A recommendation for relaxing!

The Farnberghütte has everything you need when you want to disconnect from everyday stress. Quiet location in nature in the heart of the Thuringian Forest. There is even a sauna on the ground floor. The host provided us with great excursion tips and was very helpful. Would love to come back and definitely recommend.

New Year's Eve week in Lichtenhain

We spent a quiet week around New Year's Eve at the Farnberghütte and felt very comfortable there. The cabin is clean, decorated with great attention to detail, and has everything you need in terms of amenities.

In the beautiful and cozy atmosphere, and thanks to Mr. Klingsporn's friendly and helpful nature, we felt valued as guests.

Shopping and restaurants are available about 2 km away, and the historical Thuringian mountain railway, which can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, even provides a connection to the railway network.

There is still a lot to do and see in the beautiful surroundings, so we would love to come back sometime.

Super nice, cozy cabin to relax

Cabin in the idyll of the Thuringian Forest. Very clean, well-maintained and well-equipped. Everything you need can be found in the kitchen. Towels, enough blankets also available for the sauna. Pellet stove creates a very cozy atmosphere. The sauna in the basement is the icing on the cake, of course.
The landlord is super nice, uncomplicated, helpful and has great tips for excursions. The possibilities are absolutely diverse in the vicinity. Hikes possible directly from the cabin. We liked it very much!!

Dreamlike beautiful

A wonderful holiday in the Thuringian Forest. Very scenic area, beautiful views and, if desired, challenging hiking and cycling tours possible. The mountain railway and branch lines in Lichtenhain are a nice attraction and worth a trip. There are good places to stop for refreshments in the neighbouring villages. You will find friendly and helpful local people
The accommodation is beautiful, very cosy, nothing is missing. You feel at home.
There is a sauna to relax in and you can enjoy nature in the garden in peace and quiet. Mr. Klingsporn was right there on arrival and gave us a friendly introduction to the cottage. The landlord gave us tips for excursions and places of interest straight away.
We can highly recommend the Farnberghütte and think back to a wonderful holiday.

Pure nature

We were repeat holidaymakers in this, for us perfect, "cottage". As before, everything you need for a longer holiday was there. The location is a dream for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. The stars are within reach, nothing disturbs the concert of the grasshoppers.
For hiking on the well-maintained and hardly frequented hiking trails, it is best to use the Bahnwochencard with the accompanying book and thus hardly need the car
A big thank you to Mr Klingsporn for the friendly welcome and his, as always worthwhile, tips for excursions
We will definitely be back and say goodbye until then.

Ausgezeichnete Unterkunft

We had a very pleasant time in Mr. Ingo's apartment. Mr. Ingo welcomed us warmly and showed us many excursion options. The apartment/cabin is secluded, and one feels alone in the world. The apartment was well equipped for 2 people. We hiked a lot and cycled. Luckily, we had e-bikes because with our regular Dutch bikes, we probably would have given up ;-) We hope to come back again for sure!

Highly recommended!

We are repeat offenders and have been to this beautiful spot for the second time this year. While we live in a similarly rural area in the Hochwald privately, it is still a wonderful opportunity to switch off from everyday stress and relax in this cozy, modernly furnished cabin with a nice feel-good atmosphere. The cabin is located below the small village with a wonderful view into pure nature, you can start various hikes from there and actually don't need a car. One can take the mountain railway (station is a few minutes from the cabin) or the Schwarzatal railway. After a great hike, you can also use the well-maintained sauna integrated in the house and relax outside afterwards. The holiday apartment contains everything you need for a short stay and is very well-maintained. The landlord and his family are also very nice and uncomplicated and had good tips for activities that we were happy to try out. Good value for money! We will gladly come back!

Wunderschöner Urlaub

We spent a wonderful week in July with our Bernese Mountain Dog in this great holiday home. We lacked nothing, the landlord was super nice, arrival and departure uncomplicated. The house with the great garden was absolutely perfect. Very quiet, ideal for relaxing and yet central for activities or shopping. The sauna area looks great. All in all, a perfect holiday.

Romantisch erholt

Relaxing for a few days as a couple is very easy here. The cabin is equipped with everything you need for your stay on a small area. The attention to detail is immediately noticeable and creates a cozy atmosphere. A special bonus: the sauna - even though we didn't use it during our visit, we felt its presence was the icing on the cake. Upon arrival, we inquired about local restaurants and excursion destinations as well as those in the surrounding area - all recommendations were spot on. We especially enjoyed the trip to the Werraquell Hut in Masserberg. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break and can highly recommend the romantic Farnberghütte.

Any time gladly again!

We booked the accommodation for the peace and quiet. This was more than fulfilled.

Overall, we were more than satisfied with the accommodation and felt extremely comfortable. Particularly outstanding were the good mattresses and the pleasant duvet. So, we didn't only sleep well because of the heavenly peace.

The kitchen facilities are very good. There is everything from the usual coffee machine to the toaster to the hand blender, really everything one could wish for. The house is sparkling clean (which, as us Swabians know, is quite important) and the bathroom is perfectly equipped. The shower is spacious enough for two people, and the sauna on the lower floor is highly recommended.
Not only did the check-in go smoothly, but the farewell was also very pleasant and friendly.
For those who love hiking, there are plenty of options here. Such deserted paths and untouched nature are rare. For culture enthusiasts, Weimar is truly a must-see! We would gladly return at any time, and we are already planning another week in this little house for next year! In short: Optimal price-performance ratio with a feel-good factor! Thank you very much!

