Felt very good!

As a central starting point for our day trips, the holiday apartment had a perfect location - shopping facilities nearby, beach within a 10-minute walk, adventure exhibitions in Bremerhaven within half an hour - in short, everything that belongs to a holiday can be found in close proximity (Your very detailed guest folder very much inspired us in planning day trips - thank you very much). The vacation rental is comfortably furnished and has everything you need to make sunny and rainy days as a family a highlight. Everything was clean and tidy and lovingly prepared. Mrs. Möbius welcomed us warmly and the key handover worked perfectly. In the apartment, all technical facilities are explained in great detail and there were no unanswered questions. We had a great time here and did a lot of activities - for which we were grateful for the free tickets to the zoo, the Phänomenta, and the boat trip to the seal banks, which helped to save money during our vacation. We also enjoyed using the swimming pool in the evening, which was free for all guests of the resort. We overall felt very comfortable here and have no suggestions for improvement. Therefore, we will gladly recommend the holiday apartment and would book it again at any time if needed.

Very nice holiday flat over 2 floors, everything available, fully equipped kitchen.
The flat is very nice and it is only a few minutes walk to the centre of Duhnen and also to the dyke and the beach. The flat was clean, the beds made and towels available, as booked. We have already recommended it to others.

Leave everything as it is.

We were very pleased with the inclusive services such as boat trips, zoo visits, and the visit to the Phänomenta in Bremerhaven, which we also enjoyed. The bicycles provided by the house served us well. The way to the bakery could thus be covered in the shortest time.
The holiday location and surroundings were wonderfully chosen by you. The kitchen is fully equipped, and nothing was missing. The guest care and cleanliness of the apartment were to our full satisfaction. We have already recommended your website to many friends and acquaintances and will definitely book with you again. We are already considering Kühlungsborn. Anything else I might write would be complaining at too high a level. Therefore, my conclusion: leave everything as it is.

There were no wishes left open

Actually, we liked everything, the location, the facilities...We have nothing negative to report, everything was as we imagined it. The flat was very clean and the handover of the keys went smoothly. We will definitely be back. Tip: Everyone should definitely visit the zoo in Bremerhaven, simply fantastic!!! We went on the Weser cruise afterwards, it was a perfect day all round. The restaurants are all to be recommended, we enjoyed them everywhere.

As if the landlord was just briefly gone...

Top equipment, cozy, and everything one needs for daily needs. A feeling as if the landlord was briefly not there and left one's own four walls.
Duhnen is a nice place with good shopping opportunities and restaurants, all easily reachable on foot from the vacation rental. Many leisure activities, also in the nearby area. We felt very comfortable here.
Furthermore, the vacation rental was clean and the guest caretaker was always reachable by phone. A comprehensive briefing was not necessary, as we had already received good information about the apartment and the location via email in advance. There is also a guest folder in the apartment where everything can be found. Overall, I can recommend this vacation rental.

5*-Familienurlaub

We, that is my husband, our 1-year-old son, our 3-year-old daughter, and I, were in Cuxhaven on the North Sea for the first time - and we will definitely come back. Why? The Strandperle vacation rental is perfect for a family vacation, especially because of the spaciousness of the apartment. The master bedroom is huge, so even two baby cribs would easily fit in. In addition to a baby bed (Hauck travel cot), there is also a high chair for children, so you don't need to bring either from home. The way to the beach is short and easily accessible with a stroller, just like the beach promenade. For slightly older children, there is a playground at the house and also a beautiful meadow. Our little ones also loved the zoo and boat trips, especially the tour to see the seals. Thanks for a wonderful time!

What a perfect accommodation!

Due to Corona, we couldn't explore the world this year, so we stayed in Germany. This time we went to Duhnen, on the North Sea. We were extremely lucky with our accommodation. Due to a last-minute cancellation, we got to enjoy the Strandperle. Super well-designed apartment, bedroom downstairs always cool despite the heat outside. Very good, firm mattresses with good sleeping zones. Very high-quality massage chair, dartboard, games, TV, videos, console for gaming, well-equipped kitchen, 2 bikes, 1 beach chair . . . . and 3 very cool extras that came with the apartment: Free boat trip to the seal banks, entry to an "experimental laboratory," and free entry to the zoo in Bremerhaven. We have never experienced anything like this before: Extremely cool and highly recommended. The detailed description of activities in the area and restaurant recommendations were also great. We will definitely come back.

