Description
Enjoy your holiday in a bright and well-kept holiday flat in a central location between the Moselle and the Eifel. With 63sqm it offers space for 1-4 persons. The flat has a balcony with a view of our large garden and the surrounding green nature.
Here you also have the opportunity to relax at the seating area in the garden pavilion with barbecue facilities and on the playground or sunbathing lawn.
Our flat has a double room and a room with a bunk bed (90x200), or a sofa bed in the living room.
In the living room there is a sofa bed (3,2,1). The sofa bed can be easily converted into a 160x200 bed. The living room is also equipped with a flat screen SAT/TV, radio with CD player and board games.
The separate kitchen with dining area has sufficient crockery, an electric cooker with ceramic hob and oven, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, egg boiler and microwave.
The flat also has a spacious bathroom with shower/WC/urinal and large washbasin, hairdryer, toilet and shower
Free WLAN is available on request.
You will find a parking space for your car directly in front of our house.
You can store your bicycles in a locked room.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring pets. Smoking is not permitted in the flat.
Our prices include bed linen, hand towels, shower towels and kitchen towels.
When you move into the flat, an initial supply of soap, toilet paper and washing-up liquid is provided.
Altrich, with approx. 1800 inhabitants, is situated on a hill in the beautiful Lieser valley, 4 km south of our shopping town Wittlich.
Only a few minutes walk from us is a bakery with a small café and a small assortment of groceries. In the centre of the village, a guesthouse with a beer garden is open for you at the weekend
Beautiful paths around the village and nearby forest invite you to go hiking, walking, cycling or walking.
The Lieserpfad, for example, also leads past the edge of the village. The Maare-Mosel cycle path and the next stop of the cycle bus are easy to reach via the Altrich-Wittlich cycle path.

