Welcome to Meadow Magic, your holiday apartment in Rhauderfehn, BackemoRussia, Ostfriesland, North Sea. Our charming 56 square meter holiday apartment accommodates up to 3 guests. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, making it ideal for a small family or a couple.
The apartment is surrounded by a beautiful landscape with flowers, trees, and green spaces that can be enjoyed from the terrace. The garden is a perfect place to relax and have a barbecue. A parking space is available for your car. On cooler evenings, you can make yourself comfortable in front of the fireplace.
In the fully equipped kitchenette, you will find a microwave, a kettle, and a coffee machine. Bed linen is provided and there is even a crib and a high chair for our little guests. For entertainment, there is a television and free Wi-Fi. An iron and a hairdryer are also available. For active guests, bicycles are available to explore the surrounding landscape. The holiday apartment is a non-smoking apartment and long-term rentals are possible.

The node system of our region makes it easy for you to discover the Rhauderfehn community and the entire southern East Frisia. Plan your own route along the well-developed network of cycle paths and enjoy the ride through fen landscapes, moorlands, and nature reserves.
Before your tour, you can create and customize your individual route in just a few steps, according to your wishes. Whether you want to extend or shorten your bike tour, the node point system always offers a convenient way for your routing.
A special highlight: The Amdorf Bridge
Fancy a thrill? Not far from our vacation apartment is the Amdorf Bridge, the narrowest car bridge in Europe! Here, skill is required, as with a width of just 1.80 m, the Ledabrücke in Amdorf is the narrowest car bridge in Germany. This steel truss bridge, with a length of 50 m and a total width of 2.5 m, was inaugurated in June 1956. Since the bridge is single-lane, a traffic light controls the passage. It replaced an existing ferry connection since 1886, which was discontinued in winter, causing the residents to take a detour of almost 25 km.
Crossing the bridge is a must on every visit to our holiday area - but please check the width of your car beforehand! Attractions Nearby
Our vacation apartment is just 7 km from the historic city of Leer, where you can stroll through the charming alleys and experience the rich history of the region. It's only 6 km to Rhauderfehn, where you can discover the typical East Frisian fen landscape. Additionally, it is only 18 km to the Papenburg Meyer Werft, where the impressive cruise ships are built. A visit to the shipyard offers fascinating insights into the construction of these gigantic ships.
Excursions in the surrounding area
The idyllic fishing village of Ditzum is wonderfully accessible with a 30 km bike ride. This tour takes you through the beautiful East Frisian landscape and offers an unforgettable experience. Additionally, the North Sea beaches such as Norddeich and the lighthouse in Greetsiel are just a short car ride away from us. These destinations offer ideal opportunities for day trips to the sea and unforgettable experiences on the North Sea coast.

Beautiful vacation apartment
Very lovingly furnished holiday apartment that is very clean. Everything you need is there. The landlords are very friendly, reliable, and helpful. The parking space is very accessible. The bicycles are securely stored. Many cycling maps are available.

Very pleasant stay
Well-equipped holiday apartment, beautifully decorated with attention to detail. We always visit relatives nearby and also like to take trips to the North Sea, for that it is perfect. This holiday apartment serves as a place of tranquility. Surrounded by a lot of land and very quietly located. One can easily switch off from the stressful everyday life.

Super beautiful and so animal-loving?
Wonderfully beautiful and tastefully furnished, lovingly equipped. Everything you need is present, even a small greeting for the furry friend. Beautifully located in a quiet area and yet not far from all destinations in East Frisia. The hosts are super warm and always have an open ear. Would gladly come back anytime!

Backemoor is part of the state-recognized resort town Rhauderfehn. With great attention to detail, we have designed our 56 square meter vacation apartment and now wish to offer it as a sustainable and dog-friendly guest house. Our goal is to introduce you to the unique East Frisian charm and the idyllic North German landscape. Here you can relax, enjoy the peace and at the same time actively explore the beautiful surroundings. Whether a cycling holiday or extended hikes - here you will find the perfect starting point for your adventures. We place great value on sustainability and have equipped our vacation apartment accordingly to offer you an environmentally friendly stay. Of course, your four-legged friends are warmly welcome here! Denise: Denise is a true East Frisian child with Dutch roots. She was born and raised here in East Frisia and loves living in this idyllic region. As an experienced marketing expert, climate protection manager, and sustainability manager, she passionately advocates for sustainable resource management. This passion is also reflected in our environmentally friendly vacation apartment. Mario: Originally from Lower Austria in Austria, Mario emigrated to East Frisia in 2019 for love. He quickly came to appreciate and love the many advantages and charming quirks of East Frisia. At our home, the Austrian "Servus" meets the East Frisian "Moin" – a harmonious mix of both cultures that makes our holiday apartment in Backemoor unique. Our passion: We love cycling and are always on the lookout for the most beautiful bicycle routes in East Frisia. Long walks on the East Frisian Trail and in the idyllic landscape are among our favorite activities, as well as exploring new dog paths with our French Bulldog Teo.
