Cozy and homely central accommodation near salty baths Welcome to this cozy and homely cozy cottage with annex located in the charming coastal idyll and fishing village of Grundsund on Skaftölandet. The long and narrow community is divided by a canal that separates Skaftö from the small island of Ösö. Along the canal are picturesque boathouses and piers from different eras. Here you will find professional fishermen where you can buy fresh fish, shrimp and crabs directly from the boats. At Östra kajen, a new promenade has been built, a long pier to Skäddhålan and which then continues in a hiking trail to Vigene bathing area which is also your cottage's bathing areas within walking distance. This cozy coastal community, with its beautiful villas and sea-splashed piers is popular in many ways, including large parts of the popular TV series Saltön were filmed here. There are several bathing areas in the area for cooling baths, sand between your toes and relaxation on the sun-warmed rocks. Experience the archipelago by, for example, renting a kayak or going on a seal safari or hiking on coastal roads and paths. Via a footpath with stairs you reach this nicely renovated cottage with its annex. The cottage is located high up with a view of Grundsund's fishing village. From the natural plot you walk a few meters up to the top of the mountain and from there you have a panoramic view of the sea, archipelago and picturesque Grundsund. On the inside of the cottage's entrance you are greeted by a hall that leads further into the kitchen with stove, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and dishwasher, dining area, living room with wonderfully comfortable sofa group and a warming wood-burning stove. Bathroom with underfloor heating, shower, washing machine and dryer. From the hall a staircase leads up to the second floor with two nice bedrooms with double beds and a living room. From one of the bedrooms double doors lead out to a small balcony with an incomparable view of Grundsund, the living room also has a small balcony with a view of the sea and the mountain plateau outside. From the kitchen, patio doors lead out to the surrounding patio areas and annex with a bedroom with a double bed and a toilet. On one of the patio areas there is summer furniture and a barbecue, a lovely place for good conversation while you grill a good piece of food with something tasty in your glass. From the cottage you can also easily make day trips to other places worth visiting on Skaftö or Havets Hus in Lysekil, Nordens Ark, Smögen, Kungshamn or other fishing and boat communities in northern Bohuslän. The idyllic island of Bassholmen with its museum of traditional boats is also well worth a visit. Welcome to a wonderful holiday in Grundsund!
