Location and surroundings of object
This holiday villa is located a 3-minute walk from the beach, idyllically situated by a canal in the beautiful Beach Resort Makkum—one of the most beautiful holiday parks in the Netherlands!
At the Beach Resort and in the immediate vicinity, there are numerous recreational opportunities, such as windsurfing, kiting, paddling, SUP, cycling and boating, or sailing. On the spacious and nature-oriented grounds of the Beach Resort, there are also mini golf, table tennis, indoor play options, a fitness center, and several playgrounds. Shopping opportunities are available in Makkum (3 km) and within walking distance is the beach promenade with restaurants, café, and shops as well as a small Spar supermarket near Marina Makkum.
Directly adjacent is a large nature reserve on one side, and on the other, a spacious off-leash area for dogs with their own swimming spot. From October to mid-April, dogs are also allowed on the beach.
Trips are worthwhile, for example, to the Frisian cities or the islands. to the seal banks, to the nearby towns of Hindeloopen, Harlingen, and Bolsward. You can reach the North Sea with the Wadden Sea by car in about 10 minutes. Also worth seeing is the 32 km long closing dam that separates the North Sea from the Ijsselmeer.
Enjoy the natural environment of a mature infrastructure that is in harmony with nature and the expansiveness of the Ijsselmeer.

Perfect for man and dog
Beautiful, quiet holiday home with a direct view of the Ijsselmeer. Especially dog-friendly. Very clean, very well equipped, and absolutely relaxing. Only a few minutes from the beach and not far to the promenade either. Communication with the host is very straightforward and quick and very friendly. Absolutely recommended, I would love to come back ?

We - Matthias, our four-legged friend Henry and I - love this beautiful and special corner of the world. "The comfy cottage-on-sea" and the Beach Resort Makkum are our retreat, happy place and favourite home office location.