Wellness Oasis

We had a dream vacation at the Farnberghütte. This "cabin" is a gem and has been furnished with great attention to detail. Nothing is missing and what is there is of high quality.
A big thank you to Mr. Klingsporn for his advice and support. He genuinely cares about the well-being of his guests.
Combined with the 7-day mountain railway ticket and the accompanying book, our car also had a vacation. All hiking trails were perfectly marked. Many thanks again for allowing us to visit with our Aaron.

Lovingly furnished cabin in a wonderful landscape

We spent three days in mid-April at the Farnberghütte and look back with joy on our time there. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the luxury in the cozy cabin. It is ideal for two people and had everything we needed. We could start our hikes directly from the cabin - the landlord also gave us tips which we gratefully followed. In the evenings, we could relax in the sauna and by the fireplace. We always enjoy going to the Thuringian Forest - this area has a special appeal for active hikers, as there are many steep ascents to conquer, of course, there are also less challenging paths. We will gladly come back. Especially recommended for couples in love, engaged, and married young and young-at-heart hikers who want to enjoy togetherness. But of course, this beautiful holiday home is also a real oasis of well-being for solo travelers. Thank you to Mr. Klingsporn for a fantastic time in Lichtenhain/Oberweißbach.

Holiday Farnberghütte

A dream holiday home !!!
The beautiful pictures had already raised our expectations and were exceeded on site. Very well maintained, super clean, modern and attractively furnished. Immediately absolute feel-good factor !!! The house is situated on a large, fenced plot in the middle of the greenery. Very quiet location, but not secluded. It is a 5-minute walk to the mountain railway. Excursions and hikes are possible directly from the holiday home. Various seating options allow sunbathing all day. A barbecue is also available. The contact with the landlord was very friendly, obliging and smooth. It doesn't get any better than this. If you are looking for peace and quiet, to relax away from it all, this is the place for you. 100% recommendation !!!

Unique!

Because we had already taken the cosy Farnberghütte to our hearts 2 years ago and spent a wonderful holiday here, we really wanted to find this peace and relaxation in Thuringia again. With great spring weather and the wonderful backdrop of blossoming fruit trees and immediate forests, we succeeded perfectly. And happily on foot, we were also able to discover new wonderful hiking trails and have by no means seen everything yet - we are already looking forward to the next time!

Undisturbed holiday

Tolle Hütte

We had a great time in the Thuringian Forest. In the surrounding area, there are numerous hiking trails. For railway enthusiasts, a ride on the mountain railway (stop about 5 minutes from the cabin) is a must! After all the exertion, the sauna in the evening is a dream. The cabin offers enough space for two people. If you enjoy cooking, there is also plenty of room for that.
All arrangements with our landlord worked out fine. Anytime again.

Off to the idyll!

A small spot on earth to unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break. The cabin itself is picturesque on the slope and is very modern inside, tastefully coordinated! Besides a stove, the kitchen is fully equipped, we didn't miss anything. Beautiful hiking trails right outside the door, hiking maps, and all kinds of useful information can be found in the cabin itself. And the landlord... very friendly with many tips on activities and the surrounding area. Highly recommended, we would love to come again!

Small but excellent

This cabin is the ideal love nest for couples of all ages or just to relax. The surroundings offer something for every taste: lots of hiking, winter sports, fun, wellness, and romance. The gastronomy in the area is top-notch! From bowling to candlelight dinners, everything is possible and affordable. Peace and relaxation in the heart of Thuringia - ideal for hiking

Lovingly furnished and very well-equipped cottage on the edge of the forest, where we felt very comfortable because of the peace and tasteful decor.
The small garden and the terrace with a view of nature also significantly contributed to our well-being.
Mr. Klingsporn is a very pleasant landlord, whose tips for hikes and activities in the area were very helpful.

Fantastic days at the Farnberghütte

We had the great luck/pleasure, as city dwellers looking for a romantic cabin in the mountains/forests, to discover the Farnberghütte through this portal!

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the Klingsporn family. Our special thanks go to Ingo Klingsporn, who was extremely nice and helpful, providing us with plenty of tips on hiking trails and leisure activities. The cabin is modernly furnished, top equipped, absolutely clean, and not to forget, wonderfully romantic!

It is simply a dream to end a day full of hiking with a glass of wine in front of the fireplace with a blazing flame and a view of the forest. THANK YOU!

We can and will definitely recommend the Farnberghütte and will come back for sure. (hopefully with much more snow next time ;-) )

We had the pleasure of renting this beautiful cabin for a few days! Everything was perfect, from the friendly landlord, the ideal location of the cabin, the beautiful and numerous recreational opportunities, to the top-equipped cabin with absolute attention to detail and perfect cleanliness! Simply wonderful

Eine Hütte zum Wohlfühlen

Everything was just perfect in this cabin!

We spent a short vacation (4 days) at the Farnberghütte and were absolutely thrilled.
The cabin is beautiful and very clean, the entire furnishings are new, and there are all sorts of extras that you wouldn't expect in a 'simple' cabin in the woods :-) Whether it's the modern bathroom, the terrace with an electric shutter, the underfloor heating, etc. . . Our dog was greeted with dog pillows and treats, which we had never experienced before :-)
The landlord is really nice and gave us many tips for hiking and dining (Steakhouse !!).
We only realized how beautiful the surroundings were when we left because we were engulfed in fog before that ;-) But nobody could help it - at least we had snow! Furthermore, you can enjoy bad weather in front of the cozy cabin fireplace. . . All in all, we highly recommend this cottage and are already considering when we can come back :-)
