The 34-kilometer-long Flensburg Fjord is considered one of the most beautiful water sports areas in the Baltic Sea and offers ideal conditions for sailors, surfers, and water sports enthusiasts. Sailing can be learned in one of the many sailing clubs or at the Hanseatic Yacht School in Glücksburg. Berths are available in club-owned marinas, the idyllic guest sailor harbor, or other marinas. Around the Holnis peninsula, surfers will find suitable spots for almost any wind direction, and diving clubs invite visitors to explore the underwater world. Of course, the fjord can also be enjoyed from land: Fine sandy beaches and clean seawater on both shores invite swimming and relaxation. Watching the boats go by or lingering in one of the many street cafés, you'll quickly experience the special Flensburg holiday atmosphere. Flensburg's old town is also worth a visit. Very nicely furnished, kitchen exceptionally well equipped. A car is recommended, as for example, no bakery or supermarket is within walking distance. Towels must be brought along, overall very positive impression!
