Located directly at the edge of the forest, a magnificent panoramic view opens up over fields, meadows, valleys, and forests – reaching all the way into the Taunus. Winden is a small local community in the Nassau Nature Park, in Rhineland-Palatinate.
Anyone who appreciates peace and enjoys being out in dreamlike nature comes to Winden!
Surrounded by the Westerwald, with a view towards the Taunus, at an elevation of 400m...
All around are forests and meadows, distant views, green hills and valleys!
There is hardly any car traffic here, but all the more hiking and cycling paths, small streams, ponds, and even a swimming lake about 15 km away. Here you can hear the birds chirping and experience deer, squirrels, and other forest inhabitants up close.
Numerous horses, cows, goats, and sheep stand on the meadows around the village.
Directly from our little country cottage, you can start your hikes or bike tours in all four directions.
With the dog, you can go straight into the forest or across wide meadows.
Ideal riding trails are available for riders. A golf course in Bad Ems, a wildlife and leisure park, a bathing lake, a visit to a castle,
a canoe trip on the Lahn, . . . . these are just a few activities that will enrich your vacation.
Make your break complete and visit the thermal baths in Bad Ems (20 min) with Germany’s first riverside sauna.

Then Koblenz and the Deutsches Eck offer just the right thing for you.
The Rhineland with Cologne and Bonn can be reached in about 1 hour. The Rhine-Main area (Frankfurt) is also only about an hour's drive away.
