On the beautiful island of Vätö, just outside Norrtälje, we find this lovely summer resort. The property consists of two houses, a larger house with kitchen, bathroom with washing machine, a living room with sofa bed, stove and dining table. There are two separate bedrooms here; one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. Leaving the living room, you come out onto a terrace with a roof, and a larger terrace without a roof with a beautiful view of the mountains and forest. There is both a charcoal grill and a gas grill here. In the newly built, beautifully furnished guest cabin, there is a living room with a stove, a small fridge and kettle. There are two bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and one with a 120 cm bed. That room has its own exit to the terrace outside. There is a bathroom with an electric toilet, but no shower. On Vätö there are nice walking areas and various bathing spots. The closest to the house is a nice lake that is popular and a bit warmer. If you want to swim in the sea, it's 1.5 km to the beach and jetty. There is a lot to see on the island, which has typical rosewood nature. Roslag granite was mined here in the past; The Royal Opera House and the Riksdag House in Stockholm were built with the red granite and the old quarries are here and there and can be visited on foot. The main town is called Harg and has a grocery store. Vätö was already built at the end of the Iron Age and there are traces to be seen on the island. There is a bus to the nice summer town of Norrtälje, well worth a visit, with cozy alleys, restaurants and shops.