Location and surroundings of object
Wittlich and surroundings
Numerous shopping facilities, cafés, ice-cream parlours and museums make the district town of Wittlich, 4km away, the first address for our holidaymakers. Here you can also take a dip in the Vitellius adventure pool with its 65m slide or play a few holes on the mini-golf course. Also worth experiencing is the medieval history of Wittlich with its numerous buildings in the old town and the Säubrenner saga. Karting offers fun racing for young and old.
Between Wittlich and Wittlich-Wengerohr is the St. Paul motorway and cycle path church. From here you can hike to the nearby Sterenbachsee lake. The reservoir is used by fishing clubs but also for sporting activities. Unfortunately, swimming is not possible there. The lake is a good starting point for exploring cycling or hiking trails in the Wittlich valley. The remains of a Roman villa can be visited between Wittlich and Altrich.
Eifel
Our holiday region combines the Moselle valley of the Middle Moselle wine-growing region, characterised by vines on steep slopes, with the hilly landscape and crater lakes (maars) of the Eifel. The Eifel is Germany's youngest volcanic area.
The maars are a magnet for anglers, swimmers, divers and hikers. Scenic paths lead around the maars and connect them with each other. In the "Maarmuseum" in Manderscheid and in the "Vulkanmuseeum" in Daun, the history of the maars is brought closer to you. Modern media are used to show how the earth has developed and to show nature from its most exciting side. The cold water geyser in Wallenborn is also a special feature of the Eifel worth seeing.
Eltz Castle near Münstermaifeld is one of the most beautiful and best preserved castles in Germany. The Nürburgring, the "Green Hell", is famous among racing fans. The Nürburg, which towers above it and gives it its name, is also worth a visit. In Bitburg you can visit the Bitburger Markenerlebniswelt (Bitburger brand experience world) and go ice skating in the ice rink in winter or skating or climbing in summer.
By car you can go on safari in the Daun Game and Adventure Park for animal enthusiasts big and small. The "Eifelpark Gondorf" with over 200 animals, great attractions and summer toboggan run is also a very popular destination for the whole family.
The nearby Himmerod Monastery (founded in 1134/35) is also worth a visit. It is located in the valley of the Salm and adjoins a restaurant. You can also visit the monastery shop and fishery.
Adventure hiking is offered by the "Teufelsschlucht" (Devil's Gorge) in the Southern Eifel Nature Park or the Butzerbachtal valley. The trails are an adventure for the whole family. Here you go through deep rock crevices, over suspension bridges, ladders and stones or sometimes right through the middle of the stream.
Moselle
Our holiday resort Altrich is situated in the immediate vicinity of the beautiful Lieser valley and only 13 km away from the Moselle town of Bernkastel-Kues. With its numerous half-timbered houses in the old town, it is one of the most popular places on the Moselle. A footpath or little train takes you to Landshut Castle with its magnificent view of the Moselle valley. The annual Christmas market with St. Nicholas walk and night watchman tour attracts tourists from all over the world.
Traben -Trarbach offers art nouveau and Belle Époque architecture. Large underground wine cellars from the heyday of winegrowing and trade can be visited. Every year during the Advent weekends, the large underground Moselle Wine Night Market takes place here. You can also spend time there in the thermal baths or playing mini-golf. The spa town of Bad Bertrich also offers a wellness experience in a class of its own with the Volcanic Eifel Spa
Further down the Moselle in Koblenz, Germany's first tricable aerial cableway takes you across the Rhine to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Here you can enjoy an unforgettable view of the "UNESCO World Heritage" Upper Middle Rhine Valley. The "German Corner" with the equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm is an attraction for tourists from all over the world. This is where the Moselle flows into the Rhine.
The oldest city in Germany, Trier, is a magnet for visitors with its unique buildings such as the city's landmark, the Porta Nigra, the amphitheatre, the Barbara and Kaiserthermen Baths, the cathedral with the Liebfrauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) and the Rhineland Regional Museum.
Or take a detour to the idyllic small town of Saarburg with its 20-metre-high waterfall, the Birds of Prey Park and the castle complex.
Hunsrück
The richly forested Hunsrück with its highest mountain, the Erbeskopf at 816 m, is a particularly good address for winter sports enthusiasts. But even without snow, the Erbeskopf guarantees an eventful excursion with its climbing garden and summer toboggan run.
On the way on the Gemstone Road you will reach Idar-Oberstein with its famous gemstone museum. The landmark is the rock church.

Very well-maintained, spacious holiday apartment
A vacation apartment that can be recommended without reservation. Cosy furnishings and very clean. Very nice, inviting garden with a small playground for children, comfortable seating areas, and space for grilling, everything you need for a good rest. The hostess is very accommodating and helpful, also provides good tips on what beautiful things can be discovered in the region. We spent a few lovely days in Altrich. Thank you.

Quiet and clean and friendly
It was very good to be there. Very clean and quiet and a beautiful view of the garden and the end of the afternoon sun on the balcony. Children can also play in the garden. Mrs. Mies gave good information about the area and where one can park well. We recommend this vacation apartment.

Really great!
The house is located in a quiet village, centrally located to many beautiful and interesting sights, with nice playgrounds nearby for the little ones.
The house itself is amazing! Everything was there and more. You can also use the beautiful garden with swing, slide, and sandbox.
The description in the advertisement is completely accurate. The hostess is incredibly friendly and knows everything about the area. We were pleasantly surprised with this house. So clean and tidy and so complete. Highly recommended!

Great accommodation
Very good holiday apartment. Very clean and well-maintained, everything is available. Quiet and cozy. Balcony with great views. Very nice landlady who always gives good tips for hiking. Overall, five stars absolutely deserved.

Great starting point for many discoveries
The holiday flat is an excellent starting point for many beautiful excursions to the Moselle, the Eifel, Trier, Luxembourg and Saarland. Everything could be reached in a short time by car. The flat is spotlessly clean, very well equipped and offers peace and quiet and a relaxing view of the countryside, with large windows and a balcony. In addition, the hosts are extremely nice and accommodating. We had a wonderful holiday all round.
