NEW! Holiday home Diemelquelle - with 2 bedrooms
Dog and family friendly holiday home in Willingen-Usseln with very good facilities and fenced large garden near the Diemelquelle. Hiking trails and the Upland nature start only 200m from the house.

ATTENTION: The house has been completely renovated and is bookable from mid-July 2023. The fresh photos from 28.05.2023 after the basic cleaning provide first impressions. The furnishing is not yet finished on the pictures. Various furnishings are still missing, including beds, TV and media equipment, decoration, curtains/plissiers, terrace furniture.


If you are looking for comfort, tranquillity and nature in the Willingen Upland, away from the lively main town of Willingen, this is the place for you!
Willingen-Usseln is a climatic health resort with a spa park and two ski lifts, its own town centre with good shopping facilities, railway station and all kinds of family-friendly leisure facilities. It is 5 km to Willingen. :


The house is ideal for guests with dogs, hikers, sprightly seniors, nature lovers and families.
Occupancy with max. 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. The house cannot be occupied by 5 adults.

WILLINGEN/Upland in the DIEMELSEE NATURE PARK: Four-season holiday destination in the most visited resort of the low mountain ranges. Willingen (550-843 m) is a climatic health resort & winter sports destination; its wide range of leisure activities is unique in Germany, which is why Willingen with its slogan "Everything I want" is equally popular among young and old.

The apartment is located in Willingen-Usseln - a climatic health resort and winter sports destination with its own profile! Usseln belongs to the municipality of Willingen (5km away) and was the main town in Upland before Willingen until after World War II. Those who prefer to live a bit away from bustling tourist centers will find Usseln to be the right place. Many residents of Willingen consciously live in Usseln, as Willingen has three times more guest beds than inhabitants. Usseln is also an attractive vacation destination with a unique character, many vacation apartments & homes, renowned hotels, numerous shops, and a variety of leisure facilities:
its own spa park, outdoor pool, mini golf, Diemel spring with Graf-Stollberg Hut, riding stables, local history museum, and attractive hiking trails.
Particularly worthwhile are the Curioseum and the Milk MUHseum of the Upländer Farmers' Dairy. The Upland is also referred to as the "Allgäu of the North" due to its meadow hills and intensive dairy farming.

In winter, there are two ski lifts with snowmaking and floodlights in Usseln, numerous cross-country ski trails (only 400m from the Maisonette-Traum holiday apartment), and the EWF Biathlon Arena (Olympic training performance center with a 2km snow-covered floodlit trail; in summer, an asphalted skating trail). Additional leisure activities in the area:
Summer beach swimming at Diemelsee; for hikers, Willingen with Europe's largest high moor and eight 800m peaks is the top destination in the Sauerland. Ettelsberg-Hochheideturm - the highest observation point in northwest Germany. Bike park with World Cup downhill course.
Ski area Willingen - one of the top mid-mountain ski resorts; 15km of slopes, 6km of floodlit slopes, 11 lifts, >90 snow cannons, 80km of cross-country ski trails. Not only is the après-ski legendary, it's Saturday Night Fever all year round! The highlight is the World Cup ski jumping!

Additional price information:

All basic prices are for 4 people and include bed linen (beds made), towels and final cleaning. Our daily prices above mentioned are calculated for a stay of 4 nights!


Please note the following important information:

1. When making inquiries and bookings, please avoid arrivals and departures on Saturdays whenever possible, as we do not want to disrupt busy weekends. Instead of Saturday, please arrive on Friday or Sunday if possible.
For arrivals/departures on Saturdays, we charge a surcharge of € 109, which is not shown in the price calculator!

2. We cannot offer discounts for Sunday-to-Sunday bookings, as cleaning staff receive a 100% wage supplement for working on Sundays and public holidays, as stipulated by collective agreement. This means that for Sunday-to-Sunday bookings, we always charge the base price per night specified for the respective season x7, even if a discount is calculated in the price calculator.

Further exceptions for arrivals/departures:
Ski Jumping (FIS World-Cup): Arrival only possible on Thursday/Friday (no arrivals on Saturday)
Carnival: Arrival only on Thursday/Friday Possible (not Saturday, Sunday, or Carnival Monday)
Easter: Arrival only until Maundy Thursday (arrival on Good Friday only possible with a minimum booking of 9 nights)
Easter: No arrival possible on Easter Saturday or Easter Sunday
Easter: No departure possible on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, or Easter Sunday
Pentecost: Arrival Thursday/Friday (arrival on Pentecost Saturday only possible with a minimum booking of 8 nights)
Pentecost: No arrival/departure possible on Pentecost Sunday!
Christmas Holidays: No departure possible on December 24, 25, 26, 31, or New Year's Day

You will receive the binding total price from us via email with your inquiry or booking. Upon booking, you can withdraw from the contract after receiving the reservation confirmation, provided you do not agree to the final price.

In addition to all prices, a tourist tax of currently € 2,50 per person/night for guests aged 15 and over (as of 2024) will be charged.

Security Deposit:
A general security deposit of € 300 is required for this property.
The security deposit is payable along with the final payment no later than 14 days before arrival and will be refunded to you within seven to ten business days after departure.

- 20% deposit within one week of receiving the booking confirmation.
- Remaining payment up to 14 days before arrival

Had a wonderful week.

Had a wonderful week. Beautiful location where it was great to walk with the dogs. Park close to the cozy Willingen and, for example, the Diemelsee. Fully furnished and spacious house with a relatively large garden. The downside we found was that the gardener came to mow the lawn without saying anything and left the mowed grass lying around, which ended up all over the house. Further perfect. Beautiful location, where it was wonderful to walk with the dogs. The holiday park is near the sociable Willingen and also the Diemelsee. Completely furnished and spacious house with a relatively large garden. As a disadvantage, we felt that the gardener simply came to mow the lawn without saying anything, and left the mowed grass behind, which ended up in the house. Otherwise perfect.
