The holiday flat offers space for 4 people with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, a living-dining room with kitchenette, Danish fireplace. A cot can be added. From the living room, you can go out onto the clinker-brick west-facing terrace with a rustic seating area. For the children's fun there is a sandbox, a swing and a hammock
On the property there are two more holiday houses and two more holiday flats, all on the ground floor around an artrium-like inner garden (see our homepage)
The holiday homes and flats are given a special touch by original paintings by Gerhard Rubow. In his paintings - oil, watercolour and pastel - he captures the North German landscapes bathed in contrasting light.

The two holiday homes and three holiday flats are all at ground level on a plot of approx. 3000 sqm in the countryside on the edge of the small town of Garding, approx. 7 minutes' walk to the town centre. The property is gardened and planted with terraces, garden areas for sunbathing, barbecuing and playing and a private parking space on the property.
From Garding you can quickly reach the North Sea - about 5 km to Vollerwiek in the south, about 10 to 12 km to St. Peter-Ording on the sandbanks in the west and about 12 km to Westerhever to the famous lighthouse in the north.
Garding is a small rural town, the centre of the Eiderstedt North Sea peninsula. In the town you will find good shopping facilities, restaurants and a popular weekly market with a musicians' market in the evening. An extensive network of hiking and cycling trails invites you to make excursions along the dikes and through the marshland. Nearby and farther afield, the Wadden Sea National Park, the Eider Barrier with the Katinger Watt recreational landscape, the canals in Friedrichstadt, boat trips from the Eider Barrier, mudflat walks with expert guides, kite surfing, and trips to Helgoland and the Hallig
The Wadden Sea is a World Heritage Site and has been voted Germany's most beautiful natural wonder.

Actually a beautiful vacation apartment.
A vacation apartment with potential, it is fundamentally nice. However, we were quite disappointed. The living room that transitions into the kitchen with dining area is visually appealing but marred by cracks in the masonry and ceiling. The bathroom was nicely renovated a few years ago but was very unclean. The rest of the apartment is quite worn out. The cleanliness of the rest of the apartment is hardly acceptable. The floors were still partially sandy. Spiders in every corner, the inventory of the cabinets partially dirty. What is the €60 for the final cleaning paid for? There were more things to complain about. I sent everything with photos in an email to the contact details one hour after moving in, asking for feedback. Unfortunately, there was no response.

Liebe Feriengäste, wir sind schockiert. Ihre Nachricht, die Sie gleich nach Einzug an uns geschickt haben, hat uns nicht erreicht. Andernfalls hätten wir sofort den Reinigungsservice aufgefordert, Abhilfe zu schaffen. Nach Rücksprache hat sich herausgestellt, dass die Reinigung vor Einzug versäumt wurde, sie ist im Silvestertrubel untergegangen. Das Entgelt für die Endreinigung haben wir Ihnen inzwischen erstattet. Wir bitten höflichst um Nachsicht und grüßen aus Hamburg. Ihre Vermieter Heide und Gerhard Rubow
We, Heide and Gerhard Rubow, inherited the property from our parents and developed it as a holiday home. We live in Hamburg ourselves, but come to Garding as often as we can to welcome our guests and look after things, especially the garden and the plants in the courtyard.
