Description
Welcome to Ferienhaus am Sorpesee, your cosy retreat in Sundern-Amecke. This detached, fully fenced holiday home offers space for up to 4 guests.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the balcony or terrace with a fantastic view of the Sauerland mountains, fields and meadows.
A table and 4 chairs are available on the covered terrace, where you can enjoy a cosy breakfast or coffee.
The property is completely fenced in so that your children or your favourite four-legged friend can play undisturbed.
You can easily park your car in the car park provided.
Inside the house you will find a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, egg cooker, pots, pans and all the utensils you need to set the table.
The kitchen is open-plan with an adjoining dining area.
There is a TV and free WiFi in the living room for your entertainment, and you can make yourself comfortable on the large sofa with a book from the book corner.
A pellet stove is available for cooler days, which provides cosy warmth and emphasises the cosiness.
An air heat pump is installed for heating.
The bathroom was newly renovated in 2024 and offers you a shower, washbasin with vanity unit, an illuminated mirror cabinet and underfloor heating.
On cooler days, or e.g. after a long hike, you can use the infrared sauna, which is located in the basement area and has an adjoining shower room.
There is also a darts room in the basement, where you can start an exciting darts tournament.
Please note that the holiday home is a non-smoking house.
The surrounding landscape is characterised by green meadows, fields and forests with extensive hiking and cycling trails and of course the Sorpesee lake with numerous sports facilities, a lido and many restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy a delicious meal.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located in Sundern-Amecke, the Sorpeseevorstaubecken with its air adventure trail and the Sorpe with the landing stage of the "Weiße Flotte" can be reached on foot in a few minutes.
The air adventure trail is a beautifully laid out path around the Vorstaubecken with many stations for your senses, playgrounds for your children, benches and places to stop for refreshments.
The White Fleet sails regularly across the lake from the end of March, according to a timetable. There are also a number of events on the boat that you can attend.
From the holiday home you can enjoy countless hiking and cycling trails, or just go for a short walk.
There are many sporting opportunities on Lake Sorpe and in the surrounding area, e.g: Hiking, cycling, canoeing, stand up paddle, inline skating, diving (diving school on site), swimming, climbing in the climbing garden, horse riding, playing golf (Schloss Amecke), karting (Neheim / indoor kart track), skiing and sledging in the "Wilde Wiese" ski area.
To name just a few excursion destinations: the Balver Höhle (largest cultural cave in Europe with many events), Sundern with its small cosy shopping street and the Severin factory outlet, there are several caves in the area with guided tours on offer, Wocklum Castle, the Luisenhütte (museum of prehistory and early history), the Felsenmeer in Hemer and the Sauerlandpark, there are several observation towers to climb and if that's not high enough, you can also book a sightseeing flight at the air sports club in Neuenrade-Küntrop, etc., etc....
There is so much to explore that a week's holiday is not enough :-)

Up to 2 lovely dogs that do not go into the bed or onto the sofa are allowed by arrangement, we charge a one-off dog fee of 20.00 euros per dog.
Final cleaning: 80,00 Euro (please leave the holiday home in a swept clean condition)
Deposit: 200,00 Euro at the time of booking, final payment at least 4 weeks before the start of your holiday.

That's how a vacation should be.
We had a really nice vacation at the holiday home Sorpesee and felt very comfortable.
Everything you need in terms of equipment is available.
Highlights: dart room, infrared sauna, and air conditioning.
The holiday home is located in a quiet area, ideal for relaxing and recovering.
The fenced garden was also ideal for our shepherd dog Chuna.
She could really let loose there.
The terrace with the well-equipped garden furniture also invited us to linger.
All in all, it was mega and perfect. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful for relaxing
We felt very comfortable as a family with our four-legged friend. The house offers many exclusive extras, such as air conditioning, a sauna, and a large covered terrace, to name just a few. It is wonderfully quiet, and the lake can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes. Everything you need is available - we only missed a microwave. But that is "complaining at a high level!" We were not there for the last time and can highly recommend the house!

Pure relaxation
We really enjoyed the time. Our dog particularly liked the terrace; he loved sunbathing there :-). We were very pleased with the house and the amenities. The area is great for long walks. The dining options are a bit lacking, and we did miss a small corner shop. As an excursion destination, we can recommend the Heinrichshöhle - the tour there was really great and interesting. The Atta Cave also pleased us. Here, no pictures were allowed, and the tour was not quite as appealing; informative yes, but without the passion that was noticeable at the Heinrich Cave. We will definitely stop by again :-)

A wonderful holiday home.
Very clean!
We really enjoyed our short vacation.
Infrared sauna, relaxation room, beautiful large garden (our dog could really let loose),..... - exactly as described.
Very nice landlords and hassle-free contact.
The Sorpesee and the adjacent forests invite for hiking but also for relaxing.

Sauerland, worth a visit
Host mega friendly and cool
House offers a lot of freedom for the dog and the owner.
House a bit away from the lake, basically "On the slope."
Extremely quiet and relaxing.
The immediate vicinity doesn't really offer much in terms of dining.
