Location and surroundings of object

Flensburg's townscape has been characterised by the eventful history of Schleswig-Holstein under the Danish crown and German rulers. Danish culture and lifestyle are still present today. From the holiday flat it is a 5-minute walk to the pedestrian zone with its merchants' yards and shopping facilities. A large number of nearby restaurants and pubs offer their hospitality here. The historic harbour is only a few metres away. The Flensburg Fjord is one of the most beautiful sailing areas and its charming landscape invites you to enjoy a variety of excursions. The unspoilt Geltinger Birk with its wild horses or the Holnis peninsula are just a few examples. There are also numerous interesting excursions in the surrounding area, for example to the historic Viking trading centre of Haithabu, to the west coast for a mudflat hike or to the Nolde Museum. Denmark is only a few kilometres away.

Welcome to Flensburg. As "Flensburgers by choice", whose profession or education brought us to Flensburg more than four decades ago, we appreciate the quality of life in Flensburg, the German-Danish flair and the fjord with its surrounding charming landscape. As we were professionally orientated towards the maritime world, work in the historic maritime environment on a voluntary basis and live right next to the Captain's House, we can give you helpful tips for your stay if required.
