Lauterbach is a district of the city of Putbus and the oldest seaside resort on the island of Rügen and in Pomerania. From the Lauterbach harbor, you can experience the landscape of Rügen beyond the roads all year round, several times a day, with the steam locomotive-driven narrow-gauge railway "Rasender Roland," and reach the Baltic Sea resorts of Binz, Baabe, Sellin, and Göhren completely stress-free and without a car. During the season, the Weiße Flotte shipping company offers its popular seal tours, where guests have the opportunity to experience seals in the wild and to be actively involved in the monitoring of the animals. Boat tours and ferry connections to the Mönchgut peninsula are offered daily from 30.05. to 03.10. You can also find relaxation while taking walks through the "White City" of Putbus and the large castle park styled as an English landscape garden with its game reserve, or during hikes through the seven-hectare forest area "Goor" near Lauterbach along the Greifswalder Bodden.

We are true island children and are fortunate to have been born on this beautiful island and to be allowed to live here. We love our home because we have a little bit of everything here. We have the beach, lots of water, forests, lakes and fields, mountains (even if they are small) and flat lands. We enjoy the lively hustle and bustle of tourists every summer as much as the returning silence in the cold season. We find relaxation at home in our garden, on the beach, while sailing on the Greifswalder Bodden, and on long hikes through the diverse nature of our island. We would like to share some of our way of life with you and would be happy if you were our guests. The property is the parental farm where Jörg Engelbrecht grew up as the son of a long-established fishing family. Putbus and the district of Lauterbach have good traffic and infrastructure as well as proximity to water for local conditions. There are still active fishermen in the family, so we can make contact with them at any time if desired.