North Sea holiday instead of Canaries

Instead of the Canary Islands, we went to the North Sea again this year, to Cuxhaven, where we spent seven great days on holiday. The beach chair, the harbour tour and, of course, the zoo entrance fee were a big plus for our two teenage girls, as were the "amazing" massage chair, the good beds, the fully equipped flat and, as a highlight, our mudflat ride with an overnight stay on the island of Neuwerk. Thanks to the Christ family and the local guest service for a very nice time!

Lots included and a truly appealing vacation rental.

An important reason for our choice was the numerous inclusive services and a spacious holiday apartment, especially with a small child. That's why we chose the holiday apartment of the Christ family. There we had enough space to store the stroller and beach toys, and also plenty of room in the apartment for various belongings. We hardly used the many facilities in the apartment, but we very much enjoyed the beautiful playground right next to the house - and the massage chair. :) Naturally also the beach chair, a boat trip to the seal banks, a boat trip through the different ports in Cuxhaven, and a visit to the Zoo am Meer in Bremerhaven, which were all included for us and therefore a nice relief for the vacation budget. We highly recommend the vacation rental to families with children (no matter how small or big).

We always enjoy spending our summer vacation in Cuxhaven, especially for running in the beautiful mudflats or for a trip to Helgoland (to replenish the duty-free spirits and tobacco supplies. . . ;-)). This year, we also visited Bremerhaven and Bremen. The holiday apartment Strandperle was an ideal starting point for us in every way, as we could quickly reach everywhere by car and also get to the town center and beach within a few minutes on foot. Beautiful vacation week in Duhnen

Before the trip, we were already very kindly and extensively informed, the handover of the apartment keys took place directly at the property, and overall we felt well informed thanks to the internal holiday section of the Christ family - which is a kind of digital guest directory - as well as the printed information folder available. We had a great vacation at the "Strandperle", with plenty of dishes and cutlery, many entertainment options (billiards, air hockey, darts, PlayStation, and DVDs), and overall well-maintained, comfortable facilities. The short distance to the beach and all important shops, as well as the private parking spot, rounded off a very nice vacation week for us.

Happy to do it again!

We love going to the North Sea and especially to Cuxhaven, as we simply love the long beach, the heath, the Wernerwald, and of course the sea. The vacation rental "Strandperle" was an ideal starting point for us, as everything was quickly accessible by car (without traffic) or on foot (just a few minutes to the center). The vacation rental is also very spacious for a vacation rental, so there was enough room for the five of us. Everywhere, there are windows that can be opened wide when needed, and insect screens in the bedrooms. Adjustable slatted frames and good mattresses ensured a restful sleep, and the overall furnishings of the apartment were of good to high quality, well-maintained, and thoughtful. How to get home

Duhnen always feels like coming home to us – even if we haven't spent a vacation there for several years. The Beach Pearl holiday apartment of the Christ family is very tastefully furnished, well-maintained, and of course, it also has some highlights with the steam shower, massage chair, and fireplace. We also used the swimming pool and Finnish sauna, but unfortunately didn't manage to visit the zoo and the Phänomenta for free, as we just walked on the beach too often... :-) So we have two good reasons to travel back to Cuxhaven soon.

A perfectly round affair :)

A big thank you for the nice communication before the vacation with Mrs. Christ and with the lady from the rental service upon arrival. The holiday apartment "Strandperle" is clean, well-maintained - simply feel-good. We found everything as described and photographed here - and had a really nice time. By the way, we can highly recommend Bremerhaven and Otterndorf for excursions, especially the Klimahaus and the Emigration Center in Bremerhaven, both only a good half hour away by car. The many good (fish) restaurants in Duhnen and Cuxhaven-Stadt (especially in the port area) finally made our vacation "complete" for us. :)

Cuxhaven and vacation rental: both absolutely recommendable.

This time, our destination for the winter vacation was Cuxhaven, where we had been a few years ago. The beach, mudflats, and sea were just as beautiful as before, but the town has seen some changes: there is now a continuous, many kilometers long, barrier-free beach promenade that is perfect for walking even with a wheelchair or stroller - always overlooking the sea. There is also a larger supermarket, a discount store, as well as various other shops and restaurants directly in Duhnen, so we mostly left our car and explored everything on foot - even in January, almost all shops and restaurants were open. A highlight in the apartment was, of course, the massage chair and the swimming pool. We felt completely comfortable and would love to be your guests again.

