The country house Sielmönken is the house of the former village ferryman. You will spend your holiday on a unique, large waterfront property directly on the Greetsieler Tief. Your secluded holiday paradise is a haven of peace, offering opportunities for fishing and boating – directly from the property, with two canoes ready. The large property is a play paradise for children. Milk and eggs from the producer are offered in the neighborhood. The house offers comfort for two people on the one hand and is also suitable for 6 people. The house features every comfort, washing machine and dishwasher are a matter of course, two bathrooms and four bedrooms are available, the kitchen is fully equipped, and free internet access via Wi-Fi completes the offer.

The nearest shopping facilities are 4 km away in the centre of Pewsum, where you will find all the shops you need for your daily needs. The house is surrounded by three farms, a detached house and the historic foundation walls of the former Augustinian monastery Sielmönken The village "Kloster Sielmönken" consists of three farms and two private houses and offers the visitor peace and relaxation and at the same time proximity to the North Sea and the coastal bathing resorts such as Greetsiel and Norddeich.

Stress-free holiday
We stayed with 6 people in this very clean house. Everything was as described and even grandma could get around everywhere with her walker. We had a very relaxed week, also the contact with the landlord was very pleasant.

Beautiful days "between the years"
We stayed at the country house over New Year's Eve 2022/23 and felt very comfortable.
Especially great was the peace and quiet on New Year's Eve.
That's exactly what we were looking for and we were not disappointed.

A wonderful summer holiday
we (family with a seven-year-old child) spent 14 wonderful, relaxing and eventful days in the romantic country house Sielmönken, which we will always remember with great pleasure. The very nicely furnished and cosy house is situated on a huge property with a wonderful stock of trees and bordering on pastures and a canal. There are many beautiful things to discover and experience in the surrounding area (e.g. Campen lighthouse, Greetsiel, Rysum, Pilsum, towns such as Leer, Emden, Norden, Jever and Aurich, windmills, mudflat walks, East Frisian islands, Eternal Sea, Norddeich seal station ...). There is something for everyone, for rainy weather there are also interesting museums, and after longer tours you can wonderfully relax in the house in the rain or in the garden in sunny weather. In the morning, you are woken up by the rooster of the neighbouring farm. Cyclists also get their money's worth. The landlord was very friendly and helpful. We found it very difficult to say goodbye at the end.

Security under tall trees behind thick walls
We, a couple, were looking for seclusion, silence, and fresh air, and we found it. Even with space for eight people, we did not feel lost. One bedroom for sleeping, the beds (mattresses and duvets) are excellent, one as a home office, the rest ignored. And two bathrooms for two people are almost luxurious. We easily endured temperatures above 30 degrees in the shady greenery and temperatures below 14 degrees in the cozy, occasionally heated living area. Seas, country, villages, lighthouses, and... invited us to explore. We shopped at the weekly markets with freshly peeled shrimps, Emden is the closest, Norden the most beautiful. Of the cities, Leer impressed us the most. In short, we have recovered very well, as we had hoped, away from the holiday home settlements with their uniformity.
