Pure relaxation
If you just want to switch off, without cars, without stress, without noise, without hustle and bustle and without compromise, then you have found what you are looking for. Here, in an exclusive location in the landscape conservation area to the west of the Mecklenburg Lake District, you can relax without restriction on an idyllic private beach and enjoy your well-deserved holiday with a generous helping of nature.
Your 2-person holiday home (4-person holiday on request) is surrounded by greenery and, despite its remoteness, is only a 15-minute drive from the state capital Schwerin. There is only one other house on the lakefront property, which is about 1500 square metres. The landlady lives there and can be contacted at any time. The holiday home was renovated and furnished with much love and creativity only a few years ago. The holiday home owes its special "charm" to its largely private use.
The surrounding nature is also enchanting. The region is a paradise for cyclists, horse lovers, anglers, hikers and water sports enthusiasts. And culture fans will be thrilled by cities like Schwerin or Wismar. Even the Baltic Sea and the Baltic islands with their snow-white sandy beaches are only a stone's throw away.
Relaxation holiday:
If you prefer it a little quieter, you are welcome to use the jetty and pavilion to barbecue or start the day with a hearty breakfast. You can then spend the evening cosily in front of the fireplace or be entertained by one of the many cinema films. If you are looking for spa and wellness, you can pamper yourself in Basthorst Castle, which is only a few kilometres away.
Active holiday:
Or set off on your own canoe tour directly from the house and experience an adventurous journey from lake to lake. Sporty holidaymakers can enjoy various leisure activities such as swimming, sailing, surfing, water skiing, wake boarding, diving, skiing & snowboarding, inline skating, tennis, table tennis, badminton or volleyball.
Holidays with dogs:
No dog owner wants to spend the best time of the year without a dog. As an owner, you will know that dogs need plenty of exercise. On the large fenced-in property, your four-legged friend can romp around at will and enjoy his stay with us just as much as you do. Even in the fully tiled holiday home with underfloor heating, your dog can move around freely. The fine sandy bathing area not only invites you to chase sticks, but also provides the desired refreshment in the cool water during warm temperatures. The surrounding nature with its forest and meadows invites you to explore and mark your territory. For a relaxing holiday with your dog, you have come to the right place.
Fishing holiday:
Fishing enthusiasts get their money's worth. The surrounding lakes are home to many pike, carp, tench, chub, pike-perch, perch, rainbow trout, eel and various species of white fish. With the house's own canoe boat, you can reach the particularly fish-rich Pinnow Lake, which is one of the cleanest and largest surrounding lakes. Especially from the two islands in the lake, you can enjoy first-class fishing. Daily and weekly fishing permits (including night fishing) can be purchased at the fishing shop just five minutes away.
Fireside holidays:
Whether in winter or on cool summer nights: There is nothing more cosy than ending an eventful day of your holiday with a glass of red wine in front of the crackling fireplace. This way you can enjoy romantic and peaceful evenings for two with classic board games or a good book. We not only provide you with the firewood, but are also happy to explain all the tricks of the trade so that you can sit comfortably by the warming fire. All those who are a bit romantically inclined will certainly not have to think twice about a holiday in a holiday home with a fireplace.

Location and surroundings of object
Your accommodation is located in a small village with beautiful lakes and forests, in the immediate vicinity of the state capital Schwerin and yet in the heart of the nature of the Mecklenburg lake landscape (landscape conservation area, nature park). There are a total of only 4 residential buildings on this lake. Peace and relaxation in this idyllic forest and lake location with great lake views are therefore guaranteed. The somewhat larger Pinnow Lake is unparalleled in terms of water quality (drinking water extraction area) and is beautifully embedded in a wooded valley with its islands. There are numerous bathing opportunities for a wide variety of needs, from wide flat beaches for children to nudist beaches and secluded coves on one of the islands.
The proximity to the "City of the Seven Lakes", Schwerin with its fairytale castle, also offers numerous cultural activities. You can reach the Baltic Sea in just 35 minutes and from there it is a stone's throw to the island of Poel off the coast of Wismar. We are also happy to provide excursion and tour tips. Detailed information and maps are also available for you on site. In the village:

| Between March and November, rentals are exclusively on a weekly basis. Sunday is the day of arrival and departure. Your pet is welcome to stay with us. All prices include water, electricity, firewood, use of boat, bicycle rental, parking space, toddler bed and high chair. Only the electricity is charged according to consumption and on the basis of the electricity meter in the holiday home with 70ct / kWh on departure. Please bring your own bed linen (2x 135 x 200) and towels. Bed linen, hand and bath towels are not provided. A weekly discount is granted if the adjoining 2-person holiday flat is rented additionally for another 2 persons. Please ask for discount prices. We never rent out both holiday flats at the same time to separate holiday guests. Your undisturbed peace and quiet is therefore guaranteed. The information on the conditions for renting on our website is only a seasonal price overview and not a concrete rental offer. Cancellation terms:
Free cancellation possible up to 90 days before the arrival date.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you travel cancellation insurance. You should purchase it yourself if you prefer to travel with peace of mind in case of cancellation, delayed start, or interruption of your trip. We can only promise that in the event of a cancellation, we will always try our best to find a replacement booking. If we are able to do so, we will credit your deposit towards a future booking with us. If no replacement booking is found, cancellation fees usually amount to 90% of the total booking price, as stated by law for private rentals. However, we find this rule to be excessive, so our cancellation fees are graded as follows: - Up to 49 days before the rental starts: amount of the deposit - Up to 35 days before the rental starts: 40% of the rental price - Up to 21 days before the rental starts: 70% of the rental price - Until 1 day before the rental starts: 90% of the rental price Based on our experience, we can tell you that there is a very high probability of finding a replacement booking in the months of June through September up to four weeks before arrival.

This is how we imagined our vacation.
We spent a few wonderful days in your small cottage by the lake. It was a paradise for our son (12). He could paddle and fish. Our four-legged friend also enjoyed it. And we adults enjoyed the peace and the landscape, reading on the jetty and having a glass of wine.

A successful family holiday

Spring at Mühlensee can hardly be more beautiful!
Great location, super clean accommodation, and absolutely nice and friendly landlords! Here you can fish in peace and simply watch nature. We especially loved the sunrise over the lake. Just fantastic... a repeat visit is definitely in the cards!

Great holiday home for water lovers with a guarantee of relaxation
We have now spent our second vacation in this holiday home. We mainly come here for the peace and quiet. But fishing is also enjoyable when you just have to open the door. For us as water enthusiasts, it's simply the perfect combination. Next year, then number 3, if Inge has something available for us.

Ideal holiday home for dogs and their owners
For our spring vacation, we give 10 out of 5 stars. The hostess is very friendly. Key collection is uncomplicated. Accommodation is top-notch, very well-kept, and well-equipped. The surroundings are incredibly quiet and pure nature. Great run for the dogs. We will gladly come back and can highly recommend this holiday home to dog owners. Congratulations on this gem!