Played and well rested

We took long walks on the beach, enjoyed spending time in the Wernerwald forest, visited Bremerhaven and the Klimahaus, and otherwise played, played, played. We played with our own cards and board games, as well as with the games available in the holiday apartment and the facility: table tennis, darts, of course at the playground and in the swimming pool. Cozy, well-maintained, successful - and nice contact.

As a senior traveling alone, a quiet apartment and proximity to the town center are always very important to me. Both were provided with this apartment. I also value a cozy, clean, and well-maintained apartment, as I do not want to feel like I am staying in an impersonal hotel room. The welcome and instruction by the guest manager, Mrs. Möbius, was just as positive as the phone contact with Mrs. Christ beforehand. Many hints and personal tips in the guest folder made the selection difficult for me on-site, but also sweetened the holiday week with successful ideas. After long walks on the beach and on the dike, I enjoyed swimming a few laps in the pool or relaxing in the sauna during my (solo) stay. Thanks for a successful stay!

The Schuhmann family enters *****.

Finding suitable accommodation for us and our three children is not always easy. For larger families, we can confidently recommend the Strandperle vacation apartment owned by the Christ family. While the bathroom may not be excessively large, the apartment itself is all the more spacious. Both bedrooms are very generous for a vacation rental, as is the living, dining, and kitchen area. The multimedia equipment is, of course, invaluable for families in bad weather, so we were very happy to use the PlayStation and the electronic dartboard, as well as the pool table. We can also recommend the Zoo am Meer in Bremerhaven, where admission is free for guests of the apartment. The Windstärke 10 Museum in Cuxhaven is also worth a visit. After some beautiful holiday days, it was unfortunately time to say goodbye - but not forever, as we would love to come back! :-)

Arrived!

After a few years on the Baltic Sea, we missed "our" North Sea a little bit. The good, salty air, the rougher sea, the large ships, and of course the mudflats, where we enjoyed walking for a long time again. Our booked beach pearl was truly a gem, as it was close to the beach, very spacious, and excellently equipped for a holiday. A four-poster bed, a massage chair, a fireplace, a steam bath. Where else can you find something like this in a vacation rental? Great. We will definitely return to Cuxhaven in the future. We have now found our domicile.

Very diverse and varied surroundings - and also vacation apartment.

We were in the mudflats and on the beach, in the heath and the Wernerwald forest, in Bremerhaven (Zoo by the Sea, Phänomenta, Climate House, Emigration Center), and of course on the beach promenade at the Kugelbake. In short: We thoroughly explored and enjoyed Cuxhaven and its surroundings, as well as the lovingly furnished and well-equipped vacation rental "Strandperle." Wellness vacation at the North Sea.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the North Sea, which was entirely dedicated to wellness. The swimming pool, the Finnish sauna (90 degrees), the large steam bath in the facility, the private steam shower in the holiday apartment, the massage chair, and also the fireplace were therefore extensively used by us. We can highly recommend the Duhner Ahoi wave pool with warm salt water, the large sauna area, and wellness treatments, especially since it follows the Thalasso concept and is located directly by the sea (with a view of the North Sea). The holiday apartment had everything we needed (and even a bit more), was clean and well-maintained, so we had a great vacation. Thank you very much!

Good sleep = beautiful vacation

A lot has already been said about Cuxhaven - not without reason Cuxhaven is one of the most popular vacation spots in Germany. The associated seaside resort Duhnen is the most elegant and offers numerous shops and restaurants, so you don't necessarily have to rely on a car, which is also due to the central location of the vacation rental Strandperle. The vacation rental is very clean and well-maintained, creates a pleasant atmosphere, and is also very thoughtfully furnished. We highly appreciated the high-quality mattresses and bed frames as well as the shutters, as this is very important to us but unfortunately something we often had to go without in many other accommodations. Apart from the swimming pool, we did not avail ourselves of any additional services, but still thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We would love to come back in the summer and are already looking forward to our personal beach chair. :-)

A big thank you in advance that it was still possible at short notice to book this charming holiday apartment, which we were very lucky to find, especially since it is not that easy to find a suitable holiday apartment for 4 adults and 2 children. Of course, with a bathroom that is not overly large, compromises must be made, which is somehow part of a vacation. Nevertheless, we all had enough space, everyone had their own little corner and comfort zone. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and saunas, being pampered by the massage chair, and also paid a visit to the Zoo by the sea in Bremerhaven (thank you for that as well). As well-rested travelers, we then started our vacation after a week and would love to come back again.

