Location and surroundings of object
The quiet location and the proximity to the numerous leisure activities in Winterberg and the surrounding area make our holiday apartment the perfect starting point for your vacation in the Sauerland. Our house is situated in a quiet area, away from through traffic.
It takes 5 minutes by car to reach Winterberg town center, or you can use the free public transport throughout the Hochsauerland district with your guest card.
The statutory visitor’s tax is charged separately: currently EUR 2.50 per person/day, from July 1, 2026 – EUR 3.00 per person/day. , Children under 16 years are free of charge.
The Sauerland has something to offer in every season!
In winter: skiing, alpine or cross-country, snowboarding or snowshoe hiking, tobogganing or simply enjoying the landscape and the ski lodges on the cleared hiking trails. The Altastenberg ski carousel is about 300 m from our house, the Winterberg ski arena as well as the bobsleigh track can be reached in about 5 minutes by car, or you can use the free ski bus. From spring to autumn, hiking enthusiasts get their money’s worth, mountain bikers meet in the bike park or explore the surroundings on other cycling paths.
Water skiing enthusiasts can also prove their skills nearby at Lake Hillebach.
For children, the Sauerland offers plenty of variety: Fort Fun amusement park, Panorama Park, Winnetou/Karl May Festival in Elspe, the summer toboggan run, and other attractions at the Kappe Adventure Mountain in Winterberg. Here in the district of Altastenberg is the mega zipline Astenkick.
