Recommendations: Assens itself, with supermarkets and a few other shopping options and cafes, will be a bit busier in the main season. We were on site in the off-season and visited it for our shopping from time to time. Odense, as the next larger city, was definitely worth a trip. For Copenhagen or Legoland, you had to plan some travel time, but both were worth it as well.