Very relaxing in a well-equipped apartment.

The description doesn't promise too much. Everything is as described, very cozy and homely. The massage chair is great, the beds wonderful. The sauna and swimming pool were perfect to use even in stormy January, and everything there is very pleasant. Well heated, all clean, and very well explained. A tip for all sauna lovers: bring 50-cent coins. Heating the sauna for 15 minutes costs 50 cents in a coin slot, which is enough for each sauna session. Temperature self-regulating.
The location is great, not far from the beach, perfect for morning or late evening walks right next to the field.
Everything your heart desires is within walking distance.
We can only recommend the accommodation!

Lovely Cuxland vacation :)

Thank you for some nice vacation days in Cuxhaven. We found a lovingly furnished holiday apartment that offered us a lot of space and variety (air hockey, table tennis, billiards, Playstation), which my husband and older sons enjoyed. I made myself comfortable in the apartment with our little one, lit the fireplace, had a massage in the armchair, or read. Almost every day, we also went to the beach either towards Sahlenburg or towards Kugelbake, enjoying the view of the sea and the ships. Unfortunately, this time we didn't make it to the island Neuwerk. We will make up for it on our next stay. Also very worth seeing were the small Christmas market after the holidays at Duhner Strand and a trip to the charming Otterndorf on the Elbe.

Very nice Christmas vacation at the North Sea

The very nice phone contact was followed by extensive travel documents with numerous tips and on-site a loving introduction by Mrs. Möbius. The Strandperle holiday apartment presented itself surprisingly spacious and roomy on site, so we felt "at home" from the beginning. Thanks to the cozy living area, the fully equipped kitchen, and the high-quality sleeping areas, the "basics" were well fulfilled, complemented by the great extras such as the steam bath, massage chair, and dart game, which were very useful for us. We also enjoyed using the sauna (where we were usually the only visitors) and the swimming pool, as well as the bakery Itjen and the butcher shop Seidel for some indulgences. But you’re allowed to treat yourself during the Christmas season after all, right? ;-) By the way, we highly recommend the romantic Christmas market at Ritzebüttel Castle and the Zoo by the Sea in Bremerhaven, which is also open in winter and where guests of the Strandperle holiday apartment get free entry. We will definitely come back. Promise!

We had everything we needed, plus a little more.

After a longer break, it was time for us to visit the North Sea again. To walk on the beach in wind and weather, to have a cup of tea overlooking the sea, and then to return to a cozy holiday apartment, to read a book by the fireplace or go to the swimming pool or sauna. That was how our late autumn holiday was supposed to be this year. And except for the weather, which was sometimes more severe than expected, everything turned out as planned. We were fortunate to be able to vacation in the very well-kept, well thought-out, and cozy holiday apartment "Strandperle," where we lacked nothing - on the contrary. A warm welcome on site, detailed guest information, a welcome drink upon arrival, a clean, very nice holiday apartment, wellness facilities for every taste (steambath, sauna, swimming pool, massage), along with a central and very quiet location and a lively village center that houses numerous shops, souvenir stores, and good, child-friendly restaurants. Our first holiday together as a threesome was deliberately meant to have a not too long journey, which is why we chose Duhnen. Thanks to the well-developed beach promenade, we were able to take long walks without any problems, even with prams, and we also found very toddler-friendly restaurants. The Strandperle holiday flat is lovingly furnished and easy to live in even with a baby. The bathroom is certainly normal sized for a holiday flat, but of course smaller than you are used to at home. The sleeping and living areas are on two levels. But neither was a problem for us. On the contrary. Because of the location of the bedrooms (with outside shutters), our whole family could sleep very well - at least until the little one was hungry. Then I could sit with him in the living room and my husband didn't notice any of the usual morning screaming. :) Overall, the flat is bright and friendly and very comfortably furnished. In return for taking care of my baby in the morning, it was my husband's turn in the afternoon, so I could enjoy the sauna and swimming pool in the complex, which I had completely to myself every time. Especially practical for parents of small children: take the baby/child on your lap and be pampered by the massage chair. A dream... :)

