 170m² of living space.

On the ground floor (approx. 120m²) there is a fully equipped kitchen including a dining area, as well as a living and dining area, the bathroom and a guest WC. The bedroom with box spring bed for 2 people invites you to dream.
The ground floor offers space for 2 people.

On the upper floor (approx. 50m²) there are 2 additional bedrooms that can be booked if desired.
A double room and a room with a French bed (140x200 cm) offer space for 3 more guests.
Children’s/travel cot and high chair are available.
A safe is also available, but without guarantee for use!

The garden of the holiday house with terrace and furnished seating area is especially in summer a place to relax. Anyone who wishes may also use the swing grill in the garden and barbecue like a true Saarlander.

Your car will find space in front of the house.

Location and surroundings of object

The holiday home is located on the border to France in a small village called Bliesransbach
There is a grocery store with a bakery about 200 m from the holiday home
There are also two inns in the centre of the village, which also offer food on certain days
On the outskirts of the village about 200 m from the house, Kneipp friends will get their money's worth. A treading pool and arm bath with spring water provide refreshment
Only one kilometre away is a riding stable for horse lovers, and those who want to learn more about the surrounding nature can book ranger excursions at the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve
The Gräfintal nature stage puts on plays for young and old, especially in the summer months
The village also has a Saarbahn connection

In the nearest town of Kleinblittersdorf (approx. 5 km away) there are further shopping facilities: Lidl, Aldi, Rewe, Rossmann, Deichmann, and a Globus in Güdingen (8 km away)

France is only a stone's throw away
If you want to buy groceries there, you will find everything, for example, at the Record in Grosbliederstroff (approx. 6km). Fresh baguettes from France can also be quickly procured for breakfast.

In Saarbrücken, the Umsonst & Draußen series "Sundays at the Castle" takes place every Sunday from May to August. Live concerts are then played in the castle garden at 11 am and 6 pm

On the Saar, you can travel with Günther Emmer to France or to the Saarschleife

Other swimming and fun pools are in Kleinblittersdorf (3 km), Fechingen (4 km), Sarreguemines (6 km), Blieskastel (17 km), Altenkessel (20 km), Walsheim (13 km), Saarbücken (14 km), Kaiserslautern (65 km)

For hiking enthusiasts and active holidaymakers

The Saarland has a lot to offer, especially for hiking enthusiasts: Only 1 km from the holiday home is the Way of St. James, on which you can hike to the nearby Wintringer Chapel. On the farm of the same name, you can also buy organic products grown there or enjoy them in the country inn
Other hiking routes are the Felsenweg (rock path), the Schluchtenwanderung (gorge hike) or the Hüttenwanderung (hut hike)

Those who want a little more action can let off steam in the climbing park in Homburg or Saarbrücken.

For museum lovers

The Saar Historical Museum at Saarbrücken Castle offers an interesting insight into Saar history from the German Empire onwards. Remains of a medieval castle and Renaissance palace were found there a few years ago during renovation work and have also been made accessible to visitors
At the Völklingen Ironworks World Heritage Site, visitors can admire special exhibitions in addition to an insight into Saarland industrial culture

Another interesting place is the Landsweiler-Reden adventure site. There you will find a dinosaur park (Gondwana) and museum on another important part of Saarland's history, mining

Other interesting museums are the Celtic excavations in Reinheim and the Schlossberg caves in Homburg

Zweibrücken is home to the largest outlet centre in the entire region. Another is in Wadgassen. Of course, Saarbrücken with the Europagalerie and Bahnhofstraße and Neunkirchen with the Saarparkcenter also offer good shopping opportunities

Animal lovers

If you like zoos, the best place to go is Amneville Zoo. Although it is 70 km away, it is one of the best zoos in the area
There are smaller zoos in Saarbrücken and Neunkirchen, and Saarbrücken also has a small wildlife park

Perfect starting point for e-bike tours on the Saar and Blies

We (2 people) spent a week in this large holiday home near Saargemünd and were completely satisfied. The house is used exclusively, which offers a lot of privacy – the private parking space right in front of the door is particularly practical.

Amenities & Living Experience: The furnishings are well thought out: The kitchen is fully equipped, the living room cozy, the dining area inviting. The bedroom and bathroom are clean and functional. The additional guest toilet is a real plus. Small drawback: Those with limited mobility should note that there are a few steps to overcome from the kitchen/bedroom to the bathroom/living area – not a big hurdle, but worth mentioning.

The highlight: The location is a dream for e-bike riders. From here, the area around Blies and Saar can be wonderfully explored. Especially nice: The bike path on the French side – well-developed, scenic, and low in traffic. Saargemünd itself is quickly reached by bike, as are the small towns along the rivers.

Conclusion: For those looking for a quiet, well-located base for active tours (and who have no problem with the few steps in the house), this holiday home is a clear recommendation. Would gladly return!

Dear Waltraud and dear Edgar,
the beautiful holiday house is absolutely spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Nothing is really missing and we felt completely comfortable in the very spacious house for three weeks. From the morning sun in the bathroom (two windows!) to the sunset on the beautifully furnished terrace: simply great - it couldn't be better! Due to its location, the house is the ideal starting point for exploring the area on foot, by bike, by car or by public transport. There is a lot to discover!
We enjoyed the time very much and you two are great holiday home landlords.

