WILLINGEN/Upland in the DIEMELSEE NATURE PARK: Four-season vacation in the most visited holiday resort of the Central Uplands. Willingen (550-843 m) is a climatic health resort & winter sports resort; its wide range of leisure activities is unique in Germany, which is why Willingen, with its slogan "Everything I want," is equally popular with young and old.

The apartment is located in Wakenfeld in the settlement before Musenberge! The Wakenfeld is located exactly between Willingen and Usseln and is considered the "mountain pass" in the Upland. Meadows, forest, and the Upland nature with beautiful hiking trails begin directly behind the house. Nearby are the Skywalk, Mühlenkopfschanze, cross-country ski trails, and the biathlon arena.
The Upland is also called the "Allgäu of the North" because of its meadow hills and intensive dairy farming. In winter, Usseln has two ski lifts with snowmaking and floodlights, numerous cross-country trails (only 400m from the Maisonette-Traum holiday apartment), and the EWF Biathlon Arena (Olympic training center with a 2km floodlit snow-covered trail; in summer, an asphalt skating trail).

Other leisure activities in the area:
Summer beach bathing at Lake Diemel; for hikers, Willingen with Europe's largest high heath and eight 800-meter peaks is the top destination in the Sauerland. Ettelsberg-Hochheideturm – the highest viewpoint in Northwest Germany. Bike park with World Cup downhill course.
Ski area Willingen – one of the top low mountain range ski areas; 15km of slopes, 6km of floodlit slopes, 11 lifts, >90 snow cannons, 80km of cross-country trails. Not only is the après-ski legendary, Saturday Night Fever is here all year round! The highlight is the World Cup ski jumping!
