A warm atmosphere welcomes you to the cozy furnished house, which we affectionately call "our nest". Especially nature lovers, those seeking peace, or hiking enthusiasts will enjoy it.
Discover the charming holiday home "Nest am See" in Gillenfeld in the Volcanic Eifel and experience a vacation in picturesque nature. This idyllically located domicile offers 90 square meters of space for up to 7 guests. The open-plan living-dining area features a wood stove that completes the cozy atmosphere with a view across the terrace to the wooded crater rim. The country-style kitchen is extensively equipped.
There are two bedrooms with double beds, each with smaller bedrooms branching off, located on the first floor as well as a small toilet. A children's crib can be set up upon request. The dresser in the nursery folds down into a changing table. On the ground floor, there is also a utility room with a washing machine and dryer. In the garden house in the terrace and garden area, you will find garden furniture, a grill, and a fire bowl. There is a lot of space around the house. Children are allowed to play, romp, and be loud here. The house is heated with a wood stove or infrared heating panels. We produce the electricity for that ourselves.

The house is located directly on the rim of the Pulvermaar crater. Gillenfeld is the nearest village (2km), where you can find all shops for daily needs (supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, gas station, bank, a cozy Irish pub, and a quaint barn-café, etc.).
By car: A1, exit Mehren, turn right onto B421 towards Cochem/Zell/Mosel, after about 6 km turn left to Strotzbüsch, then right towards Gillenfeld, follow the signs for Pulvermaar. Turn right in 5km towards Gillenfeld, after 300m pay attention to the signs "Ferienpark" or "Strohballenhaus" and turn left. Address for navigation: Hinter'm Pulvermaar 14, 54558 Gillenfeld.
By bus and train: To Cochem train station, then by bus to Gillenfeld/Ellscheid.