Lovingly and thoughtfully furnished holiday flat in an excellent location

My husband and I simply enjoyed our holiday. Since we are no longer the youngest, a centrally located accommodation was important to us, but we did not want to stay in the middle of the often hectic hustle and bustle. The location of the Christ family's holiday flat was therefore ideal for us, as we did not have to walk long to the centre of the village and to the beach, but had our peace and quiet in the evening and slept in heavenly peace in the four-poster bed. The massage chair - which I didn't really dare to use at first - was also a blessing and is now on our own wish list for home. The flat is lovingly and comfortably furnished, well maintained and well thought out. We enjoyed our holiday very much and would like to thank you once again for the two free boat trips, which were one of the highlights of our holiday.

Thumbs up from the men's round

Once a year, we four older boys go on tour - this time we went to the seaside resort of Duhnen in the coastal town of Cuxhaven. Since I chose the destination this year, I am even happier that we all enjoyed it very much. The Strandperle holiday flat was very clean, had excellent kitchen facilities (yes, at least some men like to cook...) and we lacked for nothing else. Thanks to the good weather, we were even able to go for a walk on the mudflats, otherwise we went for a long walk on the beach and then looked forward to the swimming pool, sauna and a beer. By the way, we can highly recommend the bar at Hotel Am Meer, where live music is often played. If we ever decide to come back to Cuxhaven again, we will gladly return to this holiday flat.

Very nice holiday flat

Years ago I was in Duhnen with my parents, now again with my own family. A lot has changed (the new beach promenade, many new shops and bakeries), but the tried and tested and memories have also remained (e.g. the Seidel butcher's shop, the Itjen bakery, the Capri ice cream parlour and the Italian restaurant on the beach). Thanks to the location of the Strandperle holiday flat, we could reach everything quickly and felt very comfortable in our own four walls in the evenings. The swimming pool and bicycles also contributed to our holiday enjoyment and the beach chair anyway. So it won't be so long until our next visit to Duhnen - and we will be happy to stay again at the Strandperle" of the Christ family

Unfortunately much too short

Unfortunately, our holiday with you was far too short, so we were only able to take advantage of a fraction of the services offered. We went swimming, on the massage chair (simply "divine"... ;-)), sat in the beach chair and took part in the boat trip to the seal banks. Unfortunately, there was not enough time for more. We'll make up for it on our next holiday with you... ;-) The Strandperle holiday flat also convinced us, especially with its spaciousness. Since the bedrooms are located one level below the living area, 4 or more people can easily get out of the way, there is enough space to store suitcases etc. and especially the bedroom with the double bed (where the massage chair is also located) is really unusually spacious for a holiday flat. Everything else is neat and tip-top. Thank you and see you soon.

Great extra services and a top location

With the visit to the Phänomenta and the zoo in Bremerhaven, the two boat trips and the stay in the beach chair, we made extensive use of the extra services and everything worked out perfectly. More often we also made trips with the two bicycles to Sahlenburg or to the Alte Liebe. By the way, there are two bicycle shops not far from the holiday flat where you can rent more bikes. All in all, we really enjoyed the location of the holiday flat, as it borders on nature - unfortunately unlike most houses - and is really absolutely quiet, but you can still get to the centre of town and the beach within a few minutes' walk. As a restaurant, we can especially recommend the Nord Stuv restaurant (approx. 5 minutes on foot).

Catch-up honeymoon in a special holiday flat

Since we unfortunately had to forego our honeymoon last year, we now made up for it in the "Strandperle" and discovered that we were not the first "honeymooners" in this holiday flat. Perhaps this is due to the romantic bedroom with its four-poster bed. :-) All in all, the holiday flat is not luxurious, but for a holiday flat it is of a very high quality and very comfortably furnished, garnished with some special features. Our personal highlight was the seemingly brand new massage chair, from which my husband didn't want to get up. I then used the steam bath during this time. :-) We also went for long walks on the dyke and along the nature trails towards Sahlenburg with our dog, of course, just like a trip to Bremerhaven and Otterndorf. Thank you so much for letting us spend our special "honeymoon days" in this special holiday flat.

Empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung

Cuxhaven is probably one of the most popular holiday destinations in North Rhine-Westphalia, so we don't need to explain it to anyone. We saw several cars from North Rhine-Westphalia on site. Since we are not as good on foot anymore, we looked for a centrally located holiday apartment. However, we did not want to be right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Therefore, we chose the Strandperle. The steps in the apartment were not a problem for us, and the way to the center of Duhnen and the beach was not far. We gladly used the beach chair provided by the owners. We also took advantage of the harbor tour and the boat trip to see the seals (both depart directly from Cuxhaven city, not from the district of Duhnen as there is only a beach area there, not a boat dock). The holiday apartment was clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the massage chair served me well. It was a very nice vacation in a highly recommended vacation rental.

A very nice vacation at the North Sea

Even though the journey from Thuringia always takes 5 to 6 hours for us, we regularly enjoy visiting the German North or East Sea coast. This time, we went to Cuxhaven for the second time. A few years ago we were in Sahlenburg, now in Duhnen. Duhnen is also the significantly larger, more modern, and more exclusive North Sea resort, while still offering a variety of down-to-earth restaurants and shops for families with children. The holiday apartment "Strandperle" is almost perfect for a family vacation: spacious, with an intelligent room layout for living and sleeping areas, a modern kitchen, a large living and relaxation area, direct proximity to nature, yet very central, and numerous indoor entertainment options, especially in bad weather. Highlights for us were not only the swimming pool and table tennis room but also the large family steam bath and the massage chair in the holiday apartment. Since our children are still too young, in the evenings the parents had exciting competitions at the dartboard and the air hockey table. Meanwhile, the children had a great time at the zoo in Bremerhaven and on the harbor tour. Both activities were free for us. We would love to visit you again sometime!

We used the favourable time after Easter to relax a little and enjoy long walks on the beach. Every day we went to the swimming pool, which we often even had to ourselves, and to the sauna several times. And we also enjoyed using our own steam bath. Thank you for the tickets to the zoo by the sea and for the harbour tour. We can highly recommend both with children. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time for the boat trip to the seals. We'll make plans for that next time, as we'll be back soon. We promise.

Toller erster Familienurlaub

Our first vacation as a family of three took us to Cuxhaven/Duhnen to the "Strandperle," as we were looking for a holiday apartment that promised plenty of space. Although the bathroom was rather small, as is typical for most holiday apartments, the master bedroom was so spacious that we could easily set up the baby travel cot and still have enough room to move around. The living area was also quite spacious, allowing us to keep an eye on our little Mia at all times. We really enjoyed the cozy evenings either in front of the TV or the fireplace, and also the soothing massages in the massage chair. Mia was still too small for the swimming pool, so we have a good reason to visit the vacation apartment again soon.

We come again

As we didn't want to travel too far, we decided to spend our North Sea holiday in Cuxhaven again after a few years, more precisely in the North Sea resort of Duhnen. A lot has changed since our last visit: a new beach promenade, many good restaurants and an excellent infrastructure. It was particularly positive that almost all shops and restaurants were open in spring. This is not the case everywhere and is therefore exemplary. The holiday flat is furnished to a high standard and is very cosy, so you can't help but feel at home straight away. It will certainly not be too long before our next holiday in Duhnen.

Beach pearl? Beach pearl!!!

We are true wanderlust vacationers, traveling to the sea every autumn. Most often, we head to the North Sea, whether in Denmark, Germany, or the Netherlands. This year, we were guests in Duhnen for the first time. One negative point we noticed, compared to Denmark, is the tourist tax. Unfortunately, you can't avoid it in Germany . . . On the positive side, there is an incredibly diverse range of restaurants, fresh fish stands (fish sandwiches, yum . . . ) and the rest of the infrastructure. In bad weather, we went to the Duhner Wave Pool Ahoy, which is of course a paradise for children. For parents whose children insist on forcing them into the Black Hole slide, however, sometimes less. . . . The holiday apartment "Strandperle" truly lived up to its name, offering a paradise for children with swimming pool, billiards, table tennis, air hockey, darts, and Playstation (and therefore also for parents), as well as sauna, steam bath, massage chair, and a short walk to the beach and town center for the parents. Next year, we will likely visit the Netherlands again, to Duhnen, but we will certainly come back to the Strandperle at some point.

