The house is fully furnished and equipped for 4 people. By using the sleeping chairs, this can be extended to a maximum of 6 persons.

Layout:
On the ground floor is the entrance with space for two bicycles and a charging station for electric bicycles. From the entrance you enter the hall with the rooms on the ground floor. One after the other, the large bathroom with double washbasin, bathtub, shower and WC. The (children's) bedroom with two single beds (box spring) and the main bedroom, also with two single beds (box spring). A cot can be placed in the main bedroom on request. Through the main bedroom you reach the garden with terrace. By means of the stairs in the entrance you reach the upper floor with the landing, 2e WC, living room with open kitchen. The living room has a TV, a radio and a CD/DVD player. The kitchen has a refrigerator and a 4-burner cooker. There is also a coffee maker, kettle, toaster and oven. From the living room you have a fantastic view of the IJsselmeer.

Please note: You cannot bring pets in the holiday home and smoking in the holiday home is also not allowed!

Location and surroundings of object

In the centre of the picturesque village of Schellinkhout and bordering the West-Friesche Ring dike, lies our holiday home with a view of the IJsselmeer (Hoornse Hop). An ideal place for an active holiday in a peaceful environment.

The holiday home is close to the bicycle junction 62 and within bicycle distance (4 km) from the historic old town of Hoorn. Behind the dike, less than 50 metres from the holiday home, is the recreation area "Uiterdijk", consisting of sunbathing and playing fields on the floodplains of the IJsselmeer. An ideal place to sunbathe, play, swim or windsurf.
Schellinkhout was created from the former peat river De Dregt. The stronger banks in the wet peat were the only places suitable for housing. The road winding through the landscape clearly shows the trace of the historical course of this river. The village is characterised by orchards, wide views and historic buildings such as the townhouse, the church and many traditional farmhouses.

In earlier times, the town of Hoorn was situated on the Zuiderzee and was the seat of trade for the Dutch East India Company (VOC). Voyages were made from the port of Hoorn to the Far East. In Hoorn you can still see the warehouses, the East India House and other traces of VOC. The West Frisian Museum shows the history of the VOC. In the port of Hoorn, the replica of the VOC ship "De Halve Maen" can be seen.
