Our Eifelhaus is a modern holiday home that was created from a 19th century farmhouse that was completely renovated and refurbished in 2012/2013
It has a very large living room with an integrated kitchen, which is open right up to the roof and which immediately enchants every visitor with its architecture. This is not only due to the massive quarry stone walls in the living area, which can be illuminated in the evening, but also due to the over 4-metre-high glass elements to the south terrace with a fantastic view of the Eifel landscape and the seemingly endless Eifel sky above.
Four individually designed double bedrooms (one of which has a large sofa bed) and one shower bathroom each on the lower and upper floors offer space for up to 8 people
The living room opens onto a large south-facing terrace. The open kitchen is equipped with all the necessary kitchen appliances, with a dishwasher and double sink integrated into a free-standing kitchen unit.
The living room and the bathroom in the basement are heated with central underfloor heating, all other rooms with central radiators. In winter and in the transitional periods, the living room can be additionally heated with a wood stove
There is a washing machine in the bathroom in the basement; laundry can be dried at any time in the fresh Eifel air in the carport next door.

Our holiday home is located on the edge of the Dahlem-Baasem district and offers a fantastic view of the hilly Eifel landscape with meadows and pastures
Shopping facilities and restaurants can be found in the nearby village of Stadtkyll as well as in the romantic village of Kronenburg. With its medieval gates, the neat old houses, the ring wall, the old administration building and the castle, the old village centre is a special tourist attraction.
About 3 km away, the beautifully situated Kronenburg reservoir offers opportunities for swimming at the beach and boating. The small Eifel village of Baasem in the German-Belgian Nature Park looks back on a history of more than 1000 years. As early as 867, the village was mentioned in a document as "Basenheim".
The local church is worth seeing; around 1510, the existing single-nave hall church was expanded into the two-nave late Gothic hall church that exists today.

Our holiday home can be reached by Deutsche Bahn via Dahlem station from Cologne or Trier (journey time approx. 2.5 hours each way; onward journey by taxi).
The minimum number of nights over the Easter holidays is 7 nights.
Our double rooms are equipped as follows:
Room 1 (upper floor) - double bed, consoles with bedside lamps, wardrobe, chairs
Room 2 (upper floor) - 2 single beds, bedside tables (wooden blocks), floor lamp, chest of drawers, clothes rack
Room 1 (basement) - double bed (2.00m x 1.60m) consoles with bedside lamps, wardrobe, chair
Room 2 (basement) - double sofa bed (2.00m x 1.60m) consoles with bedside lamps, wardrobe, chairs
Booking conditions:
Deposit on conclusion of contract -> 20%
Balance 10 days before arrival
Deposit (200 Euro) due 10 days before arrival; refund immediately after stay

Beautiful, large, and well-equipped house in a quiet, beautiful environment.
We greatly enjoyed our short vacation in this holiday home. The owners welcomed us upon arrival and provided the necessary information. Well-maintained house with all the necessary facilities. Beautiful garden. Ideal for a quiet family vacation.

With three teens in the Eifel
For two weeks of summer vacation in the Eifel with three teenagers, a good accommodation is very important. The Eifelhaus Brenk was perfect for this - sufficient retreat options for everyone both in the house and in the large garden, modern amenities combined with nostalgic items (e.g. record player), an overall feeling of well-being like at home.
We will remember our game nights (Skyo, Monopoly) in the open living area very fondly. The house as a starting point offers several opportunities for hikes ("Eifelspuren," "Eifelschleifen") in the immediate vicinity, but also in the surrounding area. Along the way, there is always a shopping option.

Perfect holiday home
We can recommend this house 100 percent. We were 2 adults and 2 children -18 years and 15 years-
We lacked nothing; you can tell that the owners sometimes live in the house themselves. There were enough dishes, household items, spices, books, and games available. Sufficient seating inside as well as on the terrace and in the garden offered plenty of space to linger. The older child particularly liked the record player and the associated records. Those seeking peace can do nothing wrong here.
Within walking distance, there is a table tennis table, a petanque court, a chess game, and a playground, so there is something for everyone.

Short vacation
We were able to enjoy a beautiful weekend with our large family in the Eifel with the most beautiful weather. The vacation house has been lovingly restored and lives up to what the pictures promise.