Ideal room layout and many amenities offer a comfortable living experience.

Since we are traveling with six people (two adults, two children, one baby, one small terrier mix), we need space on vacation - and meaningful activities for everyone. This holiday apartment perfectly met both conditions in an ideal way. With the apartment spanning two levels, the living and sleeping areas are well separated. Just right for when someone wants to lie down, while others still want to watch TV or play. At this point, there was a bit of stress in other vacation rentals where all rooms are directly audible next to each other. ;-) During the day, children can play well in the lower sleeping area while parents, baby, and dog can sit comfortably in the upper living area, reading, dozing, and enjoying the fireplace, which surprisingly worked easily for us laymen thanks to the ethanol burner. Otherwise, we enjoyed the many amenities and also used the free tickets for the zoo and the boat tour to see the seals very happily. And our youngest could even make his first tentative swimming movements in the pool, which we often had to ourselves. It was a beautiful time that we like to remember, surely also when we think about booking our summer vacation in the coming years.

What more could one ask for?

We had bad luck with the weather, but were lucky with our vacation rental. The basic amenities were great, things we love from home like adjustable bed bases and kitchen utensils were there, and some extra highlights like the Shiatsu massage chair, steam bath, and billiard table. What more could one ask for on vacation? Maybe also a clean vacation rental and a contact person on site who is not annoyed even when you call for the third time to ask about small things like a restaurant or excursion destinations. But both were given here as well. One more tip: Right at the end of the side street where the vacation rental "Strandperle" is located, is the Duhner center, where you can also find the bakery Sandkorn. From there, we bought 5 freshly baked rolls and also had a delicious and inexpensive breakfast there twice, as there is a small café attached. Especially on the day of departure, this was very relaxing for us.

Vacation for Enjoyment

In short: Contact with the owners, on-site briefing, cleanliness, equipment and condition of the apartment, location: all to our satisfaction. We would only wish for a slightly larger TV. The TV in the holiday apartment is quite normal in size, but if you have a real large screen at home, you need to get used to a different scale again. But that is really a complaint on a high level. Internet and steam shower worked smoothly, the massage chair also served us well, and we enjoyed the swimming pool every day.

Location and facilities excellent

Back from the far North. We let the sea air blow right into our noses. At least, that's what we wanted, but then the weather was sunnier than expected, which of course also pleased us. :-) The holiday apartment is an excellent starting point for exploring the area. A few minutes' walk to the bakery, butcher, supermarket, and beach. Bremerhaven is also quickly accessible by car, as well as the port area of Cuxhaven. We made an effort to make use of all the services in the holiday apartment. We managed to do a harbor tour, visit the zoo in Bremerhaven, have an aperitif at the Seelust restaurant, as well as have a cozy fireplace evening, swim and sauna multiple times, and try out the private steam bath. We will have to postpone our visit to the Phänomenta and the trip to the seal banks (on the offered days, we already had another program), as well as playing billiards, darts, air hockey, and going on bike tours until next time. Then we will also bring our two boys who are now in school and were at grandma and grandpa's. And then billiards, darts, air hockey, and the bicycles (and probably also the video games) will definitely be thoroughly tested. ;-) Thank you for a wonderful stay in your true beach gem.

The contact with the owner was very friendly, and the key handover on site went smoothly. We found it very nice that we didn't have to pick up the key somewhere, but instead could call an hour before our arrival and then someone was already waiting for us in front of the holiday apartment. After that, we not only received spa cards and apartment keys, but also a detailed tour of the holiday apartment including instructions on how to use the massage chair and tips on where to eat well. Thank you for that! The furnishings match the pictures. Everything looks harmonious and cozy on-site as well. It was also very clean. The price-performance ratio was absolutely right, so we would love to travel back to your Beach Pearl again.

Several times in Duhnen already - Why this holiday apartment?

