Discover the charming holiday flat "Witte Hahn" in picturesque Flensburg! This cosy accommodation offers 47 square metres of space for up to 3 guests. The flat is furnished with much love.
In the modern kitchen you will find all the amenities you need to prepare your favourite meals, such as a microwave, kettle and coffee maker, as well as many other things you won't necessarily find in other holiday flats. A quiet, cosy bedroom ensures a restful sleep. A washing machine, iron and hairdryer are also available to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A cot is available for the smallest guests if you would like one.
The flat has free Wi-Fi so you can always stay connected to the outside world. Please note that this accommodation is for non-smokers only.
The Witte Hahn holiday flat (= Low German for white rooster, our family coat of arms) is located in Flensburg's oldest quarter, the Johannisviertel. Once there was a fishing settlement here, which was so important as early as the 12th century that a church was built here, which still stands today.
The house in which the holiday flat is located can be traced back to 1698.
Although it is only about 5 minutes to the city centre or the harbour, it is very quiet here. You wake up to birdsong and hear the water lapping.
A courtyard square, designed in 2009 and awarded a prize by the city of Flensburg, invites you to linger.
Since the flat is right next to my holiday flat Lütt Matten, it is wonderfully suitable for holidays with friends or a somewhat larger family. You can do everything together, but you also have your own place of retreat. The entrance doors are only about 3 m apart.

Unfortunately, most people only know Flensburg from the points. But anyone who has ever been here knows that there is much more to it.
Flensburg, for example, is characterised by an eventful history.
Flensburg received its town charter as early as 1284. It is an old harbour and merchant town whose historic buildings have been well preserved and restored in part. Both Danish and German influence have left their mark.
Flensburg became famous for its rum, the production of which was of great economic importance for Flensburg until the 19th century.
But very good beer is also brewed here, because we have fantastic water quality.
The landscape is shaped by the glaciers of the Ice Age and thus offers an environment that is really worth seeing.
Several beaches can be reached in no time.
Denmark is also just "around the corner" (= approx. 5 km away).

By train: You can continue by taxi or take bus line 1 to the Zob. This is only a 3-minute walk from the holiday flat. Just cross the pedestrian tunnel that leads through the railway embankment and walk along Augustastraße to the end. You are already standing in front of the house with your holiday flat.
By car: The holiday flats are located in a traffic-free zone. Your navigation system will guide you safely there.

Cozy, uncomplicated, and super conveniently located
We really enjoyed our stay in the holiday apartment Lütt Matten in Flensburg! The communication with the host was uncomplicated and warm. With a small child and a dog, we felt completely comfortable – the apartment is simple but well-equipped, everything you need was there. The personal tips from the host about restaurants and excursion destinations were especially helpful. The location is ideal: in just a few minutes you are at the harbor, and shopping options are just around the corner. We can definitely recommend the accommodation and would be happy to return!

A small, beautifully furnished holiday apartment where you can really feel at home when you're not on an excursion. The paths to the city center and the harbor are very short. And there is a lot to discover, both on land and on water. The surroundings are beautiful and invite great bike tours. We would love to come back.

an apartment to feel good
We felt very comfortable in this apartment. There is a very well-equipped kitchen, games for a nice evening, or books if you want to read in peace.
The proximity to the city is fantastic. And the surroundings were beautiful as well. Thank you for the lovely time.

Very nice vacation rental
Very friendly landlady. Central location, everything is within walking distance. The underground garage is great, as the streets are very narrow and there are hardly any parking options for a longer period of time. We can only recommend this. The apartment is more than well equipped. Cozy and very quiet. We would love to come back.