?☘️Best holiday home Saarland

Wow! What a beautiful holiday home,??! We felt very comfortable there from the first day! The house is located in a very quiet street,lovely fully furnished!Everything available for daily use! Our children were very enthusiastic, every plant/flower in the garden was photographed for their report, the terrace and the deck chairs were not lacking on sunny days. The couple even has a folder in the house with all the brochures about places to visit/hiking trails in the area (Thank you Waltraud & Edgar. It was very helpful). Friendly nice neighbours even, with whom you could chat occasionally.
We heartily recommend the Wallis holiday home! You won't regret it,☘️? and yes holidays in Saarland with lots of nature/forest is just good for the soul.

Great house in beautiful surroundings

We spent our two-week summer holiday with our two children (4 and 8 years old) in the Walli holiday home this year and felt very comfortable there! The house is very spacious and yet comfortably furnished and the equipment far exceeds that of a usual holiday home. It is very, very clean and everything is very well maintained and works perfectly. We also enjoyed spending time in the garden and relaxing into the evening. The Hollywood swing and the swivel chair were particularly popular! There was nothing lacking here either. The house is in a pleasant, quiet residential area with nice neighbours. Waltraud and Edgar are very pleasant, understanding and flexible landlords who were always available for everything. Arrival and departure went smoothly and all contact was very uncomplicated and always nice. There is a lot to discover and visit in the surrounding area. Our children (and we) were very enthusiastic about the Schlossberg caves in Homburg and the tree top walk with a view of the magnificent Saarschleife. We will gladly come again to discover even more!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Waltraud and Edgar once again for a successful holiday (and also again for the nice birthday present)!

Very nice holiday home!

We really liked the house, it has appealing interior design and is tastefully and functionally furnished. The overall ambiance makes the stay very pleasant. Short vacation

Dear Mrs. Amberger, dear Mr. Keßler,

after initial difficulties, our stay in your exceptionally beautiful holiday home ultimately fulfilled all expectations. We immediately felt comfortable in the spacious rooms. The kitchen is perfectly equipped.
Unfortunately, our grandchildren missed the internet connection, but maybe it will come in the future?! Besides our excursions, we always enjoyed coming back to your wonderful home. After our daily game at the round table, it sometimes got late. In the end, the grandparents entertained themselves with two informative books about Saarland in the late evening.
It's a shame that time passed so quickly. Upon our departure, we realized that you are very kind landlords and we would like to thank you again for your hospitality.
A reunion is unavoidable if we stay healthy.

A unique dream house

Holiday home Walli leaves one speechless. It exceeds expectations in every way. The spacious rooms, the huge garden, the beautiful bathroom, everything was perfect. Everything we needed was there, everything was very clean, and every detail had been thought of.
We had a wonderful vacation in the beautiful Bliesransbach. The landlords, Waltraud and Edgar, are very hospitable and we will definitely recommend this house to our friends.

dream house

Such a beautiful house. Wonderful, individually designed and furnished with lots of interesting details. There are no wishes left unfulfilled when it comes to the equipment of the kitchen and bathroom, and there is really everything you could need on vacation. It is so wonderfully quiet and the view from the garden in the evening at sunset is unbeatable. The contact with the landlords is uncomplicated, they are very kind and I felt well taken care of. Thank you very much for that.

Schon zum 2.Mal

Like the year before last, we spent Christmas and New Year's again at the beautiful holiday home Walli. There were five of us, and everyone was once again impressed by the layout and size of the house. There is absolutely nothing missing; the house is superbly furnished, and you immediately feel at home. Even the small details, like a loving decoration spread throughout the house, are not lacking. Simply great again. If time allows, we will come back this year.

Absolutely beautiful and pure tranquility!!!!!!!!

We spent 2 lovely weeks at Wally's Super Holiday Home, even the weather was on our side. A very beautiful, well-maintained house with everything you need. We met 2 lovable people, and even our phone was put back on the RIGHT track. A bottle of sparkling wine was already chilled in the fridge for our welcome (thanks again for that) - what more could one want, everything was perfect! We are 2 seniors, 70 and 73 years old, and we felt very comfortable and welcome in the house. 74 years old from Mainz, we will definitely come back if we stay healthy ;)

This house has completely exceeded our expectations and is much more beautiful and larger than it appears and reads on the internet. We felt very comfortable from the beginning! The landlords are very nice and friendly (even to us Palatinate people). We will also come in summer to sit in the beautiful garden and barbecue on the "Schwenker" grill. We will come back, we have even already booked again. Conclusion: A very successful short vacation in the beautiful Saarland.

We became aware of your guesthouse through the internet.
Already the photos impressed us!
But on site. . . . Simply fantastic! ! !
In addition to the beautiful house with everything you need for a vacation to feel at home, there is the indescribable peace in your village.
If you expect highlife here. . . . you will be disappointed! We wanted to disconnect and exactly THAT happened here! Of course, we also explored the Saarland, a wonderful spot on Earth! ! Away from the main roads, every nature lover's heart skips a beat here in Saarland! And every motorcyclist is recommended to visit! Not to forget our hosts!! We thank you BOTH very much! Super Ferienhaus

The house is located in a residential area. We found the house and its amenities fantastic, nothing was missing. The garden by the house is large, parking is not a problem. The landlords are very nice people, and the cleanliness of the house is worth mentioning. There is a lot to see in the surrounding area, and the landlords have extensive, up-to-date brochure material in the house. All in all, we felt very comfortable with two teenagers and can highly recommend this accommodation.

Great holiday!

We felt very comfortable in this house and relaxed very well. The welcome was very warm. The house was even more beautiful from the outside and inside than depicted on the internet. We didn't miss anything, which is why we have already booked our 2nd stay this year.