We have been to the North Sea and also to Duhnen several times, as the climate suits us so well, one can walk endlessly on the beach or on the dyke (or in the mud flats, in the heath, in the forest, and so on) and it is simply typical North German. Here you can get everything: for us, a delicious fish sandwich or a sailor's platter in a "regular" restaurant is enough. Two ladies with fur coats and fashionable dogs that we saw on the beach were certainly guests at the gourmet restaurant Sterneck, enjoying a menu for around 200.00 EUR. There is simply something for everyone, and that's what makes Duhnen so valuable for our vacation. But why this holiday apartment now, which was even a bit more expensive than our previous one? Because it's worth it. We didn't know that beforehand, but we hoped for it. And luckily, it turned out that way. We need space in a vacation apartment because there is nothing worse for us than small hotel rooms. In the Strandperle vacation apartment, everything is spacious (the bathroom is not, but it is also not small and is absolutely normal and sufficient for vacation apartments), especially the living area and the bedroom with the double bed. And then everything has to work. Dishwasher, television, etc. Everything is nicely set up and individually designed. Not the same style as a Swedish furniture store. The colors are coordinated and everything is designed with high quality. And then the highlight was the steam shower and massage chair. That really convinced us, as you can really relax and enjoy your vacation. We also went swimming frequently. We also visited the sauna once. Otherwise, we mostly went for walks and once to Bremerhaven to redeem our voucher for the Zoo am Meer. The zoo is not huge, but it is so beautifully made that the visit was really worth it. Conclusion: Duhnen will continue to be our destination for the fall and your accommodation will also remain our favorite in the future.

Looking for a "hybrid" - and found the wonderful holiday apartment "Strandperle."

We chose the vacation rental "Strandperle" because we were looking for something like our new drink from Beckers Best: Zwitter. It's located very close to the center of Duhnen and the beach, but it's also peaceful and not a noisy and crowded hotel. In addition, it offers amenities like a swimming pool, wellness area, steam bath, fireplace, table tennis, and pool. Such a combination is rare. On-site, there were also 2 bicycles, a harbor cruise, free entry to the zoo, an aperitif, and an experience museum (somehow we didn't know this at all, probably just overlooked it when booking, and were very happy about it). The vacation apartment was spotlessly cleaned and well-maintained and rightfully received 5 stars. Everything spacious, modern, and well thought out. We do not regret our choice and will definitely visit our "hybrid" again. As it is important to us, a brief note about the swimming pool:
By the way, the swimming pool has been recently redesigned (including the changing facilities and showers) and does not have the charm, unfortunately, of most swimming pools in Duhnen: green-brown tiles and no beautiful atmosphere. Fortunately, it was different here, so we always felt comfortable there.

Beach Pearl: The name is absolutely fitting.

The vacation apartment a true beach gem? Yes, you can really say that. We didn't miss anything. The kitchen was fully equipped, living and bedroom cozy. Our two children also felt very comfortable. We adults enjoyed the massage chair and used the steam shower. And all four of us enjoyed the swimming pool. If you want to eat well and affordably with children, you are in good hands at the Strandräuber, which is less than a 5-minute walk from the vacation rental. We also visited the Ahoi wave pool once, which is also very nice for children and a welcome change, especially in bad weather. The relaxation in this beautiful vacation rental has been very beneficial for all of us, so we can now tackle our work routine with fresh energy.

The North Sea is our second home - this time it was Cuxhaven-Duhnen.

Every year in the fall, we go to the beach. This time it was Cuxhaven's turn. Strolling along the beach in wind and weather and being able to observe ships so closely, like here in Cuxhaven, has its charm. We warmed up again in the sauna or the swimming pool. One time, we also visited the zoo by the sea, which we already knew from the ARD series. Thanks to a package deal from the owners, the entrance was free for us. Bremerhaven is also worth seeing, especially the Emigration Center, which we also visited. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit the Phänomenta (which is free for guests of the holiday apartment Strandperle) and the Climate House. Therefore, we would love to come back again, maybe even next year.

Once again in Cuxhaven-Duhnen - wonderfully relaxing!

After five years of absence, we visited Cuxhaven again, more precisely in Duhnen. In between, we were a few times at the Baltic Sea, but we simply missed the mudflats. Even in our current September vacation, not a day passed without venturing into the mudflats. Barefoot in good weather, with rubber boots in bad weather. Afterwards, we returned to our holiday apartment where we either cuddled in front of the fireplace or went for a swim in the pool. We are not necessarily sauna-goers, but we really enjoyed the steam bath in the holiday apartment. The massage chair as well. The entire apartment was lovingly and high-quality furnished. It surely won't take another five years until we visit Duhnen and probably this holiday apartment again.
