Cosy traditional Canarian house totally refurbished in 2023 for the enjoyment of a holiday in the warmest and most exuberant area of Gran Canaria, Mogán.
The house of the old queen (Casa de la Vieja Reina) owes its peculiar name to the fact that it was the home of Doña María Reina, great-grandmother of the current owner. The house has been recently refurbished, maintaining the charm of the original house, wide stone walls and hardwood ceilings, but the equipment is modern and functional, to offer the maximum comfort to our guests during their stay.

The sunny and spacious terrace is a highlight, where you can enjoy the sun and a dip in the pool, or read a good book under the shade of the flowering flamboyant flamboyant. The village of Mogán and the beach of Puerto de Mogán are less than 8 minutes away by car. Within walking distance there are trails and paths for hiking. In short, its strategic location close to the countryside and the sea, in the area with the most hours of sunshine in Gran Canaria, make this place the ideal accommodation for a well-deserved holiday.

Beautiful, well restored house

Very tastefully (stone and wood) restored, old house on a large plot. Private parking available. The house is located directly on a road, which can be disturbing early in the morning. Therefore, we recommend taking ear protection. However, the location is good in terms of traffic. You can quickly reach all directions and the airport is 40 minutes away. Puerto de Mogan can be reached by car in a few minutes (about 1 hour on foot). The house offers plenty of space for 2 people and a lot of storage space (great wardrobe system), making a longer stay possible. The modern equipment is simple, high quality, and well thought out. Bed linen and towels are provided in sufficient quantities. The kitchen equipment is clearly above the level of many other holiday homes. The bathroom is not very large but also offers enough storage space and a comfortable shower. Outside, there is a large terrace with sun protection and wind protection, as well as a small pool as a highlight. The garden furniture is rather simple. A washing machine and cleaning materials were also available. Behind the house, there is a fenced wild garden area. We noticed a young cat that seems to reside there. Unfortunately, we could not find the owner. We talked to the neighbor who takes care of some cats and provides water. As we like cats very much, the animal did not bother us at all. Occasionally, we gave it some food. However, for those who do not like cats, there is no need to worry. The animal is very shy and does not come to the property to beg. We could have easily imagined adopting the young cat. Overall, the accommodation is suitable for people who appreciate a high-quality equipped lodging, but do not enjoy a traditional vacation and still like the proximity to a tourist resort with facilities.
