Description
Farm stay Soncy is a unique accommodation just outside the West Zeeland-Flemish village of Groede. Here, you will enjoy peace, space and nature. In short: experience outdoor life. Our holiday guests stay in modern flats in a characteristic barn. The original agricultural shed from 1865 served as a model for our new building from 2004. It is fully equipped and exudes the rustic atmosphere of yesteryear.
Besides the four apartments, we also offer a group room for larger groups of up to 24 people. This is ideal for family reunions, workshops, staff outings or as a meeting location for companies. The quiet, rural atmosphere in Groede guarantees you a relaxing stay. The name 'Soncy' is Celtic for prosperity and luck and symbolises an unforgettable time on our former farm.
The farmhouse offers four fully equipped flats and a large recreation room. All rooms offer plenty of privacy and can be rented separately. The flats overlook the vast polder landscape and have their own entrance. There is central heating. The recreation room connects the flats. This also makes our farmhouse very suitable as holiday accommodation for larger groups of up to 24 people. Each flat can accommodate six people and a baby if necessary. Highchairs and camping beds are available.
Each flat has three bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room with open kitchen. The spacious private terraces with garden furniture and a barbecue overlook a large playing field. This field can be used for all sorts of purposes: from football or a picnic to sunbathing.
The three bedrooms contain a double hotel bed, two single hotel beds and a bunk bed, respectively. The bathroom has a bathtub, separate shower, toilet and sink. The flats on the ground floor have a second toilet. The kitchen has built-in appliances: there is an oven, microwave, gas cooker, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. Each flat has a washing and drying machine and an ironing board. In the living room, you will find an HD television with cable connection and a DVD player. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Farmhouse Soncy is in a quiet and rural location. The artists' village of Groede is just a stone's throw away. Here, you can do your shopping at the local supermarket, hire bicycles, have a drink at the market square or go for a walk and enjoy the surroundings. Visit the famous museum street! Here you will find the 'Vlaemsche Erfgoed' (Slijkstraat) with a historic hair salon, nostalgic grocery shop, carpentry workshop, bakery and inn. Groede is also a great place for culinary delights. There are many restaurants in various price categories with versatile menus.
Just outside the village, about four kilometres from Boerderijverblijf Soncy, you will find the beautiful Zeeuws-Vlaanderen coastal area. Discover here what Zeeland is famous for: its beautifully wide and, above all, clean sandy beaches.
Cyclists, hikers and horse riders are pampered in the Groede area with an extensive network of cycling, hiking and equestrian routes. Enjoy the varied landscape. Here, in addition to the beaches, you will also discover the vast polders with characteristic elements such as islands, old dykes and pollard willows. Would you like to explore the area even further? Trips to interesting towns nearby such as Sluis, Aardenburg and the Belgian cultural cities of Bruges and Ghent are recommended!
